Small place with great decor, comfortable atmosphere and superb service.
The beer selection is good, but more darker beers would be an improvement in their offerings.
A short food menu offers some great shareable snacks and a handful of entrees. The cheesecake was really tasty.
The 4pm open time was a bit inconvenient relative to my convention session schedule, but I worked out a couple of visits.
A recommended stop if you're in the area.
I love the Matterhorn fries. My boyfriend & I devoured them. Surprisingly, we liked the crispy onions on top. We're both not big on onions, but it was a nice cherry on top. My Bratwurst was good, but the bread & veggies weren't anything great. The potato salad was good. Not at all what I was expecting, but it was delicious. My boyfriend said the Chicken Schnitzel Cordon Bleu was a bit overwhelming. The beers weren't bad for the price. The server was pleasant, & attentive. The restrooms were clean. I enjoyed the feel of the place & the picnic tables. A place I would go again with friends.
12:30 on a Sunday with a volleyball tournament happening. Lucky enough to get in and order quickly. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. They have German beer options as well as local beer favorites like Deep Ellum. I had a Franconian Amber from Texas.
What a fun place to bring the family. Games galore make this place a fun place to hang out with or without the kids. Food was good and the beer reasonably priced. The pretzel was good but not the best I've ever had
The giant soft pretzels are amazing. The German beers are good and not commonly found in the US. They have 16 beers on tap, but four of those 16 are bland American light beers.
Good beer, good food, great service! Totally doesn't deserve just 3.8 stars
Love this place! They have German beer you can't find elsewhere in Dallas. Food is sooo good! And an awesome view of downtown from the bar. The Rueben and matterhorn fries are the best!
This place was a blast! They do have a full bar and very attentive staff. There are games to play inside and a nice outdoor patio.
We were hesitant about going there because of some the reviews, but I certainly am glad we went! They have a nice selection of beers and while their menu is not extensive, it is very tasty. The best part was the service. I especially want to thank Daniel and his entire crew - they went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable time. In fact, we had such a good time that we closed out our long weekend in Dallas with a return trip. Will definitely go back the next time we are in town.
Not terribly impressed with the food or alcohol selection. Service was decent but a little slow. And for all the hype, it didn't live up to my exectations. This place may be the thing for other people but it just wasn't what I'd hoped it would be. Good location for the downtown area, parking somewhat limited. Give it a try but don't expect anything exceptional.
