The Nurungji Chicken is served in a sizzling stone bowl that cannot be found anywhere else in Dallas. The wood fire rotisserie chicken is juicy and moist, but the real star is the crispy, toasted rice coated with mozzarella cheese, sweet corn, and spicy white rice cake.
The owner, Christi, is very courteous and I'm glad that I had the opportunity to eat here.

Great service and a fun experience! Get extra spicy sauce on the side to add so the chicken doesn't get too dry.

Cashier was very polite. The fried chicken was pretty good but the corn nurungji chicken was a bit dry and the rice on the bottom was over cooked and had black burnt marks making it inedible.

Nurungji is a traditional Korean dish of scorched crispy rice and one example of this. At Nurungji Chicken they take an entire oak-fired chicken and sets it on a bed of this delicious crunchy treat.
We ordered the Nurungji Spicy Chicken, which comes with the oak-fired chicken served on nurungji and smothered in cheese, corn, and spicy tteokbokki (Korean rice cakes in spicy sauce). If spicy isn’t your thing, they also have one that’s just smothered in a lot of cheese and corn! Can’t go wrong with either one. Honestly, this chicken would be just fine by itself, but eating it this way is a truly unique experience that we HIGHLY recommend.
We first tried Nurungji Chicken last year after seeing their ribeye steak sandwich go locally viral in a Facebook group. While we had gotten their steak sandwich several times, we had yet to get a chance to try the chicken. BUT, because I still love that sandwich, it wouldn’t be a trip to me without it, so we ordered that as well to share. But honestly, if you are looking for an excellent meal on a budget, the chicken by itself is more than enough to satisfy 2 people.

Small, clean place with good service and delicious good. Huge servings with lots of flavor!
Revisited again after 3 years on March 19, 2022. Food quality has remained the same. Loved the soup!

First time visit was great, the mango habanero wings were awesome! Big flappers and dummies, cooked well.. Not slimy and gross like other places. I'll be back to try a new flavor soon!

It was first time here and definitely won't be the last. Everything we tried was excellent. Service was also excellent and lady behind the counter was very pleasant. She explained various menu options and made a few recommendations.

The spicy chicken was the best I ever had. It was sooo tender and the crispy rice at the bottom that was topped with cheese and corn was like heaven. The spruce sauce and rice cake just made it even better! I’m still craving it after I left.
