Review Amore Italian Restaurant - Dallas

Excellent experience at Amore tonight. Busy but great service. All of our food was amazing. Thrilled that they have limoncello. We had cannelloni and it was excellent.

The people there are very nice! I love the food especially focaccia! Will definitely go again some time!

Nice classic restaurant, kind of like a hole in the wall in that it been there for 20+ years and is small and cozy. Located in Snider Plaza. Great food! Like it a little better when they play the good classic music like Frank Sinatra etc rather than newer/hip music.

Small, cozy place with friendly, efficient staff. Menu fairly modest, but food is great. We always get the minestrine--love it. Wife goes for Mixed Grill and I usually go for veal dish or pasta. We have never had a bad experience here.

Cozy, local spot for Italian food that doesn’t seem to have changed much since the 90s (in a good way). Sure, they remodeled the back pickup area to add a bar, but everything else is comfortably unchanged. Friendly staff and consistently good food.

Amore deserves a "10" in all categories. The most recent was a birthday dinner with two of my daughters. The evening could not have been more wonderful.

Wow! What an incredible restaurant Amore is! We had the new thin crust pizza (Seriously the best I've ever had), and some delicious wine on our first visit. Will definitely be returning in the near future!

Went for lunch last Friday. Owner host was lovely. Good family vibe. The food was simple and delicious - Ordered the shrimp Picatta. Half price wine bottle Monday and Tuesday!

The food was amazing. The service even better! The atmosphere is great, you can go there with your kids, your date, your girlfriends and it feels right for every scenario. Shout out to Jesus for his amazing customer service and for his menu suggestions. Definitely coming back! P.S. Wine bottles are half of Mon & Tues :)

Just came for brunch and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the staff was so kind. I loved the frittata! We had fantastic mimosas and enjoyed sitting outside. Highly recommend for brunch!

Food is and always has been piping hot when brought to the table! I have never had an "off" meal at Amore. Service is great, you feel at home the moment you arrive. I recommend everything on the menu. Excellent! They recently added a sit down full service bar, a great and inviting addition. Side note, I've had their pizza many, many times and last night once again - they've made it even better!

Fantastic experience! It feels like Europe on the inside - cozy, supremely clean, friendly, homey. And then the food starts to arrive!!! Deliciously made with a freshness seldom found in pasta dishes elsewhere. Hands down one of, if not the, best in town! Can't wait to go back!

We were a little late for our dinner reservation, but they had a table waiting for us. Waiter was attentive and proactive in asking if we wanted more bread and refills. Appetizer, dinner, and dessert were all really good!

The food and service were excellent. This is a good, friendly neighborhood spot.

Love this little place! If you drive too fast you’ll miss it. We are always treated so nicely at this cute little Italian restaurant. The salad dressing is made in house and is to die for! The Italian cream cake is heavenly. You really can’t beat this place!

Great food and attentive service. Will continue to visit when in Dallas

Have eaten at this restaurant for 20 years there today the pizza crust was pre fab and not home by pizza crust when I asked the waiter he said it's been that way for 14 years which is wrong management and ownership is changed but why would the staff lie to old clients

Louds Kids. We were there when Bruce and his kids were there they were so LOUD some parents don't get it one of his wild kids even ran into the kitchen know you know the other side.

-----23 Aug, 2013-----

LOVE IT. We just love This place

Do not take your kids to Amore. For family friendly Italian, go to Penne Pomodoro instead. My kids are wild, I'll admit that, but no more so than yours.
While we were trying to pay our bill at Amore, the manager (the big white manager with the mustache) came over to our table and basically kicked us out. He said his customers were complaining about our daughter's behavior. This was entirely false because we never saw anyone come over and speak to him. He was perched by the door turning people without reservations away; we were sitting right by the door and would have seen such a complaint. We feel like he just wanted our table, which is dumb because we were leaving anyway. His customers included two tables of regulars, (senior clientele being personally served vodka by him), who were telling stories consisting of a lot of bathroom humor. There were only a few other family tables in the restaurant. We should have been the ones complaining, listening to their conversations.
The staff was nice, the food and wine were good, but we give it one star because this manager was a buffoon. Family friendly, Amore is not. They don't even have apple juice.

Free Bath Included!. After the waiter clumsily knocked over a full glass of water into my date's lap, I thought they would at least give us complimentary drinks if not the whole meal or discount on our next visit. But they did not. Not very hospitable, in my opinion.

The chicken Caesar salad was good as was the pizza. But the bruschetta was more like a French bread pizza. Very disappointing. Because of the management's failure to adequately show their remorse for the accident and compensate us for our distress and discomfort, I will not be back.

We were turned away because we had our kids with us.

Charming Waiter. We just returned from Florence, and this small neighborhood cafe reflected the neighborhood feel found in the cafes all over Italy.
