We really enjoyed our food, cheese ravioli and spaghetti with meatballs. Service was good, the atmosphere was nice, a bit busy for me. Was pretty busy, the wait was not extensive.

I've been several times with family and friends at the old Oak Lawn location and this is the best restaurant in Dallas and its not even close. Lorenzo is a great, his staff is always professional and the food quality is on 5 star level. You can't beat this place for the price.

Stopped by this evening for dessert. Old school feel and very authentic! Had the cheesecake and it was very good! Had live music playing. Enjoyed a chianti with my dessert which was very good. Different vibe than I am used to but really enjoyed the experience.

This place is great! We came here as a very large group after a wedding. The manager was there and attended to all needs! Love the decor. the service was awesome, and the food was delicious. Will be back!

Large, but somehow intimate, space decorated in what can only be called a baroque style, with statuary, painted ceilings, and loads of fresh flowers. Perfect for special occasions, romantic evenings, or any night out. The is perfectly prepared Italian standards. Their freshly baked bread is a treat. Be careful in ordering appetizers - they're delicious and filling. Very reasonable prices. When you're ready for Italian, go get some at this cozy gem of a restaurant.

The bread they start out with is good, soft, dense, warm and fresh. The service was the best I've had in a long time, very attentive and always noticing when I needed more water and I never had to ask for more which I feel like is rare. Our pastas we ordered were delicious, the Alfredo definitely tasted fresh and house made. The caesar salad dressing was house made and fresh, creamy. The live singer was so good that it sounded just like listening to old records, we had to ask to make sure it was still him singing and not prerecorded. Definitely check this place out when you're craving some Italian, or even when you're not.

The service and food were top-notch. I had a classic Italian dish and my husband had the duck and risotto... Both were divine. They seemed to have a wide selection of wines. The owner was present and working just like everyone else. There was live music (a female singer), which I normally don't enjoy at a restaurant, but she sounded amazing and wasn't too loud or disruptive. Can't wait to visit Dallas so we can eat here again!

This place is absolutely amazing. Best service . Excellent food!! Just beautiful! We had a group of 12 and were served with perfection!! 100% will be back! They were the most accommodating restaurant I have ever been to!! Thank you so much for a wonderful meal.

The food was delicious. I had the chicken parmesan over angel hair pasta. I definitely want to try many other dishes. Everything looked amazing. The atmosphere is a lot of fun! I hope to return when they have live music. The service was top-notch; attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Some of the best food in town! We found the place in 2011, and go back when we can...I highly recommend it.
Tammy McKinney
My food was wonderful, our waiter was attentive and adorable AND the live music was extra! Four stars because they didn't have the greatest Cabernet choices.

Always excited when I get the opportunity to dine in Dallas with Lorenzo. My friend, Chip, turned 50 & Lorenzo made our night very special despite being "wall to wall" with customers. Enjoyed terrific music, wonderful food, & wine. Any bad review of this place - "doesn't have a clue?" This is the most special Italian restaurant in all of Dallas!
Becky Presnall Pair
My favorite place! We drive from Wylie to have dinner here. The food, the service and the entertainment are the best!
Mark Story
Excellent service & food. The place was packed all night including the bar. They have a live keyboardist/singer who was very good and not too loud or intrusive. Excellent Dinner.
Leonard Jimenez
Over priced, poor food, tea tasted like it was from a can quality and rude wait staff! Then got home and was sick from the food.
David Betts
Love the food here it’s the best in Dallas and the staff is great
Casey Bates
One of our favorite places. We had our rehearsal dinner here before our wedding. Food is always amazing and the staff is on point.

Everyone I know likes this restaurant. I had eaten at Bellini's about a year ago and was very unimpressed, so last night decided to try it again. Wish I had gone to McDonalds instead! Was served bread that was warmish, it was odd like it had been microwaved. I ordered a Caesar salad and the hard center of the lettuce was actually served on my plate along with 1 crouton that the waitress was very excited to tell me it was homemade. Go to Kroger's and get a bag of croutons, they have much more taste and will not break your teeth. Next I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs because how can you screw up spaghetti...right! Wrong! It was so odd tasting and had weird huge vegetables in it, like a half of a huge carrot and a large slice of zucchini, there was something else but I just asked for a to go box and threw it in the dumpster when I got home. Waste of $40.00....I will not second guess myself and go back again

Great food, beautiful decor! i Love the chicken piccata...they never disappoint!

