This place is adorable. Very quiet and relaxed. Owner is sooo friendly! He brought the drinks to our table and then asked if we would like water. He even came back later to bring us more water! And, my iced iced soy latte was delicious. The baked goods looked yummy as well. I will definitely be back to try some! Love Cafe Silva!

Cafe Silva is my neighborhood coffee shop!. I am a frequent visitor and am most likely to visit after my morning walk at White Rock Creek trailway which goes right behind Cafe Silva which is how I discovered it. The homemade pastries are delicious. I especially like the monkey bread muffins and the chocolate dipped macaroons. Yumm My husband and I have met up with our neighbors at Cafe Silva for morning coffee also. The shop owner, Masoom, is very kind and welcoming.

I really liked the ambience inside... the views of the creek outside are really nice. I'm not sure if it was the owner who I placed my order with, but whoever he was, he was a pleasure to talk to and seemed enthusiastic when answering my questions about their coffee options. I ended up going with the Cuban espresso, since that was the drink so highly recommended on Yelp. I was tempted to try some of their delicious-looking baked goods, but I was trying to behave so I just got my drink. It was a great choice, by the way. My only wish would be for them to start carrying heavy whipping cream, as I prefer that in my coffee over milk or half-and-half. Other than that, I'm in love with this place. I wanted to make sure I left a good review to help get people over there to try it out. I don't want them to move elsewhere or close down now that I finally found an awesome cafe close to where I work!

This place is a treasure. It is not easy to find, and its exterior isn't fancy. Who cares? The inside is warm and inviting with a really nice view of the park. The coffee is absolutely delicious. The servings are generous. Did I mention the almost constant flow of latin themed background music? Yeah. I love it. If you are a cold brew lover, this place is a must. Cafe Silva and Ascension are a tie for the best cold brew in the city of Dallas. Also, the people are incredibly warm and friendly. GO. HERE.

A small family owned coffee shop. Owners love their brew. You will get your lattes in old style cups that you have come to love unless you want the plastic to go cups. If you are curious about coffee, there is a coffee table coffee book. Their baked stuff is delicious.

By far best coffee ever! There is no bite to it or anything... just smooth. I am so glad I live close to it! Owners are extremely nice people as well. You can walk in and feel like family!

I drive by Cafe Silva on my way to work every morning and have considered stopping in and checking it out it for years, but it's in a small shopping center and the sign near the street simply says "Coffee Shop" so I figured it was just a small basic coffee place, similar to the cheap doughnut shop decor that you see oh so often. I regret not stopping here before today. Yes, it is in a small shopping center, and yes it is next door to a crematorium. If you can get past that you're in for a treat! I like the decor, it was not at all what I expected. It was nice, comfortable seating with nice tables and a sitting/reading area with more comfortable family room type chairs and some books that looked interesting. The place was clean, and the owner welcomed me as soon as I walked in. I ordered a spiced latte and as he started to craft my drink, I took a look around, pausing at the large back windows to appreciate the beautiful view of the park. I asked the gentleman who was working on my latte if this was his place, and he said that it was his and his wife's place. I told him that I like it a lot, and it was not what I was expecting. It was very nice, inviting, comfortable. The location does not do it justice, it is truly a diamond in the rough. When he asked if I would like anything else, I asked about some items on the counter. He said that his wife bakes all of the pastries. I decided to add a piece of banana bread. The spiced latte was great. Very smooth, great flavor, great foam, great temperature. The owner seemed to take great care in making the drink. Being sure to steam the milk perfectly, checking, double-checking, stirring, careful to put the perfect amount of spice on top of the foam, like he was working on an art piece. It wasn't robotic and it didn't seem like a chore. It felt more like he was in a "Best latte in Dallas" contest and was trying to put his best product up for the judges. The banana bread was also great. Very tasty and moist. Every bite was a mixed emotion of happiness for the texture and flavor and sadness for being one bite closer to finished. I'm putting the price at moderate because it is not "inexpensive" as most reviewers have indicated, nor is it "pricey". I paid $4.65 for the latte and $2.50 for the banana bread for a total of $7.15. Anyone who feels this is "inexpensive" is wrong. The dollar menu at McDonalds is "inexpensive". Price range and value are two different things. To say that a Rolls Royce is inexpensive because the ride is super smooth...is wrong. Let's be honest, folks. I know you love this place, but don't let that skew your objectivity. Anyone reading these reviews can expect to spend $5-$10 after tax per person. (For those who are still confused, inexpensive is $2-$5 from any of the fast food joints, 7-11, RaceTrac, QuikTrip, etc...) Are the items at Cafe Silva worth the asking price? Yes they are. The value is there because the coffee is hand crafted and tastes great. The pastries are custom made, fresh and awesome. I'm not saying that the place is over priced, I think that they are on par with what you would pay at other coffee specialty cafe's but at Cafe Silva you will get a better product and better service. Your coffee is made by the owner who takes pride in the quality of his work and cares more about customer service than a disgruntled coffee chain barista with no vested interest in your satisfaction or return business. That said, I don't think that this gentleman's smile and attentiveness comes from a purely business motive. I think he's genuinely a nice person. His deliberate attention to detail in crafting my drink, his smile, his willingness to answer any of my questions without seeming put off or annoyed - it all felt genuine, not fake or forced. I'll bet he's a great guy to know outside of the cafe. Nice place, great owners, spectacular food and drinks, good value for the quality. I will definitely be a regular customer.

Love the coffee and atmosphere. And their cranberry orange scone. The only drawback are their hours. Not open on my way to work and closed when I get off. I only get to enjoy them on Saturdays.
