Da Munchies
This is a small eatery with limited seating. This black owned and operated business is right across the Trinity River bridge🏞️🌉 going into the Oak Cliff neighborhood. Just right off of Westmoreland and Canada Street. It's sitting in the far left corner of Westmoreland Park Plaza. You have to download the menu onto your mobile 📱device. It is better for you to get familiar with the menu 📝before you get on site. The menu is quite overwhelming. This is also a Daiquiri🍹 Shop to go. The food is made fresh to go and their is a wide range of vegan selection to choose from on menu. Today I'm choosing to eat all the vegetables on the menu. Basically a vegetable 🥑🍠🥒🍅🌽🥦 sample platter. Also she's going to cook me a special made freestyle burger with fries 🍟. This is truly a hidden Jewel of a place inside the city of Dallas older neighborhood. First the six vegetables and sides were off the chain. Seasoned very well and delicious. Also try the fresh fruit 🍍🥭🍓🍊 drinks they had in the refrigerator that were fresh and refreshing. Overall I would highly recommend this place👍👍 to put on your list for eating vegan in Dallas on the go. Blessing to Ms. Angie my chef for this wonderful meal and Ms. Nikea who want me through all of my menu selections 😇🙏❤️
Hands down the absolute best vegan food I’ve ever had! I’ve been here a few times and I’ve never been disappointed.. I would go absolutely every day if I was closer and the traffic wasn’t so bad.. even if you are not vegan, you should definitely try this place. You would be happy you did and you get a great amount of food, they’re not stingy with your portions… I’m actually headed there now!
I love Ms.Angie! The food is ALWAYS amazing and well worth the wait! I appreciate the down home hospitality and innovative menu too. Since the first time I cam in she has treated me like family , even mentoring me as I am working on open my own vegan cafe as well. THATS LOVE! I'm so proud to see yet another successful black owned vegan restaurant in Dallas!
This food is so delicious and if you are missing feeling so called normal food habits. Da Munchies will hook you up. The food taste like the normal texture of meat. But it’s not meat, because it’s VEGAN!!! I don’t get to go often. But when I do I enjoy the food whole heartedly. Y’all should go check them out.
My husband and I were in a time crunch and stopped here to pick up food to go. The young lady at the window told us that it would be a few minutes before our order would be ready. So we decided that tonight would not be the best night to try this highly anticipated spot. I regret not getting the young lady’s name. She was so sweet. She apologized for the time and offered us tacos so that we would have something on our tummy. Hear me: THANK YOU FOR THE SUGGESTION, Ma’am!!! The flavor of the jackfruit burst through and made a statement of it’s own! The added crunch from the tortilla and the marriage of the sauce that topped it was an added bonus! I love them!!!! They were soooo good!
But what I enjoyed even more than the taco itself was this sweet lady’s customer service! It’s worth the drive, the walk, the flight, the jog...we’re going back tomorrow!
Everything was closed on Monday’s but Muchies got me right today .. I had the philly steal egg roll 🔥 the tacos wasn’t bad just a little different .. overall I enjoyed it! I’ll be back to try something else
2nd time there wasn't as good as the first :(, but I would definitely go back to try other things on the menu. It was busy, so I chalk it up to that. The wait was about 30 minutes, because the 2 ladies in the kitchen are the waitstaff and the chefs. Miss Angie is an amazing woman with great recipes. Go try it!
Dallas is blooming with vegan fare but this place, nestled into a corner on a corner, is by far one of the best that I have tried so far. I ordered the vegan fish and chips and the Big Mac n Cheese Buffalo Chik'em Sammich to go. The fish had the same consistency as fish without eating fish with a perfectly seasoned artichoke core paired with a plateau of fries. My favorite of the duo is th Buffalo Chik'em sammich. The soft and flavorful Mac n cheese coupled with that Chik'em patty on that soft roll was all I really needed. The fries were good but that sammich touched my soul. I plan on coming back when possible to try out the rest of that vegan menu. Thank you for the awesome food, great service, and the full belly. 1Love
Yummy! Banana Pudding is unbelievably delicious! Tried the chikn waffle sliders....best vegan bacon. Too good to be real. Fried "catfish"😊 and a "shrimp poboy". Best vegan food for non-vegans. Hands down.
I walked in and waited about 6 minutes to be acknowledged. The owner was very attentive and nice. I ordered the vegan Big Mac N cheese. The burger was delicious I think the meat was made out of fried portabella mushroom and it had pico de gallo, Mac n cheese, mayo and buffalo sauce 😋. I wish the owner informed me that the fries were going to have chili pepper :/. Me and my friends enjoyed the food, we will be coming back very soon.
