Review Dalat - Dallas

Really good food and chill atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping by. The Ramenlicious was really good. Also vegetarian friendly. The desserts were excellent. Cassandra, our waitress, was very friendly and answered our questions with good suggestions. We will return next time we are in the area.

Seriously delicious. Deconstructed pho…. that broth! Yum. Get it dirrrrty and with “Rachel” sauce (a creamy coconut curry). Oh, and that Cheese DoritoViche. Creative and bizarre and totally good. And with a 5$ PBR and shot of Jameson?! Why is this place not more packed?? Quick, friendly service. Love it. Stop reading this and go eat there.

We ate here late at night. The food was delicious and the service was good for it being so late. My husband got the chicken pho and enjoyed it. Only drawback is that we usually get a little plate of veggies to put in the pho but that was not provided. There were bean sprouts in it already though. I got the ramen stir fry which had a lot of vegetables in it, but had an issue with quality. However, our waitress apologized and handled the issue appropriately and professionally. Overall, I would eat here again.

Food is absolutely wonderful. Service is superb. Was in town just for a quick weekend trip and stopped our first night after the long drive in, and I had to come back the next evening just to get more spring rolls. They have a full bar, full menu, and a fresh toppings bar as well. The food here was always fresh and came out promptly. The shrimp spring is my favorite. The veggie to noodle ratio is phenomenal. The sweetness of the pickled carrots puts this roll over the top. On Fri/Sat/Sun they also have Bar-e-Oke (karaoke). The atmosphere is so inviting.

Best chicken pho in Dallas hands down. I ordered the chicken pho, dirty, with two ghost pepper drops added. 10/10!! The portions were huge which is a plus! I also had the potstickers, those were really good as well.

It was a very amazing experience! We came during their downtime, but their service was still warm and friendly. The food was delicious- couldnt have asked for more!

Cute little place with excellent food and service. Madi was super cool with good drinks, highly recommend sitting at the bar. We got chicken bahn mi and shrimp fried rice. Fried rice was flavorful and filling, my partner got bahn mi and it was delightful! Not my usual order at these joints but that was fantastic! Fresh toppings available at the fresh bar too, like jalapeños and pickled onion. Was our first time here for our anniversary and we’ll be back!

It was delicious! I’m not an expert on Vietnamese foods, but he was quite pleasant to eat. We ordered dalat rolls, spicy pork shooters, potsticker, fried rice and mamenlicious!! Thanks John for your service! I Forgot to take pictures of the first three

Went for the first time and showed up around 10pm on a Wednesday. Wait staff was super helpful, nice, and attentive. The food was very satisfying and filling. I had the beef pho(with the dirty option) and my girl had the vegetarian pho(dirty option as well) plus we each had an egg roll which came with two trays of sauces that were perfect for using not only with the egg rolls but the soup too.

Ordered the Pho Moc 10/10. I haven’t had Vietnamese food since I’ve left home. Various of options to pick from, definitely will be ordering again. I ordered online for take out, process super easy to order.

I did not enjoy our first visit here. We ordered potstickers which were okay at best, as an appetizer. They looked good but were too gummy. The following Pho and Pad Thai were less than mediocre. The noodles and tofu were so overcooked they were mush. The added chicken was tasteless. Salt would've been an improvement to at least make the meal palatable but alas, there were no salt shakers on the tables. We asked for our food to be prepared extra spicy. We were told if we dared, we would be brought a drop five million Scoville Unit pepper oil which we agreed to. We were excited with the presentation when a bowl of broth was served with the order and our server added a single drop of oil, emphasizing how dangerously hot it was. We were warned to not taste the broth from the bowl but to add the broth to our food. Ultimately, we both added raw jalapeños and chili sauce from the Fresh Bar as well as used the Sriracha on the table without ever breaking a sweat. Ah, the Fresh Bar. Everything on the fresh bar was indeed fresh with the exception of the limes which had been cut early in the morning if not the day before. The knife cut edges were oxidized. To top everything off, while trudging through this meal, I bit into an eggshell shard which filled my mouthful of chewed food with what felt like tiny gravel. After spitting it out onto a napkin, I was done. For a forty dollar meal for two people, including a seven dollar tip, our first visit was not one we would like to repeat any time soon. If and when we do, I think I'll have a burger.