The food is absolutely amazing! I should also unlike the LITs are also the bestest in town, Lorenzo greets every customer and wants to exceed expectations of each guest the waitress staff is also super sweet. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I went with great friends and they go there often. They took me there for my Birthday. It was awesome. The nicest place I have ever been too! The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. I also want to say "Thanks" for the Birthday gift you brought me, absolutely delicious!

Wow! We lucked up when we stopped here! Old-school Italian dive with awesome food and great atmosphere. The one-man band was surprisingly good. Lasagne and shrimp scampi are as tasty as anywhere.
Ashley Ramage
Amazing atmosphere. Great staff, very attentive. AMAZING FOOD! The bruschetta was to die for! Could have been my meal. Go hungry! The bread with olive oil and balsamic dip will change your life!

We always enjoy our meals here—good food and service, and reasonably priced. The outside is very plain and the inside is a little over the top! But unlike most restaurants, the staff is always the same, which we believe, indicates that the restaurant is well managed by the ever present owner.

We love Bellini’s! Love everything we have had including chicken, veal, pasta dishes and the pizza. The home made bread and olive oil is superb. The service is wonderful and the ambiance is well cozy and takes you back in time. Love to take our children and grandchildren here!!!!!

My favorite eatery in Dallas. I have sampled many of the dishes and found them all to be superb. Lorenzo di Lorenzo, owner, is a gracious host as are all his waitstaff. Live music Tues thru Sat nite definitely adds to the ambience. Very romantic spot to take that special someone.
Danny Glenn
Very good! Great staff! We had the Chicken Parmesan and it was very good! The musicians we very good entertainers as well. Great location and great service.
Danny and Kathryn Glenn -Fort Worth, Texas

Bellini's is a unique hidden gem. The atmosphere is unique and can feel slightly cheesy. But the people are genuine.

Staff here is always nice and super friendly.

Food options are plenty! I have never had a bad dish here and our groups have always been satisfied with the quality and price.

The two year old loves the live music option as well!

Will be back!
Peggy Moir Steele
Horrid!. Couldn't even finish the food or the wine! The onion soup tasted like beef soup with half the pepper shaker in it and it was cold. The Chicken Piccata sauce tasted and looked like lemon flavored flour. The chicken was DRY. The wine was nasty. Oh- and the wait staff should probably be informed they can be heard when they yell into the kitchen from the dining room. Will never go back.
Kim W
Great!. Stumbled on to this gem but will definately be back! We took our teens and all four of us had a great meal. From the bread, to the Caesar salad to the chicken Parmesan, veal florentin, and chicken Marsala it was all great. The combination of flavors were amazing! Service was great, prices good, atmosphere cozy, a definate new date night site for my hubby and I!
Gina
Everything was horrible from a very flat drink to the long wait to get appetizer and the creme brulee was so bad that one bite was all I could take. Never turned food away but it was absolutely terrible
Dana
Horrible!!! Service was bad, food was bad...best part was the bread. Very disappointed that this place came recommended. I don't normally talk bad about restaurants but I'm very sad we had to sit thought this....
Colin C
We left. We waited 10 mi.... We left.

We waited 10 minutes to not be served. They clearly inflated the reviews of this place. The bad reviews defend what we saw. It looked a little dirty. The greeter is the bar tender and the small talk person to accommodate the very very slow service. I cannot comment on the food quality because we left before hand. They brought us an empty bucket of ice, a plate of oil and never said a word to us besides "you don't need anything right?" The waitress' poor service and the very slow wait caused us to go down the street. It was worth it :)
Nancy
Awesome!. Order the 'Chilean Sea Bass' for dinner, it is a special most of the time, most excellent! For lunch, 'Eggplant Parmesean', wonderful! Mr. D' Lorenzo is very welcoming. Greta, our waitress has a charming personality. All the workers at Bellini's are nice. The bread is fabulous. You don't leave hungry. We visit monthly, it is a treat!

Italian food was great, but could use some etiquette. We were told they "needed the table" after they handed us the wrong bills. On top of that, bathrooms resemble a gas station on the side of the road... Makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like.

