Review Dolce Riviera - Dallas

Victor Barreda
I was very impressed with the pictures when my family picked this restaurant. Showing up and using valet made parking easy; but I suggest using a ride share service. The shade of the frost tower made sitting outside very pleasant. Inside with air conditioning was even better. Watching the food coming out of the kitchen and being bussed to the tables, you get a preview of how well your food will be presented. Brunch was very good but I was more interested in the dinner options. I'll try that next time.

I am absolutely blown away by Dolce Riviera. My friend and I went on a Saturday night. The decor is beautiful and elegant with dim lighting. It was amazing for a girls night but also would be a great date night spot. I made a reservation with open door requesting a booth so my four year old was more comfortable. When we arrived at the host stand not only were the two young ladies incredibly kind but also had already read my request and sat us at a booth. A kind young woman named Angelica came and filled out water glasses. When our waitress, Jessica, came to the table she had also read my request and that we wanted girls night but the sitter can canceled. Jessica’s first approach to our table was to bring us champagne! I was blown away with the kind gesture. Don’t get me wrong, the food here is to die for…but the service at this restaurant is really what makes it so special. There is no kids menu but Jessica said she would ask the chef just to make a little spaghetti and the chef made accommodations for us (and it was delicious)! Also, Jessica hunted down some paper and pens for my daughter to draw on. Several staff members came by our table consistently to make sure we were enjoying our experience. We got the off menu truffle pasta served table side from a cheese wheel….oh. My. Gosh. Amazing. We also ordered a cheesecake for dessert and the staff included an extra dessert with a sparkler! My friend and I had the best of time catching up and my daughter was entertained and comfortable the entire time. I cannot recommend this place enough (and if you go, ask for Jessica! She will certainly make your experience magical). We will, without a doubt, be dining here again.

Absolutely delicious! Came here for brunch. My favorite: Expresso Martini and lemon ricotta pancakes. Service was exceptional. Love the atmosphere. Seated in a corner table, which was not the best. Felt too cramped and close to table next to us. However, will definitely visit again.

Me and my friend dined here on a Sunday evening and had no problem making a reservation. There is complimentary valet and a cute patio entrance. We were seating in the covered/enclosed area with the fake lemon tree that makes you feel like you're outside (photo worthy). However, it also felt like we were outside and it was very hot in this area despite being enclosed and connected to the "main" restaurant area. I enjoyed the Truffle cream gnocchi (10/10) and my friend enjoyed the Cacio e Pepe (also 10/10). The flavors were great and the truffle was out of this world. Note that the portions are not huge though. The cocktails were equally delicious. I had to knock down a star because we (everyone around us) had a sweaty dining experience.

The food is incredible!! Everything was perfect, I didn't even get pics of our entrees because I just dove right in! I did get some of our appetizer and the dessert we got to go.

Beautiful restaurant with good food. Lots of variety, and all fresh. Bread service was wonderful. Service was middling. Slow, and got an order wrong, but fixed the problem and was super nice about it. I'd say give it a try, but not if you're in a hurry.

Had such a wonderful time here, the service is top notch. You think the food is going to take awhile but if you have the bread, olive oils, olives and the cheese you’re gonna start to love the food for the main dishes. We had plenty of food with our friends and celebrated our friends birthday. She is very happy about the service and the desserts are oh so wonderful. Be prepared to have your tastebuds in heaven for an amazing experience that this place delivers to the occasion. Come to this place with your date, side piece, the miss’s or the ones you love because you’ll be in for a treat.

What a great brunch! Felt welcome from the time I walked in. The hostess greeted me with such a pretty smile, took my umbrella for me and offered a seat at the bar while I waited for my friends. The bartender made me a great TX Whiskey Espresso Martini... perfect amount of froth! Thank you sir. Our server was great and offered us a few recommendations. We order the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Frittata & Ricotta Scramble and 2 sides of bacon.... everything was really good! Bacon came a perfectly crispy (as requested), the Ricotta scramble was so light and fluffy and the Frittata was yummy! A bottle champagne for mimosas was the perfect addition to this meal and we will all definitely be back! Thank you for such great service!

I have been missing Italy after a recent trip. It is hard to find authentic Italian food. Alfredo is NOT Italian! I saw this restaurant online and loved the photos of the outdoor area upon first glance. I looked over the menu and it was exactly what I was looking for! Cacio e pepe jumped off the page! I decided to take my daughter for my birthday. Our server, Gabby, was fantastic. The tables were close together, just as they are at Italian (and other European) cafes. The ambience was beautiful. We enjoyed the bruschetta, cacio e pepe, filet mignon, tiramisu and mango sorbet. Every bite was so fresh with quality ingredients. Even the olive oil on the bread. Other reviews mention the food was bland. Not true. Italians enjoy quality products instead of massive amounts of seasoning. Well done, Dolce Riviera! I will be returning!

