Review Ruth's Chris Steak House - Dallas

My husband and I started a Thanksgiving tradition several years ago. We enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving lunch and always have enough for dinner. Ashanti took care of us this year and she was amazing. Her warm smile and attentiveness made our experience even more memorable. Everything from beginning to end was spectacular. We look forward to creating more memories at Ruth’s Chris!

My daughter referred me to take my husband for his birthday. Truly shocking how amazing everything was really good the atmosphere the servers were truly amazing. The food was just right, and they even made it extra special by giving us a cheesecake to split between my husband and I for his birthday. Very romantic. Thank you for a wonderful meal and evening.

We were in this evening for our 28th Anniversary and we left very pleased with our choice for dinner. From the moment we were greeted at the Vallet Stand all the way through the amazing dessert it was wonderful. Tom and the wait team were outstanding. Everyone wished us a happy Anniversary and made me feel very special. Tom was knowledgeable in wine choices and attended to our every request.

Just awesome! The whole experience. My husband and I were celebrating our 1-year wedding anniversary and Ruth’s Chris really made it special. Starting with our server, she was fantastic. Kaleigh was so sweet and friendly; and, she was super attentive the entire night. She was knowledgeable and helpful with the menu and she even offered to take a picture for our anniversary. Secondly, the food was superb. We each had a caesar salad and different kinds of steaks with shrimp. We also shared sides of mashed potatoes and mushrooms. All of which was absolutely delicious. We have zero complaints. We finished with a couple desserts that were also amazing. And, we each had a couple drinks, throughout our meal. All of which were great. Not enough good can be said! It really made our anniversary memorable and we’re so thankful to have chosen Ruth’s Chris. Thank you Kaleigh!! (:

We came to this restaurant over a year ago for our anniversary, and I want to say the food was so delicious and they gave us a complimentary cheesecake for our anniversary. The head waiter came by and showed us how to enjoy the meat so it can taste even better. We do recommend you make a reservation. But the experience was worth it.

We celebrated our 45 wedding anniversary there recently and were very impressed. The place was older, but very warm and welcoming. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent. We started with salads and ordered the Porterhouse for two with a side of asparagus. They had a special desert for us with the words Happy 45 anniversary for us at the end of the meal. We had a lovely time.

We had a wonderful family dinner with Whitney Body and Tom Stansfield as our waiters and “family mangers.” The steak and sea bass was perfect and the service was outstanding. We had a wonderful evening and can’t wait to return!

We came here to celebrate my husbands birthday. Whitney Body was our waitress and was Amazing. 10 + stars. She made us laugh n felt soo comfortable with us. If you come please request her I know we will for now on.

Food and services was top tier. Our waitress Whitney Body was very attentive. Will come back and ask for her.

Went there last night with a friend to celebrate her new job. We both had the 16-oz. ribeyes, which were excellent. She had the stuffed mushrooms and I had the sweet potato casserole and lyonnaise potatoes. My friend loved her mushrooms and the sweet potato casserole was to die for! In the past, I had always ordered the lyonnaise potatoes - the potatoes were sliced and fried with onions. The used to be awesome. I say “used to be” because now they’re made with fingerling potatoes instead of sliced potatoes. Word of advice: If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it! Those fingerling potatoes looked so sad and were so dry, I will never order them again. What a disappointment. After the meal, since we were celebrating my friend’s new job, I figured they’d take our dessert orders and then bring her dessert on a plate with “congratulations” written in chocolate on the plate. Nope. Instead they brought out a plate with “congratulations” written in chocolate and on the plate was a small bowl of vanilla ice cream and a pathetic little round pumpkin cheesecake. My friend doesn’t like pumpkin so she asked if I wanted it since I like pumpkin and how can you go wrong with pumpkin cheesecake, right? Wrong. It was the worst pumpkin cheesecake ever. I couldn’t even eat it and I’ll eat just about anything sweet. THEN the waiter came with the dessert menus. What? As I said before, take her dessert order first and let her order whatever dessert she likes and then bring it out with “congratulations” on the plate. As for me, I got the creme brulee and it was awesome. All in all, we had a great time and most of the food was what I have come to expect from Ruth’s Chris. But please bring back the “old” lyonnaise potatoes. Oh, yeah, and please throw away all those mini pumpkin cheesecakes. The Ruth’s Chris I’ve come to know and love is better than that. We decided on Ruth's Chris for our 24th Anniversary as opposed to 3 Forks because it is a bit more intimate, and I always thought that the service for special occasions was more personalized. I had the 16 oz prime ribeye, which was very good, along with lobster bisque and the lobster mac & cheese, also both very good. My wife had the filet with a salad (don't recall what kind) and the creamed spinach. We finished off with an apple tart of some kind and creme brulee. All very good. The disappointment came with the special occasion - which ended up being just dinner, nothing really special. I noted on the reservation that it was for our 24th anniversary, and our waiter (Tong) even asked if we were there for a special occasion, but nothing ever came of it. We have been there for our friend's anniversary, and I recall some rose petals (maybe?) on the table, and for birthdays where they sprinkle some confetti. These are little things, but it marks the occasion nicely, and not as just another night out eating a nice meal. None of that occurred. In fact, after Tong asked about any special occasions, nothing occurred and it was never mentioned again. Again, good food, just nothing 'special' to speak of.

Everything was great! From the valet to the server... Chuck provided exceptional service! It was me and my boyfriend one year anniversary and they made it one to remember. The food... OMG delicious. I recommend the stuffed chicken and lobster Mac and cheese

Brought my son here for his 11th birthday. The experience was phenomenal. Our waiter Chuck was outstanding made sure we had nothing but the best service. The food was also amazing. Could someone please fedex me a gallon of that lemonade?!

Great dining experience (as usual) with family. Chelsea was our wait person and she exceeded our expectations. The food was over the top. I highly recommend Rurh's Chris for any occasion!

Celebrated a friend's birthday and was pleasantly surprised when she received her dessert on a plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate. Nice touch! Food and service were awesome! Loved the atmosphere and that it wasn't too dark. He lady singing at the bare was really good.

Our server Bob was amazing everything was great. Fabulous service and food. My husband's birthday was the best. Thank you guys.

Took my wife for our anniversary, it was our first time at Ruth's Chris, I will say the Service was great! Other than that, it was a once in a lifetime experience. The food was bland no flavor to the steak or sides. The men's bathroom was gross. I've see gas station bathrooms better kept than this one. III FORKS, and Capital Grill have this place beat hands down. Will not return.

My waiter BG was friendly, attentive and helpful. BG (waiter) and Chris (manager) gave me another reason to love Dallas and Ruth’s Chris!

Had Valentines dinner here and the food was amazing (best filet and lobster tails ever) and the service was impeccable. Will definitely be coming back!

Love the flavor of the steaks, perfectly cooked. Bananas foster cheesecake was amazing.

Steak was one of the best, taste and tender. Nice touch for our Anniversary. Price on the high side.
