Affordable Quality. Good sushi often comes at a premium but not at Little Katana. Great prices, friendly service, and a convenient location for those of us who work in the Galleria towers. I only wish they had a little more space.
Little Katana never disappoints and you need only go there at 12n on a weekday to see how popular this spot is.
Their volcano roll is my new favorite, since Oishii closed. The service is fast and customer friendly. The menu is broad. Thumbs up.
Fast Food Sushi. This place is located on the first floor, just outside Macy's. For a small place, they do a lot of business. Unfortunately, they use imitation crab, which really disappointed me. Other options were however, decent. Like everything else in the Galleria, they are a bit overpriced - especially for not offering real crab! Still, if I need a quick lunch, I usually hit this place for a quick pick-me-up during the week. It beats everything else in the food court!
I've eaten here before & was always satisfied, but the volcano roll was absolutely heavenly
This place is right next to Macy’s. You can order and sit on the tables and they bring you the food. The servers are great! Sushi is super delicious and tastes fresh!!! Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for some good sushi!!
Very good sushi, and I eat a lot of sushi. Highly recommend it. Only knock is service is not superior, but they are friendly. Prices about the same as most sushi places.
Okay so I see what everyone is saying and how the customer service is. Yes, she comes off as rude but when I made friendly conversation with her, she soften up and was really nice. The poke bowl was so good!!! The sticky rice was my favorite.
Pros-Food was delicious, servers were quick to respond and very polite, the environment was nice.
Con-Nothing too intolerable but just gotta point this one con out. In the nigiri, the rice to fish proportion was a bit awkward, fish was 3x larger than the small piece of rice.
Would definitely go again the next time I visit this mall.
美味しい寿司ですね。Tasty sushi and friendly staff. All these negative "reviews" are most likely just one person and their multiple alt accounts. This restaurant deserves better than that.
First time here. I’ve been reading the negative reviews and I’m gobsmacked. The staff has been nothing but kind. They are a different culture, ie taught to work. They aren’t yacking about personal matters, simply doing their jobs. I ordered the Alaskan simple, fresh flavors. I eat a LOT of sushi so think I may know what I’m talking about. Maybe not. I think I do. Salmon is absolutely fresh, succulent. Rice is spot on. Crab is sweet. Presentation is nice. I will return.
Someone posted about barstools and kids. There’s a sign that asks children not be seated at the bar because the bar stools are moveable. They are not screwed to the ground. I would’ve done the same thing and asked the family to sit at the provided tables. Just sayin...
Food was good. The one thing that I did not like was its location. Many people who came to shop their stuffs were passing by me. The reviews were not friendly but for me this place was ok to grab some food after shopping.
This review is for the Galleria location.
The not so good - Little Katana at this location is associated with Macy's and they even check you out on the Macy's POS with Misc Food item being on your receipt. This results in a bizarre setup where you have to write the tip, and then they ring you out, and you have to go to the register to finalize the transaction. However, this is the only real complaint I have. Other minor points... it is a bit on the pricey side and the seating is very limited. There are a few seats at the bar and only a handful of tables overlooking the skating rink. Beware of trying to get a seat at lunch on a Friday. Go early, or expect a considerable wait.
Now for the Good - The food is really good. The sushi is always fresh and they have some good signature rolls. I have had the maguro, hamachi, sake, toro and unagi as sushi and several as sashimi... all good choices. If you like it spicy like I do, I suggest you try the Galleria Fire and the Ahi Tower. Both are beautifully prepared and have great flavor along with a good balance of spice. This is not your typical 'mall sushi' and the quality is right in line with any of the major locations in the Metroplex. The location is also convenient if you are in the mall shopping, or have business in any of the three Galleria Towers.
