Review Sprezza - Dallas

Christina Smith
I would give Sprezza more than five stars if I could. I am simply baffled by what some of the negative reviews said. Chef Ryan and his staff are amazing! From the hostess, to the wait staff to the people that filled our water glasses and bussed our tables, they were all fantastic. When we told our waiter (David) that it was our first visit he took the time to go through every item on the menu and explain what everything was and answer each of our questions. When the food came out it only got better. All of us at the table shared and made it family style and there was not a single item we didn’t like - and we ate a lot!!! If I had to pick a favorite or two from what we had I would choose the ravioli with Sunday gravy and the salmon. Even the non-seafood eater of the group picked salmon as his favorite. And the desserts.....oh my! I will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu as I’m sure they will be just as good as everything we had on our first visit. Thanks to everyone at Sprezza for a wonderful dining experience!

We chose this place based on its reviews, and it did not disappoint. Immaculate and seating accommodations that allowed for social distancing made us feel very comfortable from the start. The portion sizes were adequate for sharing, and the menu had a variety of items. Also, make sure to enjoy their house cocktails along with a large selection of some. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Fresh ingredients, home made pasta, daily menu, trendy ambience, friendly services, delicious... many reasons for a 5 star rating. Interesting to observe that menu for wines are displayed in a non conventional manner.. by price categories; and menu lacks translation and description.... Definitely need a knowledgeable staffs to highlight what to order.. else may be a little lost. Great thing is they have resourceful and friendly staffs.

I was never an big fan of Italian food - but Sprezza changed that. Food is very good and very fresh. The chef accommodates most reasonable requests, wine paring is also very good, and the service is also great. We were lucky to get Kaatie (I think I spelled it right) every time and she is very very good. Enjoy.

Great service and delicious food. We just walked in (7 of us: 5 adults, 2 kids) on a Sunday early evening thinking we could get a table since it was an early dinner (5:30PM). Little did we know, they were completely booked and were not able to take in any walk-ins; however, they gave us the table that they had reserved for the owner. Everything we had there was great too. I had the sweet potato gnocchi which was excellent. For dessert, I had tiramisu which I would be honest and say that I've had better ones elsewhere, but it was not bad. I would definitely go back.

Oh Sprezza. How I love you. This place is amazing, the only thing that keeps us from going more is how hard it is to get a reservation. So, make sure to make a reservation weeks in advance if you can. Or they have open bar seating but it's only about 10 spots. Cocktails - Great, not too sweet, good variety Wines - great selection, focuses on Roman region, all wines are price conscious but still great quality - most bottles are $40-65 FOOD - Just phenomenal. The pasta is freshly made every day and is cooked perfectly al dente. Their salads are so unique and the crostini is always well done. Their menu is seasonal and changes quite often which I love but also is sad when you find something you love so much... like the lump crab crostini. All in all, this place is a must try and a new Dallas staple.

Wanted to try it because really close by. Atmosphere is great, service was fantastic. Food was really good, menu is simple, just ask your waiter to explain it, our waiter did a good job going over what each dish were. More of a special occasions place rather than a go have a meal place.

Brother restaurant to Nonna, the food and service is just a smidge below only because it's new. Luis is the main bartender and ready to serve. The layout is very welcoming. It's located in house layout oaklawn ave by the grapevine.

The most delightful pasta I’ve ever had! Toothsome al dente that will send you straight to heaven! Compliments to the chef, Garrett, and the lovely server, David and his team. We had a wonderful evening and all raving, and our belts are busting open!

This is really a nice place to visit, from the moment we sat down till we left our table the server (Kaati) was awesome! She was very sweet and attentive. The food was great! We had the vodka pizza and the lamb ravioli. For drink, we had the Garofoli brut champagne and Sicilian (rosso) red wine. Sorry no pictures, the food was just too good to wait for pictures. The food was well seasoned and you can taste all the ingredients. The outdoor seating is also nice on a good weather. Go check it out!

What an incredible and perfect dining experience. My partner and I just moved to Oak Lawn and we thought we'd check out Sprezza just down the street. We were blown away. The manager was perfectly mannered and welcoming, the interior design of the space is gracious and lovely. Modern but warm. The crowd was on the casual side of 'dressed up' and there was a fantastic energy throughout the space which had a variety of seating from high top communal to booths, tables, counter/bar and outside. We were ready to eat. We split the chopped antipasti salad which was refreshing and packed just a little surprise heat courtesy of some chili pepper. Then we shared the cacio e pepe...phenomenal flavors, and the Camorra pizza that was delicate in taste but hearty to the appetite - my favorite. We enjoyed everything so much we had a second round of wine and split the olive oil cake with pistachio buttercream. We will be back...just need to figure out how to not buy alcohol and all courses on the regular lest we break our bank.

Enjoyed lunch here a few weeks ago, and wow, this place is not your average Italian eatery. The food is as authentic as it gets for Dallas. Open and airy, the low key feel of the restaurant is modest in comparison to the food. Delicious cocktails too--this place is the real deal.

What a wonderful experience. Atmosphere is beautifully designed and laid out. Very cozy feel. Food was fantastic! They seem to change the menu often as noted in the date on the menu picture below. Water is at the table very readily available. Pricing is around the ~20 dollar range and no free bread unfortunately. Maybe that's a good thing so you don't fill up on bread? I like bread with my Italian meals just be ready to fork over $7 for 4 slices. The portions are meant for individuals portioned rather "healthy-sized" but I prefer the texas sized portions so I can have leftovers for the next day or share some with my SO.

Modern Setting - Inviting Bar - Wonderful Service - Large Portions to Share - Great Value - Valet Parking - Will Definitely Be Back On this Friday Night: Enjoyed: their tasty "Yellowtail Crudo" and well marinated "Gnocchi with Wagyu Beef" tremendously --- Skip: bland 'smoked beef tongue' and hard as rock crusted 'burrata pizza' --- LOVED: their "BURRATA PANNA COTTA", a perfect combination of savory and sweetness for a dessert!

Our little girl asked for carrots. We asked, our waiter asked, they didn’t have anything on the menu that evening. It’s okay, we completely understood, we would find something she would eat. Thirty minutes later our waiter came around with a bowl of blanched carrots! People, I cried. That’s going above and beyond for their guests. The chef came out, said he had a 2 y/o at home and understood what it was like. WOW! It made our evening. Thank you so much. We’ve eaten all over Dallas, we have our favorites. The food and the drinks at Sprezza have always been a delight, but carrots threw you into our number 1. The wine list is exciting with rare and unique finds, the food NEVER disappoints. The noodles are al dente (perfect if you’re wondering), the cocktails are imaginative and fun. For handling COVID-19, masks and gloves were worn correctly, tables are distanced. I felt safe and respected.
