We were trying to decide where to have dinner when I remembered that Gloria's was not very far from Bishop arts. I had not been there since they moved into their new building. They have really done a fantastic job of fixing this place up. It is a two-story restaurant in a converted. The lighting is low to set a wonderful atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us frequently. The food was delicious. There are so many different things to choose from. Be careful though, some of them do have quite a bit of spice to them.

We took my mom here for her birthday dinner. Super busy night, but the staff was competent and kept things rolling at a brisk pace. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. It was better than I remembered the last time I visited. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience.

We were in town from Wisconsin visiting family. Whenever we visit ..we always have dinner at Gloria's. Like always...the food was amazing and our server, Ana was outstanding. Ana made sure that all 10 in our party were satisfied with our meals along with the service we received. The food and the service couldn't have been any better. If you've never been to Gloria's at Bishop Arts...treat yourself and stop in for an amazing meal and service.

Food and drinks were delicious! I was nervous at first because of the recent reviews about this location, but I’m glad I still tried the place out. The ambience, food, and location was nice. No complaints whatsoever. I will be back! Leo was an amazing server as well. This will be my go to place when I come home to Dallas.

Portions align with prices and service is speedy. My snapper was delicious - came on a bed of rice and was topped with two shrimp and a lovely sauce. The hubs got the quail and thought it was very good. Our friends' meals were also good. We especially liked the fresh salsa and black bean dips that accompanied the tortilla chips.

One of the very best chain restaurants in Dallas. It was my first visit to this particular location, and they did not disappoint in the slightest. The food was fantastic (not one person in my party of 8 had anything bad to say about their order), and our waiter was awesome. Kind, courteous, and attentive. The atmosphere is fun and inviting as well. The parking sucks, though, as your only options are a garage that is a fair walk away, or valet parking at the restaurant.

Hadn't been to Gloria's in a while. Sat at the bar for a quick lunch. I ordered the chicken flautas and the Salmon Chimichiurri Salad. I also ordered a regular Mojito.
My bartender was great. He was attentive and polite. He worked the bar very well, and my drink was on point. Took my food a min to come out. My flautas were good and hot. But my salad not so much. My salmon was so dry, and I'm not sure if the recipe to the whole salad changed, but I just couldn't eat it. 😔 I think sometimes things can be hit or miss. The service was a hit. My salad was definitely a miss. This location overall has good service and good vibes. I still recommend this place .

This was the best meal I have had in Dallas so far. I ordered the carne asada which was well seasoned and tender. The chimichurri would have benefited from a bit of heat but it was great!
The passion drink withthequila and passion fruit purée was delicious and refreshing.

As for the food it is really good very tasty.
As for the serving they could be a little bit more proactive. I saw a lot of standing while people were eating, which is completely OK because I used to work in the industry, but not standing around, staring at the customers…. And that I think I have an uncomfortable problem with, but other than that it was a good. The atmosphere of the Decorations were nice to look at, never dull moment with him the droves of customers that were coming in in different cultures, white black, Hispanic, Asian, all of the above.
I gave it a 4 simply for service.
Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t go back!

Last night (February 24) 8 ladies elected this restaurant as our place to meet up for drinks and dinner to let our hair down for some talking and laughing. Shortly after we had ordered our drinks and entree manager came over and asked could we be more quit. As I continue to sit there hearing laughter and conversations from other tables around us I asked our waitress for the manager. I asked him why did he ask us to be quit when every other table was just as loud. We were upstairs. He responded he did mean anything by it just asked it we could lower the noise. Please how can you tell us to lower our noise when all other tables are noisy too. So we won't be back as a group. It was 8 of us we all brought drinks all their drinks about $9 so that was $80. We all ordered food the average bill for each of us was $30 times 8 $240. Some of these ladies had never been to this location we have been to the one in Addison and Arlington many times as a group and never been asked to lower our voices. With this area making changes trying to be the oak cliff uptown need to get use to the noise if you want to make money. Very disappointed!

I would have to say that the food was great, but for some reason we had a fly that would not stop bothering us! Very annoying! Atmosphere was a bit uncomfortably warm. To add to this we had paid for the couple that was with us but the waiter came running outside After us as if we didn't pay our bill. What he was really trying to do was to demand a tip. The couple with us didn't hear us when we asked them to cover the tip But nonetheless, you don't go running after your party demanding to be tipped. I could be wrong and if I am then forgive me but I think that was a bit embarrassing towards the waiter not so much myself but for himself. Thanks Gina....

