I always enjoy the food here. The pancakes are consistently delicious, and the service is good. The atmosphere varies depending on when you’re here; at lunchtime it’s busy and crowded, and on my last visit there was a large family group seated nearby complete with infant (sleeping) and toddler (screaming). Don’t go on a weekend unless you are okay with a wait.

Enjoyed a scrumptious turkey rueben on marbled rye and my wife was delighted with the cherry crepes. Very busy but wait time was short. Shout out to our waitress, Angela for suggestions and fulfilling our dining needs. The restaurant has its own parking lot but there is also parking on the street in case the lot is filled.

Perfect, delicious breakfast in the most perfect atmosphere. Incredible service from Joy, the restaurant is so well kept, nicest employees, not too loud - we will definitely be back!

Solid as always, but service here stood out. We had a party of 12 with two toddlers and they promptly seated us and got the food and drinks out fast. Took as reasonable amount of time as one would expect but the service was great!
Looked a little ran down, has a few ceiling tiles with water damage but who doesnt? Food was fair, so was the price, but nothing to write home about.

The Original Pancake House was a delightful experience for before our drive back home.
We stopped here for a breakfast and coffee at around 10ish, and it did take us some time to get seated, as well as to have our drinks and orders received. However, once all had been taken care of, food came out relatively quickly. In the meantime, we were able to get a few cups of coffee in though.
The food was definitely very good though, as we ordered the Swedish pancakes, the avocado toast, and some sausage and oatmeal as a side. Each was very good, and I can certainly recommend the Swedish pancakes to someone who is looking for a lighter meal, and alternatively the avocado toast to anyone who's just looking for a traditional breakfast plate.
All in all, while the service was slow, and the food was a bit pricey, it also tasted good and came out somewhat quickly from the time it was ordered.
4/5, I would come again if I'm in the area, and, really hungry.

I love the pancakes at The Original Pancake House. Compared to other pancake places are by far by far the best. I almost always get the full stack and take half of it home. It's great to look forward to eating them again the next day. I usually go with one of my friends who almost always gets the eggs benedict with a side of Pancakes and we split the fresh squeezed orange juice. The service is always great and the waitresses and the host are very friendly. There's plenty of parking and breakfast there is reasonably priced.

Wow, why have we been sleeping on this place. We last went there for our commitment ceremony breakfast 13 years ago, and have been missing out ever since. Went there this morning for my husband's birthday breakfast. Food was fantastic! I had a short stack of blueberry pancakes and my other half had a short stack of pumpkin pecan pancakes. Then we split an order of scrambled eggs and bacon. Everything was perfection! The pancakes were really light, and I mean that in a good way. I didn't have the heavy feeling I often have after pancakes. And the flavors were on point. The eggs were fluffy and the bacon. Well, I normally like my bacon crispy, but I now appreciate the benefit of a nicely cooked thick slice of bacon. And the icing on the cake (or the whipped cream on the pancake) was the service and staff. Amber the manager seated us and then checked in on us later introducing herself and even asking for our names!! We definitely got the feeling they wanted us to return. And our server Hunter was so friendly and helpful. When we were struggling to make a decision (we can be picky!) he came up with just the right suggestions. And on top of it all, the prices were reasonable. Just overall a wonderful experience and I'd highly recommend The Original Pancake House.

First and foremost I want to give huge shout out to Matthew, the hostess. He immediately greeted us before even walking in and his energy is unmatched. That guy is a gem please keep him around. Jennifer our server was great, she explained the menu perfectly and gave a recommendation for the hacienda Benedict. The food was so delicious, the atmosphere was just right and being from Austin, TX I felt very welcomed in the city of Dallas!

This place was amazing! Highly recommend. Freshly squeezed orange juice for all the pulp lovers. They let me create my own breakfast taco: egg, potato, chorizo, cheese. Literally the best pancakes I’ve ever had in my life!

It is faster to add yourself to the waitlist for the restaurant on Yelp BEFORE you arrive!!! 🙌🏾 The Pumpkin Pancakes are so good I ate half of them with no syrup and just the whipped cream! The Banana Pancakes are just as amazing! The omelette is baked so if you like a harder scramble on your eggs, you should remember to ask to cook it longer! Bomb! Spinach, cheddar, and mushroom with ham and bacon added! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥 The service was fast and our waitress Amanda T. was a pro! 💪🏽❤️🙌🏾 Definitely recommend for breakfast!!!

We were lucky and seated immediately on a Sunday morning around 930am. I got the meat lovers omelet, side of cheese grits and Belgian waffle. It was delicious. Kiara provided superb customer service. This is a spot we can definitely check out again when in Dallas
