Sweet Georgia Brown's is the best soul food I have ever sunk my teeth into! If I could give a higher rating I would. For those of you who had a bad experience so sorry, but my experience has been great every time. The pork chops are delicious, the cabbage and Black Eyed Peas were my favorite vegetables there, but the Cabbage werr a little over cooked, but still delicious! The ribs are good and tender. I also love the fried chicken and my favorite meat is the catfish with the homemade tartar sauce! I bought a pint of tartar sauce and brought it home and fried fish and ate it with it. It was so good I sat and ate it with a spoon alone! I crave for this food at this place and make a trip there every time when I go to Dallas. I wish I had this place near my home. Hot tub very most appealing and attractive place to eat but who cares because the food is so delicious!

The food reminds me of my mom's cooking! It's SO GOOD! The food Hugs you with each bite! The portions are big and will fill you up! All of the employees were nice and welcoming. It's worth the drive. It's worth the 20 minute wait in line. I'll definitely be back! 🖤✊🏾
Smothered and covered turkey legs with gravy, falls off the bone every time. Greens are seasoned to perfection, yams are good too. Lines are usually long but the service is fast. Whenever you’re in the Dallas area, try this soul food place out and you’ll be back.
Food was so good I ate half my brisket before even taking a pic! Couldn’t tell you the exact price since I wasn’t the one paying, it’s not a cheap place to eat but it’s definitely worth it. Brisket falls apart, tender n juicy n the fat melts like butter. The cabbage, oh my goodness the cabbage, I was so pleased and let out a squeal of joy every time I got me a bite. The yams were okay and my black eyed peas aren’t pictured but I’m sure they are yummy but I got so full off the brisket n cabbage I’ll have to eat those later. At least try it once and customer service was wonderful too!
If you are looking for some good soul food. Wait, I mean, bomb soul food, then this is the place to go. The portion is large. The taste is on point. The people are nice. I have so much food left enough to eat for at least two days.

Don't let this little secret mecca of soul and comfort food get out to the world!!! Holy cow this place is awesome!!
I've been coming here for 13 years and so happy to walk through the door each time. 99% of the time we are the only white folks standing in line. Don't take that the wrong way. That means the food is being done RIGHT when the local community flocks there to get some comfort food.
You better get there early and bring an appetite. Servings are dished out in copious amounts in a takeaway container because they know you'll be taking home leftovers. Get the greens!!!! You'll thank me for it. If you like hot links, they have a solid kick to them. Beef is fall apart tender.
The only downside is that the cornbread is unsweetened and a bit dry at times. Other than that, this is my go to spot when I'm hungry and looking for some gluttony.
Get there before 1700, or you'll be waiting while they do shift change. And unless you get there before noon on a Sunday, you'll want to wait until after 1400 because the line is around the building after church.
One word to the wise.... When the meat is gone, it's gone. They cook enough for the day and when they run out you better have another choice ready.
It's a greasy spoon diner limited seating post covid so most orders are to go. The quality and quantity of food is superb. I'm literally able to get 3 meals from every plate I purchase there. It's a Dallas staple located on a main thoroughfare but in the hood because that's where the best food is.

Food was great! Cabbage, mashed potatoes, gravy, and polish sausage were my favorite. But the service is really what stood out to me. The staff were friendly and ensured we had a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommend!
I've always enjoyed this place. The prices have gone up the past few years, but the quality is still the same. I probably won't be back for a while as there are other soul food options available closer to home with no line or shift change delay.
Down home soul food restaurant in the inner city (southern sector of Dallas). There were many selections to choose from, the food was fresh and hot, service was top notch. There aren't a lot of dining tables which leads me to believe that many patrons prefer carryout. I'll be back!
