We love the food here. It’s a different style of South American food for people to enjoy. The chacapas are our favorite! So much so we have offered them as a breakfast item at our bed and breakfast. My son ordered a type of sandwich and loved the flavor of the meat. We will be back

Lulu, smoothie is amazing. Arepa is off the charts a bit small but very good. The vegan plate with a great portion. Great on flavor.

Had the ham, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich and it did not disappoint. The bread was delicious, and the portion was just right. It is served with plantain chips and a homemade salsa.

I have always enjoyed the Cachapas in this amazing place. Not only is the food great, but you can also find Venezuelan sweets. Little bit of everything.

My girlfriend is from Venezuela, and we were looking for a place I could try the famous Cachapas.
This restaurant turned out to be a great choice, we both loved our meal and will likely be back again

Wow wow. We moved to East Texas and missed our food from back home badly. Came to Dallas area and stumbled upon this gem. Food is delicious! Waitress Karina O. was welcoming and kind! I had the sampler and my husband had the Ropa Vieja. Finished it off with Tiramisu. Will definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful dinner ❤️

Quaint little place with delicious food. Their menu is extensive with lots to choose from, it took is a minute to decide. We ended up getting the Chachupa with beef/cheese and Arepas, 1 with chicken/cheese 1 with pork/cheese. The Chachupa was kinda sweet but like corn sweet, not pastry sweet. The Arepa was more savory. They have different smoothies to choose from, either water, Milk or ice cream based. The pastelito with Guava and chocolate Gelato were a great ending. Would definitely go again.

This place is such a gem. I will be going back many times! Great food and a lot of options. If you want authentic Venezuelan, Columbian or Argentinean food, this is the place. You MUST get the Tequeños! Best thing I've had all year. I would go there just for these little cheese sticks. We had the Arepas, Empanadas, Tequeños and cachito. Good prices too.

Overall food was ok. The colombia empanada was ok. I prefer the Argentina baked ones. Chicken a milaness was good, it lacked a sauce to go with it, a tomato sauce would have made it a lot better. Food was plenty for two. The 4 laches cake was ok, the ratio of sauce and cake was umbalace and the excessive sauce didn't make for the cake flavor.

As a mexican, Zaguán is one of those places I like to bring others - especially American, when talking about Latin cuisine and culture. They have Venezuelan food mostly, sprinkled with some Colombian, and what I consider to be some tex-mexed flair.
Needless to say, I come here fairly frequently, maybe half a dozen times a year - more than any other food establishment. I'd love to give 5 stars, but my most recent visit was somewhat of a disappointment.
I always order Tequeños to start and normally they arrive hot to the point of the cheese inside resembling molten lava, but this time they were mildly warm at best. I always have a hard time deciding between arepas and cachapas so I normally order both and end up with delicious leftovers, this time was not the exception. I highly recommend the passion fruit smoothie (made with water, not milk) and their coffee is excellent too, if you're a caffeine lover, try the cortado, You won't regret it.
The main reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because this last visit the service was atrocious! We (2 people) arrived and found a table to sit at as it's open seating. We waited 5 min, no one came around; after 10 minutes, we got menus; after that nothing. 2 other tables came in, sat down, and got serviced right away with water and appetizers! After 10 more minutes waiting we were going to stand up and leave but I really wanted a cachapas so I was forced to flag down the server to get them to take our order and even after that we felt ignored throughout.
I sincerely hope this was a one-time freaky timing related hiccup, I would hate to have to find another place to get my arepa fix =/

We were transported back to Costa Rica! The restaurant decor is beautiful and creates a warm atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful as we decided what to order. We enjoyed the Zaguan Sampler. The cheese sticks and fried sweet plantain were our favorites, but of course, it was all delicious and exactly what we were craving. We also ordered a mango passion fruit smoothie and a guanana smoothie. They we both delicious and my first time trying guanana, it had a mild and refreshing flavor. I highly recommend this place and we will back!