It's everything I love and hate about a true Italian meal.. The Maître d' (also the owner) greets patrons at the door with a warm smile, a fantastic suit and a suave italian accent, then escorts you to one of their many bistros tables. The humble facade stands in stark contrast to its ornate and romantic interior. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and professional and the menu offers most of the expected classic Italian entrees. Of note is their grilled bread and garlic parmesan dipping oil, which could down in the "best bread ever" hall of fame.
BUT, coincidentally, I found myself asking the same question I did while in Italy- "Am I ever going to eat?" The food took almost an hour. This is par for the course, if not better, than most restaurants in Italy. But unfortunately this isnt Europe- I work on Saturdays and we eat before 10pm. While the food was good, I don't think this restaurant will fit into my schedule very often : (

Bellinies is a very romantic restarant in the Oaklawn neighborhood near the melrose hotel always a local favorite great pasta ,seafood, and veal . Moderate prices and a full bar

This delightful italian eatery is amongst one of the finest in downtown Dallas. The ambience is somewhat reminiscent of my travel to Naples, Italy many years ago. It has a certain flair for romantic and casual settings. The appertizer I chose was their fried calamari. It was done to perfection. Light and without the heavy hand of salt but just a touch of chopped italian basil. For the main entree, it was the quintessential eggplant parmesan. I chose tbis particular dish because most "Italian" restaurants would fail to capture the fine textures and flavors I once tasted in Italy. However, the usual case of a successful restaurant would also be able to create the best Italian restaurants has to offer. The score for their rendition of the eggplant parmesan is 8.5 out of a possible 10. My rating is due in part of their presentation, flavor, and quality.
Overall, I would highly recommend this Italian Ristorante to travelers and locals alike.

Excellent!!!!. I decided to take an out of town friend after researching and reading great reviews and was not disappointed! This place was great! The face of the restaurant was very inviting. Inside was romantic, dimly lit with candles, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra crooned in the background. The true Italian owner who seated us was great with his Goodfella mystic. The waitress was Italian and even some of the customers were Italian, which was cool listening to them speak! We had a wonderful Sicilian wine that the waitress recommended. The fresh bread was phenomenal. The house salad was simple but very good. I had lobster ravioli, fantastic, and my friend had crab stuffed shrimp which was good, but after she tried my ravioli she said she wished she had ordered that.
We both ordered Italian cheesecake to take home and it was fabulous! The check was a pleasant surprise as the prices were very moderate. I will rave about this place to everyone I know! Thanks Lorenzo for a wonderful dining experience!

I have been told about this place for over a year now, finally made it there. Boy am I sad that we didn't discover this place 7 years ago! Food was AMAZING! I had chicken fettuccini Alfredo, he had eggplant parm! Both unbelievable! Also had tirimasu & cheesecake, both extremely authentic! Helps to have true Italians serving you & hanging out at the bar. This will be an often repeat for us. Best authentic Italian, also extremely reasonably priced.

I was sceptical, but proven wrong. The food was amazing. My husband had the sea bass on angle hair, I had the filet of sole....amazing. Our 8 yr old said it was the best pizza he has had 'in his life'. Great good, great service-family owned. And yes, the owner does look like an Italian Elvis. We will be back.

SLOWWWW. OMG. Over an hour from the time the food was ordered until it arrived. One person is greeter, bartender, small talk person and waiter. Atmosphere was nice, but too long to get food and the food was rather bland. I had the Veal Parm - very boring taste, was barely warm. Couldn't send it back, it would've taken another hour...

A friend and I wanted Italian tonight so I read about Bellini's here and off we went to judge for ourselves. Its a bad decor neighborhood joint with a bad Elvis impersonator working the door. That said, the food was terriffic !! Onion soup was a little too oregano-ey. The mussels were to die for. I had the pizza which could not have been better. The toppings I ordered were over sized and fresh. My friend had the sauce with sausage and was over the top. Travis, our waiter was very funny and knowledgable and attentive. Was very good at selling up. But this selling up was appreciated. We will ask for your section next time also, thank you for a great first visit there. Highly recommended.

Nice Sauce. I went for a birthday so had the opportunity to sample a few things from each person. Everyone is served a small loaf of bread to be dipped (if you so choose) in an olive oil, garlic, parmesan, balsamic mixture. They keep the bread coming throughout the meal. Loved the fried cheese---trust, it's not the freezer to fryer stuff. Enjoyed the Gratin Onion Soup, they put a twist on the original by adding Italian herbs and crushed red pepper so it's got a little kick to it. I ordered the Pizza Margherita and added grilled chicken. The sauce, to me, was just right on the flavor, though, a little heavy. The service is a little less hurried, so you may want to consider leaving yourself extra time if you go at dinner and expect the meal to take some time. The chocolate cake...TO DIE FOR.

The view is the best thing about this place. Other than the olive oil for the bread it was wonderful! Food was very bland!

