Mother in law suggested this place when we came to visit her. Portions were huge!!!! And I mean huge! We had at least two meals that we couldn’t finish so we took home. The fresh made churros with cajeta, to die for lol. The waiter was amazing, attentive, informative and respectful. This place is well hidden unless you stumble upon it, you’ll find. They are I believe next door to a biker bar(or some type of bar). While it may have not been too busy, it was a great little quaint place to visit, sit and have a small dinner. Also, for drinks, horchata mangorita and piña colada with a shot of patron. All drinks were tasty and good! Do recommend this establishment if you want a quaint and quiet place to enjoy dinner with a margarita.

Typical Tex Mex foods, we had the mic combo fajitas, they were good. Our guests had, enchiladas and beef quesadillas.
Both said the food was good. Service was ok, the restrooms were very clean. As was the dining areas.
We will be going back.

Very good customer service and food is served pretty quickly. We were served chips and salsa as soon as we sat down. We had the lunch special Beef Fajita which is sizzling and smells amazing, it comes with refried beans and tortillas - side of pico, guacamole and sour creme. It's fair. Gave them 4 stars for the customer service. I may return.

Consistently good standard Tex Mex for very reasonable prices. Wait staff is great. The lunch beef fajitas that I ordered today were tender and tasty. I ordered a side of rice since it only comes with refried beans for a side. Hot sauce was nothing special today- it was usually better in the past. Enchiladas are always really good. I've been going here infrequently for decades when I am in the area. They recently updated the interior, including the restrooms- much better than before. It is not an upscale restaurant, though.

We've been coming here for years. I like the Guiso and red Poblano sauce chuletas. This is unique. You can sometimes catch amateur live music, but I avoid it, myself.

Great tortilla soup and shrimp cocktail (it's not on the menu) I love the sopapillas with honey and flan. Great cocktail drinks, the staff is on point as soon as we sit down. Try the Beef fajita chimichanga it's great 👍👌

This is just my totally awesome all time favorite mexican restaurant to go to! My family and I have been going here for years! The food, drinks, hot sauce, chips, atmosphere, prices, you name it, it is all just super awesome! And, the owners and staff are awesome too! I have always had nothing but a great experience at Mexicali's and I am most positive you will to!

This place serves great Tex Mex food period. They bring you warm chips the salsa pretty good as well. I typically order the Mexicali Dinner which comes with 2 beef enchiladas 1 tamale 1 hard taco beans and rice very enjoyable. The fajitas here both beef and chicken are amazing and very soft to eat which is nice. The staff is friendly and very welcoming so you should give this place a try. Overall I really enjoy eating here and can't wait for my next visit.

Been going here for over 20 years. I know it doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let that fool you. Even with the raised prices still a good deal for what you get. I highly recommend the lunch menu. Very reasonable prices and very good food, especially the lunch fajitas.

The food is okay, everything tasted well but I should have chosen something else. I ordered from the lunch menu and it just wasn't enough for me, but based on the price I should have ordered from the regular menu. I do like that they serve aqua frescas.
I've been here several times and will continue to come back.
