We popped in for a late dinner. I had pinto beans and sausage and loved it, just enough spice but not overwhelmed. Hubs had lemon chicken, he eats a bit healthier than I, and he said it was delicious. I had a bite of his green beans and they were cooked perfectly, al dente without being raw. BUT, the pimento cheese appetizer is a MUST HAVE, that's all I'm going to say, try it, trust me.
The biscuits were amazing. We had a big group go for brunch and tried almost every biscuit sandwich on the menu. The biscuits and gravy with the Jimmy’s sausage gravy were phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and head to Kitchen now - this will be a great neighborhood spot for East Dallas!
We went for brunch, it's a very cute and cozy restaurant with excellent chicken and waffles. Different than many I've had, a cornbread and jalapeno waffle which paired really well with the chicken, syrup, and slightly sweet butter.
My wife had the chilaquiles, which she liked. I was less impressed by them but it's not my favorite dish.
The doscuits were amazing! Definitely get them, we'll have to get more biscuit dishes next time.
Also free mimosas!
Wonderful restaurant with great service and the food is outstanding! The shrimp and grits tamale was very good as was the salmon. The fried chicken is excellent and the desserts are fresh and delicious. Cozy restaurant for the family and or friends. Great atmosphere and I highly recommend this great new restaurant. Five stars
I was hit with a craving for strawberry shortcake on a lazy night and Jack's was the only place on UberEats that delivered a proper biscuit shortcake. We started with the lemon curry deviled eggs which were fantastic and somehow prettily plated despite the to-go container and delivery process. If you're not a fan of curry, avoid these, as the curry flavor is relatively strong. I had the fried chicken with sour cream mashed potatoes and collard greens. The entree was a well-prepared example of a traditional southern staple. The strawberry shortcake hit the spot, and had a blueberry biscuit, which was an unusual twist. There was plenty of juice to soak into what otherwise may have been a dry biscuit. The food was prepared surprisingly quickly, and the portion size and quality was generous for the price. I look forward to visiting in person sometime soon!
Such a tasty place!! Family owned and really has that home cooked vibe. I've had the turkey meatloaf and the tuna salad and both were incredible. They also had this habenaro carrot cake I was eyeing...
