Review The Melting Pot - Dallas

Overall this was a cool concept. I had a partying of 4. Reservation are highly recommended. We Had one cooking burner, in my opinion, wasn't enough. I believe they were short staffed. We were seated at 5:30 pm. It took 20 minutes for the server to get our order. Salads took another 30 minutes. By 7:20 we were given our uncooked proteins. We were finally done cooking the food at 9:15pm. We all ordered The classic, one order was missing, however, the manager quickly gave us the 4th order. The drinks were good. The staff was friendly. The meat was seasoned well, the pork was a bit too salty. The cheese, bread and veggies were nice. I would probably go back, but I would only have max two people. The cooking space is to small, even with two cooking burners.

This was our first visit and... blown away. The Alpine cheese was amazing. The experience was just amazing. Our server was the best "K" is the one to ask for. The meat selection was really good, but the yin yang chocolate fondue, holy cow, get the sweet additions, it is way worth it. What a great evening it was.

Fun birthday dinner for our family. Kids enjoyed dipping in the cheese and chocolate and cooking their dinner. They added an extra birthday dessert which was nice. It’s more expensive than we would normally spend out to eat but we were there over 2 hours do it’s understandable you’re paying for the experience and time. We were seated right away our server was friendly and helpful.

Leeca our server was Amazing!! We celebrated my birthday here and was not disappointed. My spouse and I had the big date night for two. Big night out classic style was delicious. Dinner starts out with your selection of cheese. The fondue comes with spread of different breads, veggies and apples. Soooo much cheese 🤩 You also get chicken of salad. I got the Caesar and my spouse got the Caprese. Both salads were healthy portioned, fresh greens and delicious dressings. The dinner entrees came out separated on a long dish. Shrimp, teriyaki steak, filet mignon, chicken and shrimp. We swapped out the salmon for more filet mignon with no extra charge (praise points). The sauces… oooh the sauces so many options! We really enjoyed the Indian spice sauce. It was great having so many sauce options to experiment with with the different types of proteins. Dessert time! We got the young an yang! Show stopper! Dessert came with two types of marshmallows, brownie bites, cookie dough bites, pound cake bites and rice crispy bites, All to Dip! Also, since it was my birthday 🥳 Leeca came to our table with a square cake and a lit candle on top. She took so many great pictures of us enjoying our spread! Service was on top of their game. Facility was clean, they kept the drink class filled. Our server was knowledgeable about every part of the fondue meal. She fun, refreshing and I felt relaxed 😌 I can enjoy my time with out worrying something was going to go wrong. Thank you so much 😊 for making my birthday celebration an amazing 🥲 one.

Went for my wife and son-in-laws combined birthday celebration. Wait staff was fun and knowledgeable. The gluten free options were tasty. Service kinda slowed toward the end of the meal and things dragged on a bit. The drinks from the bar were enjoyable. We could have been better served if the bar was open to making requested drink off menu. All in all it was an enjoyable experience and what we expected. Great location with ample parking and valet parking available. Pretty busy, but it was a weekend. Pete's piano bar is across the parking lot and a great place to finish off the evening.

Went here for my anniversary, it was ok, I expected it to be a nicer establishment. The lights are dim but if you really look, everything is kind of old and dirty window sills are dusty and chairs are flat as a board it hurt to sit there for 2+ hrs. Towards the end I couldn’t wait to stand up and get off those chairs. The bathroom was soooo dirty and messy, toilet paper across the entire floor, droppings of some sort on the window pane… just very old and dirty looking. Service was okay, the guy forgot to bring the charcuterie board and still had it on our bill so we had to ask them to take it off since we never received it. He also dropped my broccoli and when I asked for more to replace what he dropped, he never brought it and I had to ask again. Overall I wouldn’t want to return here again, I’ll give the arlington location a try and see if it’s better, and if not than I’ll do fondue at home. For the price and everything the experience should be A++ including the environment, cleanliness & service. Especially at a $140 price tag for two people course. Food was descent.. dessert was good.

Only one pot between four people and would not sit us at one with two pots, even though that's how it's stated on menu, with two people picking cheeses and chocolate. Not to mention I've been to many fondue restaurants, including other Melting Pots, that are cheaper and give the two cheeses and chocolates. They were also out of some of the alcohols. Then all of our salads had not enough dressing, and I personally had very salty salad, no clue why there was any salt on a salad to begin with. Someone else in my party also had a piece of salmon that looked old, browning on one side of the meat. During chocolate we also had banana that was not ripe whatsoever and browning. This experience also took over three hours, which can happen in fondue, but several times we had no food on the table for around 30 mins, which is not common at other places. I'd personally recommend the Melting Pot in Arlington, or Simply Fondue in Fort Worth, much better experience for less money.

What can I say...it is always a 5 star experience at this place. We love the Alpine Cheddar Fondue... and for desert... there is just no typing yin yang! It does take time so be prepared for a leisurely dinner.

