A great evening out! Sarah was a perfect server and every bite we had was amazing! The Alaskan King Crab legs were so good, and the Artic Char and Pumpkin Swordfish were to die for. We up in the suburbs, but will make a point of making the trek back down here just for Rex’s!

Great restaurant. A rare place to get excellent seafood in these land-locked parts. We enjoyed the steamer (clams, mussels, crab legs and sausage, which tasted of the sea), blackened red fish, crab pasta, and fish and chips. All were excellently prepared and presented with the fresh seafood taking center stage. Can’t wait to come back!

Great neighborhood spot for fresh seafood. This shopping center location offers an ever-changing selection of specials, and the offerings are consistently good. Service is always friendly, and the restaurant is very inviting despite the nondescript digs. Nothing mind-blowing here, but it’s a great option for a casual weekday dinner if you are in the area.

I had a lovely date night here. We decided to sit at the bar for convenience. My date ordered us a wonderful bottle of French Rose’ wine. It was half priced because they offer the half price bottles on Tuesday. He then ordered a plate of chefs choice oysters. I love that they were marked by the region they came from. Of course there was fresh shallot, horseradish and I love a little spice so I asked for cholula sauce. It was divine. Next we had a shrimp plate. It was peel and eat. I really don’t mind getting my fingers dirty. They were headless Texas gulf sized shrimp and yes they were magically de-veined, but still in the shell. The seasoning was perfect. It had a garlic based seasoning that was impeccable. After the shrimp, he ordered for us the scallops. Smooth and buttery. Definitely a treat for the tastebuds. They were without a doubt the best scallops I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Served with a slice of lemon, these were seared perfectly. I checked underneath because I am looney like that. I thought so highly of the scallops that it is the only picture I am posting. Truly the highlight of our dinner. We topped off the evening with a crème brûlée. I love creme brûlée when it is done right. Oh this one was so silky and the texture was perfect! It was a very sexy dessert. Know before you go: This restaurant is going to require a reservation. Call ahead at least a few days in advance to ensure you can get in. You can ask the chef for a dining experience when you call. He will absolutely take care of you and give you an amazing dining experience with some things that are not on the menu. If you go chef’s choice then it will not be inexpensive, but it will be incredible. Perfect for date night. Thank you if you have gotten this far reading my review.

This was our first time experiencing what we considered to be top service (waiter was John H.) and top quality fresh seafood. The variety of oysters at Rex's separates them from any other seafood restaurant in Dallas. We are originally from Houston, and seafood is very popular in the area we lived in (Kemah). We ended up bringing caviar home and a couple of to go items. If you are looking for a really good place to relax and just eat some really good food.... go to Rex's Seafood and Market. You will not be disappointed.

Love this place. It was not crowded, service was excellent. Appetizer was amazing. I had the coconut shrimp and calamari. Calamari in a lot of places is always rubbery. It was perfect here. Two sauces came with it. Coconut shrimp was flavorful. For lunch meeting we had the blackened Salmon and the Blackened redfish. Sides were also good. Also had the Jalapeno crab soup which was delightful. Overall , quite happy and content after the meal. Potion sizes are quite nominal, so don't expect to walk out extremely full and choking. It's just the right amount of food to make you feel good.

Great quality of oysters! Fish tacos have a lot of fish and tasty. Pasta Vongole is a little salty and creamy. Their service is the best!

Delicious all the way around. I’ve had a lot of recommendations to come here specifically for the fish. Was told best fish in town. Smaller restaurant with lots of seating. We had lunch! They also have a happy hour and dinner menu. Was worth the trip. I am not a fan of Brussel sprouts and theses were tasty for my pickiness! The hush puppies were great and came with a spicy jelly sauce!
