Review Olivella's Neo Pizza Napoletana - Dallas

This place was AMAZING. The service was awesome, and the food was superb. I brought a dragon head I have, and the waiters were nice enough to take a picture with it. We were running a bit late, and for here about 40 minutes before closing. We ordered, with only 2 other people there. We ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs, Pasta Forno, and a Black Truffle Pizza. The pasta dishes were served quickly, but the pizza took a bit longer. The food was really good and flavorful. I don't understand the people who said it wasn't good. My entire party loved it. Since it was my birthday, we ordered a dessert. One of the waiters, I didn't get his name, paid for it. It was the Nutella Mousse. It was great. While we ate, I heard two waiters arguing about who were "the coolest people". One was pointing to us. The other was pointing to a family that was outside. That made is chuckle. We finished our dessert. The waiters turned off the music, and gave us another laugh by saying that the same songs were played every day. They were able to sing most of the songs by heart. We left, about 30 minutes after "closing time" but they didn't care. The atmosphere was really good, and the waiters made the day or superb. This is a great place to visit. We will definitely come back when we're in the Dallas area. This was a great Birthday dinner. Thank you. P.S. If you visit, ask if they remember the dragon.

They have special AAC event menus, possibly to raise prices? I don’t know but they end happy hour at 5 on event days so no bargains here. The Italian margarita and lemontini were tasty but lemontini is super sweet so be prepared. We had the black truffle pizza with red sauce—very tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Service is great. Had the napolitan style pizza and it was delicious, you could taste that the sauce was made with fresh ingredients, not too spicy, you could taste the tomatoes in there. The cheese, which apparently is made in-house, was also very good.

I honestly love this place, me, my wife and my 5 year old son were very amazed on the great taste and awesome service. I will definitely be back, I had the normal neo style pizza and was very satisfied but next time I will go for the Roma style pizza it looks amazing.

Tried it this place out for the first time. Noticed “best pizza in Texas” inside and had to try it. Not sure what pizza they had but I just got a generic pepperoni pizza and gave it a solid 7.5. Has a good crunch and the cheese was pretty good. Also the cheese dip was delicious! Place is good to hang out or for a quick bite. Server was what a server should be, polite and straight forward. I’d recommend to anyone for first timers!

Extremely nice staff, great service, great food! My sister and I walked into several restaurants before a concert at the American Airlines Center. Each restaurant had at least an hour wait. We found this place and they seated us in 10 minutes, acknowledged that we were going to the concert and got us in and out fast. The sangria was amazing and the pizza was just perfect! I will be going back.

Magnificent pizza. I get really bugged by reviewers who complain about prices and wait time. You can check prices online, and it's not the restaurant's fault it's popular. Get over it. Anyway, went here last night on my way to a Mavs game. Absolutely delicious thin crust pizza. The dough was as fresh as any I've ever had, good toppings. Ample (but not incredible) beer selection, good choices of wine. Our server was ever so slightly slow, but it was a slow night and chances are she was working most of the tables. Great experience all-in-all.

Okay so I will start with the food was phenomenal, however, I can not say the same about the service. When we arrived they were not busy as there was one couple on the patio. We were unsure if two friends would be able to meet us at the time so we said party of 4 on the patio just in case. We were told that they won't seat until the whole party is there. Okay so were a party of two. We were seated at a 4 top table, there are no 2 top tables on the patio. I got up to up to use the ladies room and over heard the lady who seated us telling the waitress that we were a party of two. We ordered two drinks we asked for a Limontini and a "Old-Fashioned with Woodford Reserve". We received the Limontini, it was frozen. I didn't expect this to come frozen mainly because I had ordered it before and it's a martini. They changed the menu and I didn't read the menu accordingly. None the less, it was delicious. We received a "Brooklyn's with George Dickel Rye", which we did not order. We were in earshot of the bar and we heard the bartender as if the waitress still needed the "Old-Fashioned with Woodford Reserve" we did not hear the response from the waitress. We ordered two pizzas "Roman Style Metro - Very Thin Crust - Rustica" and a "Neapolitan Style - Normal Crust - Soppressata & Sausage". We received our pizzas and both came out as the "Roman Style Metro - Very Thin Crust" I let the gentlemen who brought us the pizzas that the "Soppressata & Sausage" was suppose to be "Neapolitan Style - Normal Crust". He said he would tell our waitress, and she didn't come over and acknowledge that she got our order wrong. The lady that seated us came over to see what the issue was, we told her it was the wrong crust. She said well you're only being charged for the "Neapolitan Style Normal Crust". We said okay since we didn't want it to go to waste. At this point there was no reason to tell anyone that the "Old-Fashioned with Woodford Reserve" that was order was actually a "Brooklyns - with George Dickel Rye" as I'm sure we would have been told you won't be charged for the "Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve". When it came time to leave I asked for a go box, she said sure "I will pack this up for you". She returned to the table with the bag. We got home and I realized that we did not receive a go box. We received pizza that was stacked on top of itself, with already crinkled tinfoil that didn't even completely cover the pizza. The table next to us received an actual go box and I'm sure their pizza re-heated decently. Ours however, was a soggy mess due to the fact that it was stacked on top of its self. Oh and it was not covered properly, as the tinfoil was too small to completely cover the pizza.

We came in to use the restroom before getting in line for a concert at the House of Blues, and stayed for pizza. They let us customize our own pizza, the staff was really friendly and polite, and service was quick. We'll make this our go-to place for food whenever we come to the House of Blues in the future.

My friends and I happened upon this spot before our concert at AAC. Dig the design and the food was delicious. The service was pretty good. But the server said the fettuccine alfredo does not have truffle oil in it....it tastes phenomenal and I could swear it has truffle oil. I recommend this place fornpre- concert or game fare instead of concession food.

Wonderful service and great food!! My kids enjoyed everything we ordered. Our server was so attentive and made us feel very comfortable. We sat on the patio, i highly recommend it when the weather is nice!

The service is horrible!!! They take the phone off the hook so they will not have orders after 9 pm. I went there last week and at 9:05 pm the waiter told me they were closed. It is sad that shitty service can ruin a great place! If you can stand shitty and poor service the food is great. Save yourself the heartache and go to fireside pies for great service and great food!

Table of 9 ordered. Three separate checks. Everyone received their food except me. I waited a few minutes before getting the attention of the waiter. He immediately made things right and comp’d my dinner. Then the manager came over and provided dessert for the entire table. Will definitely be back. Food was wonderful. Service was great. Everyone makes mistakes.

Fun place. Good wine selection and appetizers....ravioli amazing. Desserts look amazing.

One star food, five star service I don't know what it was about this pizza. It fell apart . I don't know much about pizza but I know it's not suppose to do that. And the sauce tasted store bought. I was bad. It's a nice place and the servce was actually awesome and friendly.

The pizza was very good. The atmosphere was inviting and very busy. The place was packed before the hockey game. The food came out amazing fast. We recommend it. Enjoy

Excellent food. Quick and friendly service. Killer cappuccino ice cream pie! Loved this place. Super close walking distance to AAC.
