Review Shake Shack Dallas, Preston Royal - Dallas

Garrett Reed
Shake Shack as always had a good food. Price is a little high single each item is priced individually. I wish the company as a whole would make combo options to make you feel like getting a deal. Since a burger, fries, drink, and vanilla shake is $21. This visit seemed to have slower food service than normal and wasn't busy. Aside from that still good place to eat, if you don't mind the price.

I went to Shake Shack at Preston Royal in Dallas and had a really good time. The food was awesome, especially the hamburgers. They were super tasty and cooked just right. The service was also really quick, which was great because I was hungry. Overall, I had a great experience there with delicious food and fast service.

My FAVOURITE burger joint! I really hope they open one up in Toronto someday. I love that this location has a patio outdoors and plenty on seating indoors. The service is consistently friendly and efficient here. The beef is really tasty, the egg bun is buttery and melt in your mouth, the crinkle fries are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Make sure to ask for extra shack sauce on the side to dip your fries, and your burger! It sooo delicious!!

An upscaled mature In-N-Out. The crinkle fries are better and the burgers have brioche buns. The stand out burgers that i love are the Link Burger that uses sausage from Dallas own Pecan Lodge and the Shroomstack where the patty is a juicy portobello mushroom. Any other burger really just reminded me of In-N-Out with using brioche buns, the flavor of the meat is that familiar. I tried the Black and White Malted Shake and it was great. The menu and prices really makes this fancy restaurant that focuses on the almighty burger. I dont think your bank account would appreciate you frequenting this place regularly as one can any fast-food restaurant. Thats ok though because i do enjoy coming here on a seldom cheat day. Service was great and workers (really woman) made sure food was served and tables were clean.

I just tried this restaurant for the first time today and let me say, they really got good burgers. I had their basic shack burger and it tasted really good. It didn't quite fill me up though, so next time I will get the double and make it a combo so I can try their shakes. I recommend this restaurant. It was clean and the service was good.

Great burger and fries. No frills or foo foo pop poo, this is the real deal. The crinkle cut fries and hamburger were delish. Friendly staff, clean restrooms, clean and tidy environment and plenty of parking. Today was the first time I have visited this establishment but it will not be my last. Located in a strip mall and visible from the street.

Food was great! I was checked on several times during my meal. I really like the self serve kiosks at Shake Shack.

Really good for burgers and hot dogs. Great flavor. Really convenient as you order up front and sit down.

I’ve tried the ‘shroom’ burger. It is meatless, more of a mushroom and cheese deep fried patty. I’ll say size of a good handful. Pretty good and twist from the usual burger.

Pricey, but tasty. Their avocado bacon burger is delicious! Helpful staff

Ok so here’s the verdict! Fries: We’ve all come to know the accordion style fries as the red headed step child of the French fry world. Offered up in bags in the freezer aisle or those soggy school cafeteria derivatives. In this instance though they were simply fantastic. Served piping hot and bringing with them incredible crispness and crunch. A+ Chicago Dog: They serve a split style dog here to get a bit more texture from the griddle. Toppings were standard Chicago style offerings. Decent but not among the best I’ve had. B- ShackBurger: They have a few specialty burgers on the menu but I thought I should go with the namesake for my maiden voyage. Bun was fresh and soft. Toppings were minimal but fresh. The burger patty itself was of the “smash burger” style but surprisingly still very juicy inside. The sum of it’s parts yielded a very tasty burger, however big appetites should order two or perhaps the double. There’s a homemade quality to it that’s quite nice. A DFW May well be the burger center of the universe at this point. With West Coast offerings from In-N-Out, Midwest champion Steak ‘n Shake, and now the new kid on the block from NYC Shake Shack we’ve got the full offerings when paired with hometown favorite Whataburger. Shake Shack easily holds its own and I’ll certainly be adding it to the rotation.

The fries. The bacon cheddar fries. They are life! 😍 And the apple pie shake thing? It sounded iffy but if you have a chance to taste it, do it!! I love the crispness of the chicken sandwich, but to me, it needed a little salt and a little less of some other seasoning I wasn’t so crazy about. Maybe curry powder? I’m not sure. It was still a good chicken sandwich, though. 😊

Finally stopped in to give their burgers a try. Someone must have poked too many holes in the salt shaker. The burgers were a bit salty, and this included sporadic regions that tasted like sea water.

Tried Shake Shack for the first time at the Crescent Hotel location. It was great. Burger cooked as ordered, juicy w/fresh condiments & crispy fries w/chili, which they recommended & were surprisingly good. Next, we tried the one Preston/Royal. Still good, but they said they have never offered chili fries. OK. Went back 2/1. Hamburgers were not cooked well. Ordered medium for both. The very center was medium, but the rest varied from medium well to burnt. Further, since we had ordered it “to go”, there was no practical remedy when we got home. Very, very frustrating. In sum, consistent quality is vital to your long term success. Keep your burgers juicy & properly cooked. Don’t over press or over salt. Have a system to easily order & receive your sauce on the side. Upscale “to go” fast food is big these days & you have many competitors in this part of town. Hope you regroup & get it right.

They should really make it more obvious that their shroom burger contains no meat. It’s just a fried portobello mushroom in a bun. It completely ruined my first visit there.