UPDATE 1/22/18: I don’t know what you guys did the week of thanksgiving but the changes have been terrible. I used to come once a week. Now I can’t even tell you the last time I sat foot in the restaurant to sit down and eat. I quit coming a month or so after the “changes”. -the new menu is too tiny. I am well aware your older items are apart of a “secret” menu, however your new patrons don’t know that. With that being said, the new menu is way too small and has barely anything to offer. I can only eat pho and ramenlicious so many times before I am bored. -your restaurant is overstaffed. Yes, before you didn’t have enough people working. I get that. However, now you have a bunch of employees standing around with nothing to do because your “manager” schedules 5 people to be servers for the 10-12 tables in your restaurant. This is inefficient. It’s a shame you hired all these new faces because I miss seeing all the old servers and bartenders I knew as a regular. The new people are weird and some of them are rude. -Some of the recipes have been tweaked, but it makes the food taste weird. I don’t know what sauce is now in the dalat rolls but it tastes like Italian dressing and it’s gross. The fried onions on top of the eggs Benedict was also an unneeded addition. -The managers you have hired (Ashley and some guy who wears a sweater vest) are terrible. They’re rude, snobby, and don’t do your restaurant any favors. Ashley also couldn’t get my husbands take out order correct last week (Wednesday 1/17 in the evening), and was rude and unaccommodating about it. My husband ordered deconstructed pho, eggs Benedict, dalat rolls and a rice bowl for his niece. Ashley brings out only the deconstructed pho and my husband informs her that there was more food in the order. She then made him wait an additional 45 minutes for the food she forgot. This was inconvenient as at this point the deconstructed pho is now ice cold. I don’t believe she apologized for her mistake. I’ve never had this happen before, Derek always waited on us and never screwed up our orders, so the change of bartenders was not needed. -while the new dish ware and restaurant decor is nice, the cool thing about old dalat with its mismatched plates was it gave you a real “mom and pop restaurant” feel. Pair the new decor with the bad service and you get 90% of the franchise restaurants no one likes. Needless to say, me and my husband will no longer be regulars here. Dalat isn’t what it used to be, and that’s so sad. Original review: -best place to go eat at drunk -best place to go eat at hungover -best place to eat at sober DaLat is amazing and all of their food is tasty. My fav thing is probably the dalat rolls with the peanut sauce. I'm sad I only get two. I used to live in Plano and would come out here specifically to eat at dalat. I just moved over to Dallas and I'm one street over from dalat which is dangerous. I'm here every weekend now.

The food is great but I'm sorry to say that this restaurant has lost my business. I have been a loyal customer for about 2 years now and time and time again I have been met with subpar service and occasionally straight up rudeness. This place is almost always understaffed, with just 1 bartender and 1 server. For about the last year I've chosen to order take out rather than subject myself to the bad service and even then I still seem to run into issues. Oftentimes they either disconnect their phone line intentionally or simple refuse to answer the phone and I can't get through to place a to go order. Then, when I step up to the bar to pay for my food I'll be ignored by multiple staff members (cooks, owners, etc. grabbing themselves drinks or putting something into the computer) when I'm clearly trying to grab someone's attention to pay and get on my way. Last weekend I arrived 5 minutes before close (I understand how that can be annoying but the place fully promotes being open late night) and was met with incredible rudeness from Hillary (regular bartender) who literally slammed the door in my face. The entire bar was filled with people eating and drinking at this time and it was obvious that they had chosen to lock up early. I felt like the situation could have been handled with a lot more tact, especially being that Hillary absolutely recognizes me as a regular customer. I wish Dalat would take a note from Zalat's customer service playbook, they have always gone out of their way to be prompt, helpful, and courteous. I'm not at all looking to be spoon fed here and as someone who has worked in a lot of restaurants I feel l'm generally not a diner that is hard to please. At this point I feel that Dalat either has some sort of personal vendetta against me or simply takes pride in providing shit service.