Best Italian Food. We had the best meal in a long time here. Lasagna was fantastic, and my wife had a wonderful chicken pasta dish. The prices are very reasonable. We also got drinks from the bar that were phenomenal. Come hungry, because there is a lot of food. Also, even though they were shorthanded when we came, the waiter was beyond amazing. Truly a gem.

Great local Italian. We visited Bellini's on a Sat about 6:30, before the crowd (altho the place was never more than 3/4 full) and enjoyed wonderfully sensitive service by David, visiting with friends. The pasta is about perfect, the veal reliable, and the sole special was the best fish dish I've tasted locally in years. The evening was marred somewhat by the arrival of an overly loud group of 10 adjacent to our table (why do large groups always believe they have the right to disrupt the dining experience however they choose?) Varied selections mean you will find something you like. Go with the recommended desserts; the brulee needs work. Caveat: avoid a chair sitting on the traffic aissles. I was bumped repeatedly by patrons and staff alike throughout the meal. Overall experience though, suggests we will be back again, soon. We have found our local Italian spot.

A good find that made for a special night. My wife and daughter and I went on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We were greater warmly by David who proceeded to make suggestions about the menu and then serve us with welcoming flare. What would have been an ordinary post holiday meal turned into a special evening. With Dean Martin on the stereo we enjoyed fettuchini Alfredo, veal Marsala, and searedchicekn. We also had an individual meatball and grilled onion pizza for an appetizer. All were wonderful. We highly recommend this place and David.

Dr D. I love this place. The service is great, food is consistently wonderful and staff is accomodating. Whether we are 2 or 10, they easily adapt to our needs.

Go for the food. Bellini's is in a strip mall off Oak Lawn; if you did not know it was there you would probably miss it. Inside, the decor is stuck in the seventies. But the food was fantastic, and when you're eating who notices the decor? Their bread was first-class, and the oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping was divine. While the salad was only average, the shrimp scampi was one of the best I've ever had. The shrimp was tender, the pasta perfectly cooked and the veggies were firm. My wife's veal piccata was absolutely great. She had creme brule for desert and was totally pleased. And the prices are very resonable.

Downside? The service was not so good. The waiter forgot what I ordered the first time and had to come back to the table to ask. The entree he recommended was unavailable, so he had to come back to the table and ask her to reorder. It took a very long time to get service, and the place was not that crowded or understaffed. I am not sure if the issues were back of the house or front of the house, but I think it is a mix. I hope this was just a fluke, because I do like this place a lot. Enough to go back again, soon.

Urbanspoon strikes again. This place is a winner. Don't pay attention to the exterior. I was one of three patrons when I walked in at 8pm on a Monday. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was outstanding. O had the chicken Bellini and it was tender and flavorful. If you're looking for good Italian cuisine in Dallas, you will be pleased.

Residents of Dallas are missing out on an awesome authentic Italian restaurant. This place should be packed. Every dish we had was fantastic and we grew up in New Jersey. So we know our Italian food. Even the salad was perfectly dressed - not swimming in dressing. The Marsala is savory like it should be - not sweet. The Shrimp Provencal was truely yummy. And the best part - they won't through you out on the patio if your attire doesn't meet their standards.

Love it!!. We love this place and go often. Living in downtown Dallas we have so many places to chose from and this is one of our favorites. The owner is wonderful and the wait staff very attentive. Warm bread warms the heart and the food is great. I have never had anything I did not like here. Don't look at the exterior, just walk in and you will be amazed.

What a great place!. I was fortunate to make the acquaintance of Lorenzo, the owner, not too long ago. And I'm so happy I did, otherwise I would have never experienced this diamond in the rough! Outside leaves something to be desired, but inside more than makes up for it! Abundant seating at the bar, a romantic atmosphere in the dining area, attentive service not only from the wait staff but the owner himself, oh....and did I mention the food? Delicious and abundant portions at very reasonable prices, and in Oaklawn no less!

An experience like this reaffirms my belief in supporting local business as much as possible, everything was fantastic!

Best palce to eat. I loved this place. Great food and service. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed.
PS The prices were very reasonable. I would recomend this to all my firends.

I loved this place! The service was great! The bread was so warm and fresh! The food was excellent! They had a good wine list and my friends and I walked away very full and happy! We will definitely go back! Highly recommended!

Hated the place. Came one more time with best friend. They screwed up her order ( veal instead of chicken). I got fish and unimpressed
