Review Gorji Restaurant - Dallas

I cannot say enough how much I love Gorji’s. This is my husband’s and my go-to restaurant to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, or just having a nice date night. The food and wine is always amazing. The service is the best in the city. You can’t get any better.

Food: Good; Ambience: Good; Service: Excellent. There are only about 5 tables at this restaurant. No walk ins. It’s very personalized and the chef will play the perfect host. You have an option of a 3 course or 4 course meal(with salad). The appetizers, salad and dessert were great. However, I didn’t think the lamb entree and quail was exceptional. Maybe it was good but after tasting the appetizers I probably expected much more. Must go.

This was our first time here and definitely will not be the last. It is such a wonderful, intimate atmosphere with out of this world food. Often you go to a new restaurant and there is something you don’t care for, but not here. Everything was extraordinary! It makes for an awesome date night/special occasion or just some quiet dinner time place. Can’t recommend it enough!

We have been going to Gorji’s for many years and is absolutely one of our favorite restaurants. His attention to detail combined with his immense knowledge of how to use different flavors is unmatched! We have our anniversary dinner here every year and will continue to for years to come.

I've been wanting to try Gorji ever since moving to Dallas about a year ago. I'm sure the takeout menu is phenomenal but I like to see plating, the chef, etc. so I never ordered. I'm glad I finally got a table tonight, I couldn't of been more happy. Every dish I ordered was well thought out and executed to perfection. The only drawback is the price, which in all honestly isn't that bad but is still very high-end. For me this is a once a year type environment and I'd recommend the same mindset to anyone asking.

We have eaten at many excellent restaurants all over the world. Celebrated my birthday there. Have no words to describe this restaurant. In my opinion this was an experience I have never had anywhere. Service amazing. Food wow. Gorgi is something else his only goal is to make your dining experience special. Thank you for making this such a wonderful and very special evening. Do not miss trying this restaurant out you will not be disappointed.

5 stars are 5 stars to little as this is a 10 star restaurant. Chef Gorji's personality, and that of his staff makes this a place that is hard to leave. The food is imaginative and spectacular! Even though it has been a few years since we've been there he remembered us by name. Chef Gorji pairs his wine well with his imaginative style of cooking. Five tables, five clearly marked parking spots make for cozy, romantic ambiance! Reservations are required! Thank you Chef Gorji and James for a wonderful evening!

I’ve been returning to this restaurant for 15 years, even after moving out of state. Chef Gorji is a masterful chef and host at this intimate, fine-dining establishment. The prix-fixe menu is always different, yet always glows with his signature touches, much like fine art. His wine list is always creative, diverse, and delightful. A rare treat in this world of culinary franchises.

A true fine dining experience. Only five tables, reservations only, no televisions and a great relaxing atmosphere. One of the best fine dining restaurants not only in Dallas but all of Texas. Weekly changing menu with great service and a wide variety of excellent wines. Great interaction with the chef/owner too.

Gorji’s is a regular for our special occasions. Menu and service is impeccable, and any wine we might try is always a unique (and delicious) experience. Vegetarian options are available, and are often my first choice, even though his steaks consistently rank “Best in Dallas”.

The most excellent Fine Dining experience. Everything, right from the ambience, the personalized service, four course meal, wine selection and of course Chef Gorji's smile, humour and interactions with our party of four was exquisite and memorable. One wouldn't want to miss out on this even if you are visiting Dallas or are a local.

One of the best restaurants in Dallas. We have dined with Gorji’s on multiple occasions and he never disappoints. Recently we ordered takeaway to dine in our own home and everything was cooked exactly how we asked and packaged up perfectly. Chef Gorji even called us later in the evening to ask if everything turned out to our expectations, which is something you normally do not receive at other establishments. Either dining in the restaurant or at home our experience has always been top notch. He truly delivers an experience like no other.

Impeccable service and excellent food. We had one of the best meals in Dallas at Gorji. It is a small restaurant with only 5 tables each night so make sure to book ahead. The tables were spaced nicely apart to ensure social distancing. After each dish was served, the chef/owner would come out to check on us to make sure we enjoyed the dish! And let me assure you that every dish was a delight! We cannot wait to return.

