Almost didn't go, but I really wanted some Italian food - I'm glad I disregarded the negative reviews!! Although the place probably could use a bit of a facelift, the staff and owner (who met us at the door as we were leaving to be sure we enjoyed our dinner!!) were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent - I had the Chicken Marsala & my wife had the Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken added. The meals were delivered quickly and were delicious!! This was our first time there, but won't be the last - We will be returning and inviting a few of our friends to come with us.

I have eaten at Pietro's for more years than I want to count and was just over there recently. The food was ever bit as good as it has always been and everyone who works there is wonderfully polite and attentive. I had the Manicotti with Crab and it was to die for. I worked for him at one time in the office and I might be a little prejudice, but if it wasn't a 35 mile drive from my home I would be there once a week. Great place to take out of town visitors that want authentic Italian food.

Authentic Italian food, enough said! The meatball pizza is my favorite! The spaghetti and meatball is a close second. My husband is addicted to the Italian sausage and spaghetti. I have also had the Italian wedding soup. Also crab finger appetizer a lil pricey but well worth it! Soak your sauce up with the bread. Have been here multiple times. They are never to busy and it is family owned and operated. Pietro himself is there 99.9% of the time!

I am a native Italian, and as native Italian let me just say that Pietro's is the best, most authentic Italian restaurant in Dallas. Since I came to the US I've been living in a few different states, and always had a hard time finding Italian restaurants with a nice atmosphere that would make me feel at home and authentic food at a great price. I can seriously count on my fingers the true Italian restaurants I've found so far, the ones that are run by first-generation-Italians and haven't given up their authentic savors and tradition, restaurants where you can go either for a lovely date or just for a casual dinner. At Pietro's the Minestrone is AMAZING, it tastes exactly like my Grandma's minestrone which no one in my family was ever able to replicate! And the memories that it recalls at every sip are just priceless! It is fresh, flavorful and warms up your heart! The home-made bread is great as well, and so is the Caesar salad. It's Pietro himself that makes the Caesar salad at his little station in the main room, and just for that you just have to order it! Chicken Lemon is so delicate in flavor that it almost feels like it's melting in your mouth. Panzerotti di Spinaci with Marinara is also another good dish, one of my favorites together with Egglant Parmigiana. Any pasta dish is good, my #1 would be Spaghetti with Garlic and Olive Oil: so simple and classic. For dessert the Ricotta cheesecake and the Tiramisu are a must: both to die for, extremely authentic and flavorful! Also Cannoli alla Siciliana is just something you cannot miss out on if it's your first visit to this restaurant! At Pietro's the owners are often around and ask people if they are happy with their food, and a lot of people are returning customers so it does feel indeed like it's a big family. Everyone is friendly, really nice and attentive to their guests. I've been at Pietro's so many times and it's always such a pleasure to go back. I would highly recommend Pietro's if you are looking for authentic Italian food, if you want to enjoy a night out with a date, a friend or with the family, or even if you are new in town and want to feel welcomed in a restaurant where you might easily meet people! Italians love Pietro's! The Best Italian home cooking Restaurant in Dallas!

My family and I have been going here for years. The best food. We love love love Pietros!!! I either get the lasagna with meat sauce and mushrooms or the manicotti with meat sauce. The pollo ala madera is delicious. I'm not sure how some of these reviews are not 5 stars. The inside is dated but the food is superb. If I didn't live in Plano we would go more often.

I have been going to this restaurant for twenty years and it is hands down my favorite restaurant! The spaghetti and meatballs are to die for as well as the cappuccino pie. Pietros is such a great quiet restaurant and I love it. They do have take out buckets of meatballs and sauce which I love to bring back with me to college! I would recommend Pietros 100%, a must dine in Dallas!

Pietro's food is spectacular! I worked for Pietro many years ago and I know first hand how he keeps his kitchen, the care he takes with the food, and that family is in the kitchen (Santo , Enzo, and Grace) insuring every menu item is as you would expect....exquisitely prepared with the taste of Italy right here in the heart of Dallas. Need I say, they are Italian. My favorites are pizza or the stuffed mushrooms to start with, Chicken Marsala, spaghetti with garlic and oil, and Fettuccine Alfredo. My husband's favorites are Veal Marsala, spaghetti with meatballs, Lasagna and garlic toast. Their homemade Italian bread is awesome. Sometimes if they have plenty on hand, he will sell you a loaf (don't tell him I told you). With each entree there is a choice of minestrone soup or salad, both are delicious, but the minestrone soup is better than any I've ever had, including my own!! Go. Enjoy.

Consistently good, straight forward Italian food with hearty portions in an old rambling homey setting.

This is the closest thing to real Italian in Dallas. it's not upscale, swanky, or overdone but the owner is a hardworking Italian. you go here for the home cooked food. I grew up in an Italian Household and been living in Dallas for 7 years, nothing has been close to Pietros.