I came here for my birthday and from the beginning they gave us the run around on a table. They didn’t accept my friends ID, or my sisters and both had other forms for reference; they also didn’t even ask about the other forms of referemce! My server was very Anal about us ordering a meal per person which was odd to me? I complained to management during my visit and it got better however my birthday was a a distaster. I like the other locations better in DALLAS!

Glorias is known for a restaurant to spend a great weekend at. And maybe brunch during the week. The food is A-mazing. Like always there has to be a but, the policy “can’t be seated till until 8% of the party arrives” is not to my liking of 23 of the people who had to WAIT to know how much time we had to wait. It makes no sense and has no logic, to have to come and then wait, to who knows how many minutes or hours. But like I said overall the waitress is wonderful and so is the food.

I love Gloria’s. I usually eat at the original one on Lemmon Ave. but met a friend for lunch at this location and it was just as good. We sat at the bar and the service was excellent and very fast. The bar was also very clean which is a must for me because I love to sit at the bar and eat. Had the lunch tostada plate with chicken and I would definitely recommend that! My favorite is the black bean dip they give you with the chips and salsa!!

Gloria's has good margaritas, excellent complimentary bean dip and salsa to go with their chips. The food while a little pricey for Latin, is very good. Gloria's is a good place to unwind during happy hour.

Will always stop here while in Dallas.. If you want some of the best customer service in Dallas, as well as fantastic Mexican cuisine- this place is a must! We've never had a server who wasn't absolutely top notch. The food is always great, the atmosphere inviting and luxurious, and the location great in the hip Bishop Arts area. Five stars!

Incredible Ceviche & more. Made a recent day trip to Fair Park in Big D and of course we had to lunch @ one of our favorite "food stands" in the Cliff. Team Gloria's delivered a great Ceviche platter to our table. Great Food, Great Service, Great Building and Great Libations. Not used to the Valet parking since we are country folk but it was almost a necessity since surrounding parking was tight and very limited (Beer Festival down the street?). Another great experience we had @ Gloria's and we appreciate that experience since we work hard in the "hash slinging" business ourselves!

Service ok. But the food each time is worse. Always cold. Steaks are thin and even when you requested medium grilled it is aways as hard as a shoe.<br/>The only nice cooked and regularly well done here is the huge "burrito". Salmon is flavorless, so the pork. <br/>I tried to give a second chance but Gloria's at Rockwall was as bad as this. Only recommended for happy hour. I not ever coming back.

I love the mojitos there, and thequail is good, but the portions are ridiculous for the price! I refuse to ever have dinner here again just because of the lack of value. I'm mostly angry at the thimble full of rice they serve as a side! I'll meet friends for drinks and good atmosphere y no mas!

Best Black Bean Dip Period!. The food is really good, the black bean dip is the best! The atmosphere is great too. It's in an old firehouse in the Bishop Arts District.

Parking nightmare!. We live in Oak Cliff and visited the old Gloria's at least once a week. After trying to get in on a Wednesday night and facing a 45 minute wait, we quickly realized that this would not be possible at the new location. Not to mention the mandatory valet parking is a HUGE turnoff! The Valet doesn't start till late in the day, so Lunch had been our meal of choice. Today (Friday...104 degrees outside) we were told at 2pm we would have to pay an extremely sweaty valet man to park our car in an empty lot. Really Gloria's??...our choice was that.. or park in Bishop arts and walk three blocks in the heat?? Your food is just not that good to have to put up with the new location and the rules that go along with that!

Great new location!. Gloria's new location in a historic fire station in Bishop Arts District is so charming. The two-story building offers lots of seating options including tables by the large windows, comfy stools at the large bar, and patio seating outside and on the second floor. I am a fan of the Salvadoran-influenced food. The warm bean dip and salsa with chips served to all guests is too die for -- I could make a meal of the bean dip alone. The quesadillas (spinach) are one of my favs -- they also have salads that are so beautiful and flavorful you will think you are eating at a resort spa!

The first is still the best. This was the first Gloria's, and it's still the best of the lot. Reasonably priced, though parking can be tricky on a busy night. Don't go here expecting killer decor-go here expecting great Mexican and South American food.