This restaurant has been on my list of places to try for some time. On the website, I saw that I could order take out for some days in which the restaurant is not open. I called, and Chef Gorji walked me through my preferences. I had a scrumptious catfish appetizer, a savory pear salad, beef tenderloin and cheese dessert. The food tasted so great even after transporting it home, I decided to make reservations for my anniversary. Fortunately, there is reserved parking because it is difficult to find any parking at all. The atmosphere inside helped facilitate a romantic dinner with soft music and very attentive service from the waiter and Chef Gorji himself. I tried the lasagna appetizer, which was spiced very nicely. The cucumber and tomato salad was so fresh, you'd think the vegetables were picked that day. The pork chop was juicy and flavorful. The food and service were flawless, and I definitely recommend it.

Whether it’s dine in or take out, the food is always great and the service is impeccable. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but you get what you pay for and it was money well spent. I highly recommend this experience. Thank you Chef Gorji.

My husband and I had the extremely good fortune to attend a birthday dinner for my best friend on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Gorji's is a LOVELY restaurant! It is small, intimate, quiet and has a relaxing modern décor. Even though it is small, the plate glass windows give a wonderful illusion of space. The plants outside make a nice screen and let you feel like you are in a garden area. It is extremely clean as well! The food is, quite frankly, to die for. Chef Gorji is nothing short of a genius. His approach is unique and so very flavorful! His gorgonzola gnocchi is the best I have EVER tasted. All the dishes were perfectly cooked and beautifully plated. The appetizers were a mix of couscous, hummus, grape leaf rolls and homemade pita bread. Light and flavorful but not overpowering. I had a difficult time not eating the entire appetizer! For dinner, I had the salmon and shrimp with mashed potatoes over a bean I did not recognize. I wish I would have double checked to see what it was. What a treat! All the flavors paired so well together and the portions were just right. And oooohhhh those desserts! I had the flourless chocolate cake. I have had flourless chocolate cake many times before but this was the best I have ever had. That cake is dangerous. You will definitely want to have more than one slice if you have the room! His wine selection is fantastic as well! We were served a delicious Tempranillo, I believe a Cabernet Sauvignon, and I had a Chardonnay. I thought the Chardonnay was perfect. Lightly chilled with a lovely blend of oak and that distinctive buttery finish. So yummy. I wish we would have had time to try some of the other bottles! Chef Gorji is such a lovely person as well. He checked on all the guests frequently and made sure the evening was flowing as smoothly as possible. James, his waiter, is a delight! So sweet, funny, considerate and a consummate professional. He made our evening extra special. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! Dining at Gorji's is a true epicurean delight! If you are lucky enough to get a reservation, don't rush. Enjoy your dinner and all the wonderful flavors that come with it.

A big fan of Gorji’s! We used them even during the lockdown in 2020 where his takeaway food was perfection. For specialty menu items the meats were still cooked just how we requested and he is always so polite to ensure we experienced everything wonderfully. Recently went to eat in-restaurant and service was amazing. It was for a special occasion and he made sure that we got what we wanted. My spouse and I were really craving a menu item he had had in previous weekly menus and without hesitation he agreed (in advance) to prepare that dish in addition to what was on the week’s menu already. The food - every course - was amazing! So many wonderful flavors. His small staff were wonderfully polite and personable. Not to mention he himself was so great. He simply wants your experience to be perfect. Gorji’s is a true go-to Dallas staple for an intimate dining occasion.

Our dinner at Gorji Mediterranean Restaurant was wonderful! Chef Gorji is an amazing and talented chef. The food is delicious and the ambience in the restaurant is very nice. We are already looking forward to setting our next reservation! Chef Gorji really has created the best five star dinning experience in Dallas!

Chef Gorji is truly something special. His dishes reflect his art, hard work and even love. Everything we have eaten at his restaurant has been outstanding, and he makes us feel like we are his good friends. If they ever hand out gold medals for steak - first one should be his. You think you've had the best? Not if you haven't tried Gorji.

One of the best restaurants in Dallas. At 18 seats, this is a personal experience where you feel like you are having diner in Gorji's home. Each plate is exquisitely done. This is a rare gem, experience it for yourself.

Great exotic flavors with carefully cooked to perfection food. The wine selection is not huge, but the variety is excellent and just perfect. Tried a Lebanese red blend for the first time and was very happy with the choice. The service is great. And the chef took his time to come to the table and make sure all was as ordered. Definitely a hidden gem.
