Most important: the food is great and plentiful. I had the steak Tacos Al Carbon and though I'm not used to flour tortillas in this meal, or the lettuce, quacamole etc. served to the side of the rolled up tacos, it was excellent, as we're the rice and beans.
Points for a location near West End Station and a nice decor, but not the quickest service. A great choice for Tex-Mex in downtown. Not cheap but fairly priced.
and they have the best chips very thin and crispy
I got the enchiladas deluxe meal that has everything
One tostada with homemade guacamole
One ground beef taco
3 enchiladas one cheese one ground meat & one chicken.
It was totally completely awesome Best Mexican food I've had in a while.
My coworkers and I came here for lunch and our server DeWayne was awesome! Ask him to tell you about the prescription joke. He was so entertaining and the food is good too! The moon deals are all affordable and the food came out quick. I will definitely be returning.
My wife and I are always on the lookout for a good, "non-chain", Mom & Pop Mexican restaurant. We were staying downtown recently, and I looked this place up, and decided to try it. First off, be warned, you can't just park next to the place, but it IS downtown., so be prepared to find a parking lot, and walk. We walked in the door, after lunch. Nice, warm looking place. Sat down and ordered a Margarita. (it was good) the waitress brought over some chips and salsa. It was very good, and had an "afterburn". I enjoyed it. I ordered the cheese and onion, and queso enchiladas. (both are cheese, right??) LOL but they were delicious! My wife ordered the tostadas, and said they were very good. She tried a bite of my enchiladas and agreed they were very good. I would DEFINITIVELY go back if in the neighborhood, and the next time I'm in the Dallas area, I'm going to search out their Greenville Avenue Restaurant to see if it, is just as good. I was very pleased.
A decent place for lunch in downtown Dallas. I had a Chile Relleno stuffed with cheese and chicken. Dining companion had Fajitas with tortillas and guacamole. Only one unisex bathroom on first floor, while upstairs has separate bathrooms
Good little Tex Mex spot downtown. This was pretty good. their best dish there is the big fajita chimichanga. I'm trying to eat more veggies. I sub for rice and beans for grilled veggies, they were good.
The food was amazing! The staff was also super helpful. I am vegetarian and they were extremely accommodating to me since I wanted the chimichanga. The chimichanga platter with queso is what is pictured. My friend loved her chicken one and the salsa.
Couldn't wait to try the beef tamales and they did not disappoint, good food and service
This was a nice place in down town Dallas. We got there and was seated in a short time. There was only two people working out front, the bartender and the waitress. The bartender sat us at a booth and then the waitress came by after several minutes and took drink order. It then took a while before she came back to take our food order. However, we got our food and it was good. The price was right for the portion. It was also reasonably priced for the location as well. Overall, really enjoyed going here and eating. Only concern was the timing. Don't go here if your in a hurry.
I love this place. Been going here years!!!
