Review Green Door Public House - Dallas

Burger was 1/2 pound, cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. My son had salmon tacos, which were very good. Service was a bit slow but friendly. Loved the patio.

Pros: The atmosphere is comfy and nice. The establishment is very nice and interesting. I was on a tour so it was an amazing experience. The story about the self-locking women’s bathroom is very scary and I am intrigued but not brave enough to use the restroom myself. Go on the ghost tour to find out what I’m talking about. Taylor is amazing!!! Cons: I ordered a mix drink with extra grenadine. Meaning I wanted it to be extra sweet. However, it was heavily filled with liquor and little sweetness.

The drinks were actually really good and the food was even better !! I haven’t had a yummy cheeseburger in a long time . Definitely will be back !!

A solid four stars. The food was delicious but I didn't like that there were no signs directing us to seat ourselves and we had to go to the bar to place our order.

Nice little place with bar fare. Mimosa carafe was great 😊, Cuban sandwich was a nice tasting surprise. Chicken tenders were decent, not bad, but not great. I definitely suggest the sandwich’s! Fries were pretty good too! Then for dessert the brownie tasted pretty nice too! Friendly and personable service, I would go back again for sure! 😁

This definitely seems like an underrated hangout in Dallas. All the food is made in house and it shows because it was all delicious. We were able to play around with the menu and really personalize our orders! The service was AMAZING! Taye was our bartender and server while we sat outside. She made us BOMB margaritas and made the whole experience fun for us! It was a perfect casual and hearty meal in a really cool location. Perfect hangover meal and drinks for sure.

When I lived in Dallas, my family & friends used to come here regularly. Green Door is a great local bar in the downtown area with a neighborhood feel. The staff were always so nice & welcoming, and the food/drinks were always excellent! Bonus: there are awesome views of Downtown Dallas right outside this place!

Very nice and clean. Excellent service! Our drinks were kept full. The food was delicious. Everyone was still wearing masks 😷. The Italian Garden Sandwich was so delicious for those who don't want meat. For those that do, the Pull Pork 🌮 tacos were delicious 😋.

Great food absolutely amazing. The vibe was great and welcoming. The avocados where to die for and the burger w/ bacon and Avocado was the best.

At Green Door Public House, prepare to have your concept of flavor challenged. The dishes are not just delicious; they're an exploration of taste dimensions you never knew existed. It's not a restaurant; it's a portal to a parallel universe of culinary excellence.

I have been to the Green Door a few times in the past and it never disappoints. The staff is friendly, I always end up having such a good conversation when I am there. I got the turkey sandwich and my boyfriend for a burger. The food was delicious and it came out quickly. It's a perfect neighborhood bar/restaurant to go to if you are in Downtown Dallas or by the Farmer's Market b

This is a great place, kinda tucked away right next to the massive ,old Scottish Rite building and almost directly across from an old Masonic temple as well. Every time we come here we prefer the porch area and preferably before or right at sundown. The views of Downtown Dallas from this vantage point are amazing. The drinks here are really good and a seemingly generous pouring of each. The staff always treats us (me and my other half)well and they are always friendly. As far as food goes, I’ve only had the fries which were great, but looking at the menu, I know I’m going to sample some more items. I always notice people regularly ordering food just about every time and it sure looks and smells great! The building built in 1899 has some history of its own being a throwback to the prohibition era (hence the green door)

I arrived here at around 2 pm on a Thursday and there were just a half dozen patrons, all at the bar.  A nice mellow vibe even with the 80’s hair bands playing (which seemed to fit in an inexplicable way). It was hot outside and I enjoyed the cool atmosphere and muted lighting. The bartender, Harry, was nice without being intrusive; prompt and courteous. I appreciated being able to sample my beers before I buy.  Green Door only offers 10 craft beers on tap (more in cans and bottles) but I was still a little indecisive. I very much appreciated his patience and recommendations. The only food I ordered was the chips and salsa with guacamole.  The chips were hot and fresh, a bit thinner than usual and seemed to melt in my mouth.  The salsa was spicy but not too hot, the guacamole nice and creamy. I had a wonderful chill time but it gets busy around 5-6 and rage against the machine crazy after 10 Thurs - Sat nights.  Whatever is your preference, enjoy! Tell Harry I said hi ;-)

Good drinks and good food! Bacon cheese fries with ranch and jalapeños added.