The service was absolutely terrible. We’ve been to multiple locations, and have NEVER had service so bad. It all started with the greeter who showed us to the table and her attitude upon greeting us. We then waited for over 15 minutes to even be greeted by a server, while multiple servers for the other tables around us greeted the other patrons within minutes of them sitting down. The service did not improve in the slightest throughout the 2 1/2 hours that we spent, and spent most of that time was spent waiting for our server to come back. Waiting 20-25 minutes for a simple drink doesn’t even happen at a lower class, sports bar restaurant. Even though we spent 2 1/2 hours there, we didn’t make it through the 4 courses and finally had to cancel the chocolate course. We had to request multiple times for different things, and saw the server only a handful of times while the other tables were serviced and handled to the normal quality that we usually receive when attending one of your locations. I am very disappointed with how tonight was handled, especially considering this evening was supposed to be a celebratory anniversary dinner which the server never once mentioned in the time that we were there.

I came last night for my daughters birthday mostly for the chocolate fondue. We ended up getting a cheese appetizer too since it smelled so good! I’m glad we did! The bacon and Bri was awesome and the chocolates that we got were great too! The food was delish and Our waiter Chance was amazing! He was so nice to Madi and our whole group and very insightful and prompt he was the best server I’ve ever had dining out! I will definitely be coming back and asking for him again!

My family & I love this place. We usually start with the fiesta cheese, and house salad with the tangy dressing, land & sea coq au vin style, and end it with the flaming turtle! Mmmm good!! I highly recommend this place for a fun date night.

Food was great, service was awful. When we spoke to the manager (Rosa) about our concerns, she gave us her business card and said to call on Monday after we've "stepped away from the situation." When I pointed out our waters were not ever refilled she replied with, "I'm sorry we couldn't keep up with the amount of water you're drinking tonight." They also blamed the other staff (kitchen and bar) for their mishaps. I understand being busy, but our waiter never once apologized for an excessive wait or even came back after our meal. We sat with our dirty dinner plates (NO food left) for over 20 minutes before seeking out a manager. A different manager, Joseph, ended up helping us and 100% turned the situation around. He was helpful and addressed the issues. Thanks to him we were able to enjoy the rest of our meal.

Our waiter Bryan went out of his way to make our special occasion even more special. We've had Bryan as our waiter twice & he is phenomenal! Great food, superior service.

What a fun night out. The cooking style paces the meal and makes for longer meal with more conversation. The S'mores desert was to die for, the service was great and the overall vibe of the place was quiet and fun.

Wait staff was very thorough with great personality. The food was only average and the prices are on par with a decent steakhouse. Also took over 2 hours. Likely not going back.

Seven of us from my family went there to celebrate my 70th birthday. The SW en of us fit around the booth perfectly. It was great going with the group because that way you get to parts at a time, and you get to pick the choices between each meal of what you want and how you cook it. The food and the service were outstanding. The waiter we had was perfectly trained. When we were trying to make choices, he spent a long time explaining everything on the menu and how the fondue assortments worked. We would definitely go back there with the group for a special occasion.

Very hit-or-miss service & consistently high prices-- sometimes, more than high prices. And they raise their prices without notice for heavy-date occasions-- including but not at all limited to Valentines' Day-- without notice. The result is a place that seems to desperately want to APPEAR to be the epitome of class without following through on actually being classy much of the time. If you're both lucky enough to get an attentive, competent server, and you also plan your package out in advance carefully, it can be decadent, delicious, & merely expensive, & not outrageous. But that's rare enough I cannot recommend Melting Pot.

Awesome duck!! Excellent waiter and the chicken and vegetables were out of this world. The location was nice and across the street was a forth of july celebration. Definitely a great place to go!

Since you asked... we go to the same Melting Pot about once a quarter for Girls Night Out. We went last Saturday (yesterday) and were “treated” to a 3 Hour dining experience. One of our party was late, so we were forced to stay in the bar until she arrived, instead of being seated and allowed to order further cocktails. I ordered a martini at the bar at the same time another girl in my party ordered a glass of wine. She was served immediately and I waited 15 minutes for my drink - apparently the bar was out of clean martini glasses and I had to wait for a dishwashing cycle. Had I known or been informed by the bar staff of the impediment, I would have just gotten wine. This should have been a red flag for the rest of the night, but we didn’t pick up on it. Once we were seated, it took 30-45 minutes for our two bottles of wine to be served (to seven women) while we drank water and waited for our first course. We would have ordered 3rd and 4th bottles, but we were worried we wouldn’t be given enough time to drink them. The restaurant closed at 11-we hadn’t even received our last course by then. The 4 course experience is supposed to take 1.5-2 hours, not 3. It definitely felt like we were being punished for a late arrival even though the restaurant was NOT BUSY and we had no idea that was going to happen. Our waiter was charming and the food - when it arrived - was good. Not our best experience, but also not out only experience.

We had 7 family members celebrating two birthdays. My wife's 70th and my granddaughter's 12th. It was one of our most memorable get togethers. Everyone had great fun sharing each other's food and laughing at each other. The food was very good and the service was top notch. Definitely recommended for four more people because there are more choices to share.