OMG-delicious. I had beef pho and my husband had the rice plate w/chicken. Plus, we had the spring rolls. Megan, our waitress rocked and we loved the “fresh bar”-all the fresh things you need, plus spices.

Very cool place with some very creative dishes. The service was fantastic.. best ive experienced at any Pho restaurant. Also was the first time I've had pho and not been subjected to Vietnamese or Chinese love songs as the background music.. they had some cool electronic beats.. food was priced pretty well but the alcoholic drinks were pricey. My gal and I split a bowl of Pho and the cook split it for us and I'm fairly sure they hooked us up.. which was cool. Give this place a try, I don't think you'll regret it..

First time diner (for lunch). Started out with the shrimp spring rolls, followed by the traditional pho with chicken (dirty - cooked with a soy-mushroom sauce). The spring rolls were large and fresh. The pho was tasty and plentiful with noodles and chicken. If you decide to go with one of the pho dishes, don't forget to visit the "pho bar" for your pho fixins. In sum, good food - good value. Check it out.

My fiancé and I went to try this place yesterday since the weather was nice and cool. We had split a pho and not only did they charge us to split it but it had a nasty smell to it. We have visited several pho places before and this one had a funky smell to it. We tried to over power the smell by adding lime juice, jalapeños, and sriracha sauce but it didn't go away. I wouldn't come back.

UPDATED: I used to come here two or three times a week. Now, it's become just okay. All of the prices went up, and that wouldn't bother me much, except for the fact that portions seem smaller too. Service is not as good as before, and I was given a dirty fork. Pho is fine, just won't be my regular spot anymore. Previous: Always love coming to this place. Great service, and amazing food. If you like spicy, try the transcendental drops. Also, Blake is a great server!

I ate dinner here and this is, for sure, the very best food I've ever eaten in my life. It was like consuming unicorn. I was served by Paula and Hillary. The only thing more beautiful than they were, was the way my vermicelli was presented. For realz doe, if Gisele Bundchen was sitting next to me, I wouldn't have noticed at all. I wish Dallas had a Michelin guide, because this place would earn 3 stars faster than my luxurious flan came to my table (which was fast). Top rating from me, never will I eat anywhere else again without wanting to be back at this place.

The food is amazing and plentiful. Nice and friendly staff. The customer service was great!

Worst pho I've ever had. I ordered from Ubereats and recieved the meat, bean sprouts, and cilantro in the broth making the veggies dull and the meat overcooked and soggy. The veggies that were on the side were browning and old. In addition to the bad presentation, the meat was chewy and low quality. We didn't end up eating it, threw it away and ordered from somewhere else. I requested a refund from Ubereats because it was so terrible.

My bf and I love this place, wished it was open later.. Pho is great and service is always wonderful..

Day or night, dine in or to go, this place never disappoints! I need to eat more items from the menu but I'm addicted to like 4 of them so I haven't strayed from them. Always crave the food from here!

We stopped in last night for some “to go” food on our way back home and really enjoyed our time having a drink while waiting on our food. Ashley and Morgan were so friendly and great to chat with. We will most definitely be back!!

By far my favorite pho/ramen/everything spot! Hillary is beyond amazing in service. Overall badass place.

I come here quite often. I tend to get the tofu fried rice (pro-tip: ask for extra tofu). I've had the tofu vermicelli a few times (also great). Tofu spring rolls are awesome. I tried the tofu pho once. I recall it being very good, but I'm not much of a pho eater in general. And I know it sounds weird, but the dorito cerviche thing is actually really great. Good food, tends to be very quick even when they're really busy, good service.

I love this place the Pho was awesome. I opted for the low carb version with cabbage. Under Vietnamese Iced coffee was perfect.

Always yummy and I really like the staff. They don’t judge when you come in either sick for soup or drunk for carbs
