The award-winning carrot cupcake was excellent with a good balance of the sweet flavor and nuts. Bonus points on the shredded carrots inside. Best cupcake ever had and I'll come back to try different creations. Grade: A+

I love bird bakery! Most times i've come they have been super super busy (lunch time and weekends). The staff is always very pleasant and knowledgeable about their menu. They have a lot of seating however I think a lot of people come and stay for multiple hours which is hard for come and go customers. Wish they had another long high table seating to add more space.
For sandwiches during busy times expect a 30 minute wait.
Their vegetarian california and spinach artichoke grilled cheese are both awesome! So good and flavorful.
I think their cupcakes are pretty sweet but they have some flavors that are more subtle.
I had the California Turkey wrap and it tasted wonderful. The bread was real seeded bread, the meat was clean, and the cranberry sauce oh so delicious and unique. And the cupcakes? Taste like your grandma made them. Not overly sweet with a homey feel to them. Clean bathrooms, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating toward the corner of Highland Village where it doesn't get too noisy. Perfect for an afternoon of reading and studying. Excellent service, Jojo went above and beyond to ensure that I and all the customers had a wonderful afternoon. Highly recommend!

Today begins an adventure in boutique bakery eating. As I pulled into the parking lot a wave of intimidation swept over me. The Up-market stores and salons made my wallet start to quiver until, like a breeze from a meadow, a store front came into focus. Stepping inside BIRD Bakery and immediately being greeted by no less than three gracious combinations of "Hello" and "Welcome" calmed my anxiousness. Clear, legible, and artistic signage took away any confusion. Ordering the Tuna Melt and Egg Salad sandwiches to go could not have been easier. I was a little saddened that I missed the quiche (going back early tomorrow for that taste treat). The "WC" is a nice whimsical touch that brought a smile. The cost of the two sandwiches and the bags of chips took me by surprise admittedly. I fully expected to pay a higher price and was pleasantly surprised. I was even more pleased after experiencing the flavor and quality of these sandwiches. Excited about tasting even more of the menu.
Super cute bakery in Highland Park Village! Lots of tables to sit at to eat your cupcake or any dessert/food you order. We got the Southern Red Velvet and the Bird Blue Vanilla. The cake was moist and the frosting wasn't too sweet. A perfect place to stop after dinner or shopping in the area.

SO GOOD!!! Yummmmm. The monster cookie is criminal. Cute bakery and so so yummy. Their savory lunch foods are also very good but they do go heavy in the Mayo.
Going to upgrade my review on this place! I first came about 2 years ago and felt that when Sadelle's came in next door that it would be game over for this place. But I must say, they've really stepped it up since then and I'm happy to be a frequent customer. Their baked goods are absolutely incredible and they do also have an extensive food menu. The breakfast sandwich is a great size and the ingredients are all very fresh. Coffee sizes are huge as well. For the price, the quality and quantity, it's a great value especially considering the location. Plenty of seating, power, outdoor seating as well. Service has gotten much better and everyone lately has been super friendly and knowledgeable. Especially for price, this place is miles better than Sadelle's who charges nearly $20 for a salmon bagel...
Bird Bakery's mini (assorted) cupcakes were a big hit at our party! The color combination of delicious flavors made for a festive dessert feast. Thank you Bird Bakery!!