Went for brunch and had a good experience. I enjoyed the brunch carbonara. My daughter got the lemon ricotta pancakes and they were tasty but a bit sweet. Atmosphere was really nice, might come back for dinner.

Arrived on time for a 9 reservation. Took almost 45 minutes to be seated. As soon as we were seated the server seemed bothered by a table of 8. Slow and little to no attention payed to our table or drinks. Went almost an hour with no contact with our server. No water refill, eventually I went to the bar to place a wine order, and a glass of water. No bread with our appetizer. Our food finally came out after an hour of waiting. Luckily the food was amazing, the only redeeming quality for the evening. The food was hot and cooked perfectly. Thankfully our lack luster server had an amazing food runner who was attentive and polite. It's a shame the food was outstanding but if I walked in and got the same server I would promptly walk out. Great food terrible server.

I had for some time been encouraged to seek out this restaurant and last night I'm glad I did. We were greated by lovely hostesses and led to our table which was located in a sweet nook of the restaurant. I had a lovely view of the expanse of the back side of the restaurant which made you feel like you were on a terrazzo ~ the ambiance was cool, chic and refreshing. We were greeted by our server Pepe, who was an absolute delight and settled for the Burrata & Pomodori and Carpaccio di Bresaola...one expression... ahhhhhh, followed by a fantastico! The carpaccio, slither of cheese and salad were a perfect blend. Tossed back with a cosmopolitano bianco! Refreshing! For main, I selected Paccheri All’astice (lobster pasta dish) and my friend selected Pappardelle al Cacao - her dish was fantastic, my dish was good, but I fear hers was better! We finished off the dinner with gelato 🍧mine was mango, soooooo creamy! Janelle had scoops of vanilla and chocolate - truly a spectacular end to a fantastic meal! The food was exceptional, but it was elevated to a higher experience because of the vibe from those around! Our servers, Pepe and the eve so engaging Alberto were par excellence and I cannot end this by amazing night by saying it was such a treasure to see the sweet and lovely Jennifer Moyers, who was the first to encourage me to dine at Dolce and am so glad I did! Jennifer is truly a jewel! Will definitely be returning to this restaurant!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our waiter served us the lobster pasta cold, and when I mentioned that to the waiter and that there was literally NO pasta, his reply was we can get you “ extra” but it will be an additional charge. I asked for the manager, and explained. He promptly took care of this issue- he brought hot, lobster filled pasta to all of us! Great manager The food was very good.

The food and the service was the best. Our server was very attentive to our needs. Definitely would recommend dining there.

I had a good experience and it was ok, but a few "hiccups". We had a party for a friends Bday with over 13 of us attending and othe only had one server taking care of us. When we arrived they had the tables set for 10 of us, so when the rest of the party arrived they had no were to sit. We explained to the hostess about the issue and she was less than thrilled to assist. Once we all finally got seated, the server took our orders. It was absolutely beyond hot in the restaurant, perhaps since we were sitting right beside the kitchen. It was incredible unbearable and we explained to the server about the heat, he said he would adjust the temp and honestly nothing happened. Our food arrived and it was EXCELLENT! The pasta was amazing!!!! The bread, cheese and olive plate was superb!!! Overall great food but poor atmosphere and adequate staff.

Amazing for course dinner with recommended wines! The manager, Eddie, was extremely accommodating, and our server was the best! All of the food was delicious. Extremely surprised with how the ribeye was better than other top steakhouses. The risotto with saffron and ossobucco.... stunning

Charming venue with chic patio and outdoor dining space reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast! Food was excellent and fresh as homemade served by attentive staff in an relaxed atmosphere where our party thoroughly enjoyed a 2+ hour lunch capped off by expresso and a scrumptious soufflé!! Can’t wait to return!!!

Risotto, a plate not to try there. Server, too snobby in dinner time. I was treated very well for brunch but very bad for dinner. Manager was accommodating and did his best.

The restaurant is beautiful and great balcony space . The people that working there was super nice and professional. I think they need to change the menu...I didn't like the pasta,my husband said the chicken was ok but not the best. Italian restaurant have to have amazing pasta and know how to make good sauce. Overall I will come back but for a drink and dessert.

Don’t turn your nose up at the patio if that is the only seating left. Fantastic patio, fantastic food, service was perfection. Ask for Justin, he knows how to treat you like a customer. Great job team.
