Review The Wild Turkey - Dallas

Wow, awesome place. I was sat quickly and was able to order lunch and have a drink off the happy hour menu. Waiter was helpful and so nice. I got the chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes and green beans....so delicious

Food was hot and fresh. Just what we needed after a long day. We got the potato skins for an app, Buffalo wings for me, and my roommate got a po boy sandwich and fries. Everything tasted great and the service was really friendly. Stays open late too! So good for us night owls

Updated to 5 stars: I love the patio and how accommodating they are for pets. Solid place to down a beer. Haven't tried the food but the atmosphere is great

Had to work real late, and this was one of the only places open and still serving food. Me and my friend went in not expecting much and were pleasantly surprised. Food was good, the selection was excellent, and I can't think of anywhere else in Dallas where you can get snow crab at 1 AM. I can highly recommend the fried cheesecake and I'm not normally a cheesecake guy.

Great Food. Everything I have tryed here is really good. All my family likes this restaurant. The drinks are really good, you can literally ask for any drink you like.

Great food, but our waitress forgot about us, and we had to go inside to ask for the bill

Great local bar and grill. Loved the southwestern shrimp cocktail, the gumbo and the pot roast. Food has been consistently delicious every time I've come. Only 1 server midday on Saturday so service was a bit slow, but friendliness made up for any delays.

I’ve been here multiple times and the service is absolutely great. The bartender Steven was attentive and ensured my drink never stayed empty for long. When I wasn’t able to sit at the bar Kat was there with prompt service with a smile. This is a great place that I will continue to frequent for a night out.

The familiar atmosphere with good friends so many years after the first visit... reminiscing with new friends. The place hasn't changed much. I love coming here because of memories. Queso I recommend if you need something to stick to your gut while drinking. Philly cheese steak is yummo!!

Overall PERFECT!!! 10/10 Food: Broccoli and Cheese - perfect! Sauce is watery but the flavor is on point so it’s actually fine. Steak and Shrimp - steak and shrimp well seasoned. Zacharias Shrimp - Eat it with the homemade bbq sauce, trust me. They def make it from scratch - both the sauce and the bacon wrapped shrimp. The rice pilaf is well balanced in flavor. Buttery 🥰 Atmosphere: Mixed music with a bar environment. The bar seems to be the main focus point. They usually have 2 pool tables but ya know, COVID. Looks very Texan inside but the music was R&B and Rap and a sprinkle of country. Price: Very reasonable for the portions you get! You’ll def have leftovers. So basically I’m paying $8 for dinner tonight and $8 for lunch tomorrow. Not bad!

Great spot, love the vibe and food was delicious.. I got the catfish, waitress was really sweet 🤠 edit: went back again and got the Salmon Alfredo, had Jennifer as our waitress again, she's the best! Always ask for her, she even boxed up my leftovers for me

This place was a favorite haunt of mine twenty five years ago. I’m overjoyed to see that the place is still thriving. I just met the proprietor, Rolando, and the bartender, Steve. Wonderful guys, both!

Pretty good chicky sammich, fries were bussin' but the corn on the cob was mid😔. Everything looked good when it came out though so you do you boo

I've been here many, many times. Sometimes just to grab a drink and sometimes to eat. They serve a variety of food. A mixture of American and seafood.

This place has a dark, log cabin like bar atmosphere. Even though it is hardly crowded, the service is slow. But he good food and good prices make up for it.

The buffalo wings were decent and I'd order them again. The beer was cold. If you're looking for friendly or personable waitstaff, this isn't the place.

No one there yet horrible and inattentive service. Got a table, menu and a beer...waitress never came back. The waitress dealing with the table next to me never bothered to help me or tell my waitress she had abandoned me. After around 20 minutes MY waitress returned, very apologetically. I had to cut my losses and left. They do have a very interesting menu. It's a shame I will never get a chance to taste any of the dishes. I will not be back.

Not a very expensive place, but they lie to their customers. I met an old colleague after 6 years, our server told us that it is but 1 get 1 free for anything on the menu. We purchased 2 wings, 1 fries and few pictures of beer. When the bill came, they comped the fries, instead of 2nd wings; stating that the cheapest item gets comped. I would never go back or recommend anyone again to go here.

I arrived at Wild Turkey mid way through a Sunday afternoon, based on reviews and close proximity to my hotel. I was immediately greeted and served as I sat at the bar. I ordered the Seafood Celebraton, which was great except for the shrimp which were rubbery! The bartender seemed to be more worried about her phone than her customers. Overall decent meal, lackluster service

This is a fun dive bar, hot waitresses were fun. had lime marinated breast with shrimp and it was pretty good. kitchen closes at 1:55am lots of beer selections. margarita was huge but but not good. need to use fresh lime juice and aguave nector and not some crappy mix. other than that the burger was great and delux turkey was awesome.

The ambiance of the place really fits the name of the restaurant. It's like a backwoods hooters. Turkeys on the wall and all.
All of the waitresses wore tight v-neck shirts that really showed off their... ahem... assets. Our server was friendly enough and the food came out pretty quickly.

Everyone in our party seemed happy enough with their food. I had the buffalo wings, which I thought were pretty good though a tad skimpy. My beau had the seafood platter and really enjoyed the cocktail sauce. I snuck a couple of fries and really liked them.

All in all the price fit the food and it was an enjoyable experience.

Great Place. From NY, love stopping by when in Town. Great place and people. Thank YOU for a great time

Great drinks. Nice atmosphere. I consider it to be a dive bar so don't come if you're into the fufi fufi crap. This bar is for regular working class
people. I come everytime I come to Dallas for work.

Some good, some bad. Stopped by Wild Turkey for dinner and drinks this evening.

Drinks are potent, they don't hold back or shortchange you there.

Had the Armadillo Eggs for appetizer (artichoke hearts, bacon, cheese--fried and served w/ Ranch). They were way way too salty. I was hungry, and like fried food as much as the next guy, and I didn't care to finish them.

The shrimp po'boy was okay. The shrimp were pretty good size, yet flat--as though someone had taken a mallet to pound them thin. Flavor was decent--it's relatively hard to mess up a shrimp po'boy (though it can be done).

Waitress was good. She checked in with us regularly, took good care of us. She seemed to take a genuine interest and pride in her job. Good stuff.

This wasn't first visit to Wild Turkey, and won't be the last. Will remember to steer clear of the Armadillo Eggs, extreme over-saltiness is no bueno. Po'boy was okay, had their burger on previous visit and it was good stuff.

Mixed bag this visit, but will be back eventually.

The Arlington Cowboys. Used to go here after the game when Dallas played at Texas Stadium in Irving. Great sports bar with a very cool deck. Both the restaurant and the menu have a little bit of everything, so it can accommodate just about anybody. Mostly bar food, but lots of choices. A little pool, some darts, Buzztime Trivia, lots of big screens, the works. Great service, and easy parking. Love this place. Always a fun time. Guess I'll have to find a place WAY THE HECK over in Arlington if I want to go someplace after the game. Or maybe not. I gotta come back this way anyway, huh?

BEST SANDWICHES IN DALLAS!!. The Ham Deluxe is my fav, but i've never had one of their meals i didn't love! You can sub Red Beans and rice for fries too! Home made deserts every day, great service at a great price!! A fun place to meet friends or just a quick lunch. Been a favorite for years now! ;)
