El Taco Riendo

My friends and I went yesterday for happy hour and we were very disappointed in their service. This is our usual hang out spot for happy hour and we had always had great experiences, staff had always been attentive and helpful. The previous bartenders always provided a great, fast service and we enjoyed out time there. Erik was one of the bartenders we always had and another guy. However, yesterday during our visit there were two new bartenders. We were there from about 6 pm in the afternoon until 8:30 p.m. At first we were the only ones there and they were not attentive to take our orders correctly, i had to ask the bartender two different times for our orders since they were not bringing out what we had order. Then, we waited for 30 minutes for them to give us our tab, we had to ask one of the guys that was there for our tab. We enjoy their drinks and the spot is very chill and nice to hang out just wish that the new staff would be more attentive. On top of the bad service while we ordered several drinks and food items from their happy hour menu, we still realized they charged us regular price and not happy hour prices.

If you blink, you'll miss the 'shoebox' bar next door which is what this post is really about. Let's just say it is mixology drink heaven. So don't be shy to ask the bartender to 'just make me something good.' You won't care about the price, trust me!. I just recommend to get there btwn 8&830 since there's quite a few regulars that show up and the place is tiny yet intriguing, eclectic, unique & fun social time....

Haven’t been so disappointed by a restaurant in years. Overpriced, small, flavorless tacos; don’t know how you can cook the flavor out of meats like lengua y cabeza. Overpriced sides for the portion that you get, lightly seasoned and lightly garnished making for a completely bland meal. Will not be coming back. Potatoes weren’t all that bad tho As a side note, the food quality is not the fault of the cooks or FOH staff at all. It is a managerial and ownership issue to be peddling less than mediocre food at this price point.
