This is authentic.!!
Sooo this is the first Vietnamese restaurant of Dallas run by a lady and her mother. The story of this person is very heart touching and how still she is running the restaurant.
As the story is the good will also tasty. The have good variety of veg option and good variety of non-veg options. Must try food if u love Vietnamese cuisine. The peanut souse with spring rolls I loved it. 👍🏼👍🏼
This place is like a lot of other Vietnamese or Thai restaurants in this area... small, clean, friendly service, and great food. Some of the customers were speaking what i suppose was Vietnamese, so that leads me to believe the food is authentic. Not crowded at all today, Saturday at ~4:00-5:00 PM. I had my staple: pork fried rice + ginger, iced (Lipton) tea. The portion was huge and delicious. I was served too quickly to think my food was cooked to order, but that didn't diminish the taste nor the look of the entree. Service was fast, accurate, friendly, and efficient. The waiter (owner?) didn't bat an eyelash when, after my entree arrived, i asked for fresh shredded ginger. He brought it right out. And, i didn't see any extra charge. They had no problems at all with me being in a wheelchair. Prices were in line with other comparable places. I got out for $16+.
I am so sorry, and somewhat embarrassed, for posting a picture of my empty plate. I keep forgetting to do it right. I put the fork there for size. It would help if you pictured that large plate heaped from edge to edge with a mixture of rice, veggies, and loads of pork.
One downer: Service was kinda slow... waitress not attentive.
It was our first time here and we liked it a lot. Great taste, good attention, not cheap but worth it! Soups are big and filling and my noodles with coconut curry stirfried tofu we're full of favor and filling too.
It's a long time East Dallas Vietnamese restaurant. The food is always great. I've been coming here for over 15 years. I really like the updates they've done to the restaurant. In the winter time I get to go orders about once a week. If your new to East Dallas we have to check out Mais

Great food at a reasonable price. And it's bring your own booze too 🔥
Such a good place! Parking can be a beast, but it's worth finding! Everything is super fresh and delicious. My favorite is the "Vietnamese Pancake" stuffed with shrimp, chicken and bean sprouts. It looks like a crunchy omelet, but wrapped in the freshest lettuce leaves, it's crunchy goodness!
Great Thai Tea and Coffee. Good food and good service. Been here several times.
The food was great. I would definitely go back again. The service was a little unsatisfying, but due to authenticity, I obviously let it go. The chicken and beef pho were excellent. I went out on a limb and tried their soy milk beverage. I’m not a fan of milk, but THAT was really good and would recommend. Overall, the experience was great and I would go again!
My absolute, hands down, favorite meal of my life!!!! The Chicken Curry Clay Pot (44A) is beyond delicious!!! Every bite is wonderful and just when you don't believe it can get any better, you discover the crunchy rice that has cooked to the side of the clay pot. I do not have words to describe it.
Great staff, always good food.
There were 4 of us dining.
We love Mais, my family has been coming here for well over twenty years. Their spicy chicken soup is a go to when I'm sick. All the food is delicious, prices are great, service is excellent. The owner is almost always there making sure that everything is perfect. Highly recommended.
