Review Peasant Pizzeria - Dallas

Finally this space makes it! After 2-3 attempts someone figured out how to offer high quality food, good service, & ambiance . I have seen a few reviewers complain about the prices. There is nothing disjointed with the prices when the food is exceptional and fresh. You will pay more in Oaklawn and Uptown for less delicious food. Lemon butter pancakes!

Fabulous!! Just had five pizza's delivered to the office for Friday lunch and I can honestly say...probably some of the best pizza we've ever eaten. Hands down...no question.

There are not a whole lot of options for good food in my neighborhood. I went here with low expectations, based on the dining experiences I had had in the area. To my surprise, the food here was phenomenal. I have been back on several occasions and the pizza is phenomenal. The first few times I tried their food I did carry out, but the last time I chose to dine in. The ambiance of the restaurant is on the same level as the food. It is nice to finally have a place worth eating at in the neighborhood.

First time trying this place last night, the experience was great from start to finish. We were quickly welcomed and seated and our waiter was awesome. Even on a Friday night around 7 they weren’t too busy yet. Our waiter even went as far as to bring us napkins every time we were out and we didn’t have to ask which was a nice touch. Had the calamari and carnivoro Pizza and both were delicious! Will definitely be visiting again!

I recommend a reservation for parties over 4 and busy times.. My party of 7 had a reservation for 7pm on a Friday and were seated promptly where tables had been placed together for us. The place was full except for the patio which was not open due to the fridgid temps. Everything was great. Full bar is available and a good wine selection Food is excellent with a good sized menu featuring pasta dishes and flat bread pizzas. If you order a pizza as an entree, consider sharing as they are large - 14 to 16 inches.

My partner and I came in after a long day of work (both pretty pissie) and unsure of what to eat. Since we live right down the street, we opt to try the new restaurant on the block. The experience was exceptional and welcoming, from hostess to the Director of operations. Our waitress Nathalie (very knowledgeable with the menu), the pizza chefs and the lead chef were very attentive and kind. Definitely will not be our last time and at the top of our go to list; recommend it 100%.

Service is excellent. The manager and staff are very pleasant and interactive. The food was very tasty. I've gone back three times now and tried a variety of their dishes and have yet to be disappointed. I would recommend this place as a great place to get together with some friends, share some great food and drinks. The prices are fair for the quality and quantity of food you get. One can feed a group of 3 with leftovers for under $50, easily.

my favorite pizza place in Dallas. The staff is AMAZING. I come every Sunday to get a pizza because they're also so sweet and the pizza is the BEST. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE. You will fall in loveeeee with the service and quality of food.

Ate here with my boyfriend on a Friday night and the service and food were both great. We split garlic bread, a chopped salad (which was a very generous portion...could probably feed 3 people) and the East Coast pizza. Not to mention...the playlist that was on was FIRE — we were dancing in our seats the whole time! Peasant Pizza is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood and we will definitely be going back!

First time here and we came for brunch on sunday. Great experience. The service was fast, efficient, and friendly. Frank the bar tender was very helpful and the drinks were strong! The food was delicious and great portions. Highly recommend!

Honestly, the BEST pizza I have ever had. Fresh and natural ingredients on top of exceptional service make this place a must try location; whether you're a Dallas native or just passing by, this will be your favorite too!

A Dallas gem! Upscale yet cozy restaurant with unbelievable pizza, pasta, salads, wine, and company. The pizza crust is out of this world, and so are the fresh ingredients. Perfect place for a nice date, family occasion, or simply a drink at the bar.

Quality spot on Cedar Springs. Fantastic pizza and a great crew of people who give 110%. Lunch is equally as impressive, offering a wide variety of menu. Great bar too!

The service and food were exceptional. Amazing pizza and mimosa carafe for a really reasonable price. James provided great service and anticipated our needs. I will be back very soon.

Friday 13 April 9:00 pm Here is the scoop: food is really really good. Seriously. Tonight was our second time there. Food is consistently good and fresh. Service was **beyond** abysmal. We sat in the inside patio by the front door. There were 5 tables being served by the server who not only could not get anything right, but also: 1. argued with several tables, 2. misplaced peoples’ credit cards, 3. would not apologize for anything, and 4. even had the nerve when the table next to us had their mains and appetizers all brought out at once to say ‘ well, you’re lucky you even got the food at all’. Our server never brought us more drinks when ours ran out, either. Unbelievable. If the owners can’t hire waitstaff who are at least caring (things go wrong sometimes, and servers should be empathetic and apologetic) this place won’t make it, even if the food is indeed yummy. To further our experience tonight - Our server never put in my dinner order. My other half had to go to the kitchen to order it after we realized the order was never put in for my main dish . Then, literally when my pizza was done, my other half had to go get my dinner from the kitchen and bring it to our table. To the management team: fix your server issue - fast. Or - folks like us and the tables all around us tonight will never be back. Dining out is all about the holistic experience - food/drink, service, and atmosphere. If any one of those elements is as horrible as the service was tonight, this restaurant won’t make it - as customers expect more, as they indeed should. At least, in my opinion. This was the experience that at least 5 tables experienced tonight from about 7:45 pm ish for an hour and a half or so.

