I had an opportunity to eat at Taste of the World when a friend had a party there. Not only was the food very tasty (don't even get me started on the fried pork belly, lechon kawali) but the owners were friendly, personable and absolutely hilarious. We ordered a LARGE amount of food and we had all of appetizers and main course within an hour, which was impressive. The food, the atmosphere and the pleasent conversation made the dinner extremely enjoyable and I will be going back again very soon.

I've never even eaten here, just read the review posted by Daniel and wanted to help the (not so) old Dutch proprietor keep his ratings high. I'm sure, had I been there, I would have found the cuisine delectable. Also, you have to admire the fearlessness shown in their chosen name for the mochi type rice cake. I doubt that gets ordered often by the Latin language speaking clientele. But that's ok, more for me when I go. Cheers!

The evening dinner search started with a craving for lumpia and by time the night was over we had a sweet conversation with the restaurant owner over good food about publishing books and traveling across Southeast Asia. This little place has both charm and character along with affordable tasty treats. My wife and I will continue to support local business owners with a passion for their food and sharing stories with their customers. The overly critical might dismiss this place for not having all the bells and whistles of the surrounding Dallas big name restaurants, but if you want a nice home cooked Filipino meal with a funny old Dutch man and his sweet Filipina wife then this is your place. If you're the daring food eater try the Balut. The must try dark horse is Puto kuchinta - a sweet rice flour cake dessert reminiscent of the wildly popular Japanese mochi.

The customer service is amazing and the food is even better. The food is inexpensive and well worth the money. Also, this cute little restaurant has the best Tiramisu I've ever tasted!
