I was over in Dallas wanting to get lost with all dressed up and nowhere to go I was looking for a hamburger place then all the sudden when I was looking on my phone I stumbled upon twisted trompo and decide to give these guys. The atmosphere is nice it gets off like a fast food chain kind of vibe with a bit of Mexican Flair. I ordered the Americana burger with chips and salsa the Mexican chips and a salsa are good and the burger honestly could be a bit better but I'm not complaining it worse. It's good to eat. Around I would definitely come here again.
No frills, fast food-like Tacos and Margaritas in Downtown Dallas. Price is very reasonable but the quality is not scrimped. Also one of the more affordable margaritas I had in town although I would prefer the alcohol to be a bit more generous.
Stopped by for lunch during a break we had at the nearby conference center. Both of us ended up getting the traditional quesadillas. It was delicious, fresh, and filling especially for the cost.
We were weary of going even this far from the convention center with the restricted time and that only increased when we saw the line out the door. Service was super quick though and we found out after that this was all with the tortillas and so much more gets made fresh there.
Theme in the restaurant was nothing short of fun. Definitely found a gem!
The best tacos I have had in a long time. The salsa is on point: Spicy but delicious (Green). I did not try the red sauce since I asked the waiter which one was the hottest, and I was informed that the red one makes you a living flame. Twisted Trompo has all kinds of meat. I tried carnitas, barbacoa, pastor and asada. All were amazing but my favorite is asada. I would highly recommend this place for two reasons: It is an affordable option in Downtown Dallas and their food is delicious.
Cute spot to get a quick bite in downtown. Went for early lunch which was smart. By the time we were getting our food, the line had built up out of the door. Food was hot and fresh. Quesadillas were amazing, I got the pollo de trompo. Really good! The tacos were great per friends…all except the Quesabirria tacos my one friend got, seemed like they skimped out on the meat for these tacos and for 14.99, felt like they could have been more substantial but she said flavor was great. The churros were warm and yummy. The aguas were on point especially the horchata which I am picky about. The vibe was on and I feel it would be great later in the day as they have a bar and play great music. Should have took more pics but the food kept me occupied. Will be back though.
I never went to the same restaurant multiple times in 2 weeks! I m an international traveler, have been to 12 countries, and have been to 10 states in the USA. I love this tacos place and so much variety! All of them are so delicious! Recommend Al Pastor and their traditional tacos; carnitas barbacoa. I love their spicy salsa, caramelized onions, and jalapeno. They serve professional service and amazing delightful foods.
First time visiting Dallas and Texas as a whole. We were craving tacos and this place did not disappoint! All the meats were so flavorful and filling, loved how authentic the frijoles were, reminds me how my mom makes them. The vibe inside is cool they have music playing that you just want to dance to my kids loved it and all the employees were so helpful and kind definitely recommend when in downtown Dallas
Awesome food and really cool atmosphere. Tried the street tacos and they were great! Also had the loaded queso. It was good. The burrito boat was fantastic. Really tasty and authentic place. Would love to come back on my next visit to Dallas.
Stumbled across this spot from a google suggestion. Best recommendation of our trip to Dallas… It was late, but packed with families. Food was on point. Great portions and flavors. Also… churros: hot & crunchy with that super soft, gooey center!