We had a dreamy brunch here today, discovered through a coworker of Jamie's. Our two dishes were both delightful: Peasant Pizza: A surprisingly large pie, perched on a perfectly yeasty and charred chewy crust, topped with mozzarella, fennel sausage, red onions, garlic, and two perfectly fried eggs. Every bite was thoroughly enjoyable, and the pie shares a place in my top tier of Dallas pies with the prosciutto pie at Pie Tap. Scrambled Eggs: a simple dish, perfectly seasoned and prepared with soft scrambled eggs (like you get everywhere in France, and hardly anywhere else), grilled toothsome toast, beautiful mixed and roasted rosemary (just a whisper) potatoes, mm another dish that provides about 100 heavenly bites. The service was attentive, casual, and homey (our waiter held the door for us when we left), with someone filling my oft drained water glass at just the right time, every time. The space was amazing, like a modern bistro-trattoria with lots of brick, wood, concrete, a beautiful wood burning stove, and huge steel windows (open to let in the fresh air) and bar. This place is the latest creation of Robert Colombo, of Sfuzzi, Villa O, and Trece fame, and he has executed it flawlessly, including very approachable price points and plenty of lot parking on the back. We will assuredly be back soon.

I want to give a shout out to a really wonderful restaurant on Cedar Springs. I had lunch today at Peasant Pizzeria and want to give my review. The staff were all very friendly & accommodating. Carrie was my waitress and waited on me almost instantly getting my drink order. I started with a salad which had pepperoni and House Italian dressing. It was light and quite delicious, especially after asking for Parmesan cheese which added to the flavor. I was torn between a pizza or lasagna and asked Carrie who suggested the lasagna. When it came to the table it looked great, but after one bite, AWESOME. I have eaten many Italian dinners even home made ones but this is one of the best I have ever tasted. I can’t recommend this place any better than saying, I will be back soon, well served.

We had the meatballs for an app. The meatball is really good friends with the velvety sauce. You get bread to mop up the sauce. My friend ordered the bone in chicken thighs. It is so hard to find this on a menu in Dallas. OMG! That dish was a flavor bomb. I ordered a chicken Milanese served with mixed greens dressed in a lovely dressing and sides by a buttery and cheesy polenta. I could live off of that polenta. I will be back again and again.

Awesome place in our hood! So glad we tried it and will definitely be back! Our service was excellent and our server was so attentive! Lots of options and everything was so good! We had the Caesar to start which Was a huge serving and so glad two of us shared it! We also had some really fresh seafood and pasta! One suggestion- get a small window unit for the front covered patio. It’s such a lovely seating area surrounded by windows that open. I’m sure it’s awesome oursidevif Dallas summers. The dining room was packed so we had to sit out there and it was pretty warm! But I still give this place 5 stars and will be back again!!

This is a hidden gem on Cedar Springs near Oaklawn. Friendly, attentive service and excellent food has led to many repeat visits from us. The olives appetizer is great...have only tried the Margherita pizza but the others look really good as well. This place deserves everyone to try them out!

Our family came on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and we've unanimously agreed that we've found our favorite pizza. We started with the amazing garlic bread and had the Carnivoro as well as the Prosciutto pizzas. The ingredients are absolutely amazing and the crust was flavorful and crispy. The service was just as good as the food. Steven D. and team really took care of us and were diligent in making sure we were happy. We can't wait to go back for dinner and try the rest of the menu. This place will definitely be around for the long haul.

Really cool spot. They have paid great attention to the build out, it is a perfect blend of rustic, comfortable and romantic if need be but certainly not stuffy. Gorgeous original brick walls and the restaurant is anchored by a beautiful wood burning pizza oven. The bar is intimate and cozy. The Bartender gives great service and has a natural passion for his food. Everything down to the type of tomato in the red sauce was enthusiastically explained and turned a good restaurant into a great experience. This is truly a gem, I’m glad I found it and certainly plan to return!

I had lunch with my two boys. The ambience is great. We were told to come back at night because it’s completely different then. I can see where it would be and want to come back with my husband for an evening meal. The service was top shelf. The owner came over and went over the entire menu with us and then shared his favorites. I had the Peasant Chicken Thighs, with the garlic bread. (YOU MUST ORDER THE GARLIC TOAST!!). My oldest son ordered the meatballs with garlic bread, and my youngest got a pasta with meat balls...we all shared and everything was amazing. We were treated like royalty, and our glasses were always full...then the food came!! Oh my!!! Beautiful presentation and the food was stellar!! After we ate, the chef came out and introduced himself and wanted to assure us that he could make anything the way we wanted it. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place, we give it 5 stars and I am a very picky foodie.

Great new spot for lunch, dinner and brunch doesn’t disappoint either!!

Yummy! They have lots besides pizza. My husband had their signature chicken dish and it was delicious. We also had a meat and cheese board with a spiced mustard to die for. And we got to watch KU stomp KState! So all good!

Absolutely love this place! The inside is beautiful and the food is even better! Best meatballs I’ve ever had!!

From the moment you walk in, to the time you leave, you feel like you’re in Italy having dinner. The staff was outstanding. We met David the owner and he was very welcoming. We had the calamari which was out of this world. The pizza is nothing short of amazing!! Will be back very soon to try the lasagna!
