Review Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar - Dallas

We had a wonderful visit for my best friends birthday here. We were greeted immediately and sat outside. The atmosphere is relaxed yet elevated. The service from our waiter Will was Fabulous. He did not disappoint with any of his recommendations. Our favorite was the roasted chicken with whipped potatoes, which they split for us. The complimentary birthday chocolate chip cookie with milk was delicious & an amazing treat from St Ann’s Restaurant. Can’t wait to come back again :)

Beautiful restaurant with large outdoor patio. Loved the aesthetics of the whole place. We came with a large group for dinner. Delicious shared plates and apps easy for a group. We got tuna tostadas and corn queso dip which were awesome! The burger was also very good and my friends loved the poke bowl. The entrees were pretty good portions so we could have probably shared. The chicken fried steak was large and flavorful but our least favorite of what we ordered. I’d love to try more entrees on the menu and would definitely return. We had a new waitress who was training (and told us that) so we give her grace with a large group…I would imagine service is normally top notch. I loved the cocktail: The one with tequila. The sangria was just okay….sangria needs fruit in it to be called a sangria! ;)

Birthday dinner with a reservation for 5:30pm on a weekday. Traffic was a nightmare at this time and location. Just keep that in mind when making a reservation. The valet was free, just be sure to tip the driver! The Prix Fixe menu is moderately priced and appropriately portioned. Be sure not to be super hungry if you choose the Prix Fixe option. The Happy Hour appetizers and cocktails are fantastic! I recommend the one with Tequila and Hibiscus. Overall it was a good experience!

Went for our first time and the food and atmosphere were great! Great establishment with historic roots! They have a gorgeous patio and interior. The seats were ergonomic and comfortable which always makes for a nice meal. We were immediately greeted by pleasant hostesses and bartenders upon arrival. The bartender was knowledgeable about the menu and the area and we can’t wait to come back for happy hours! The vodka drink (lavender lemonade cocktail), the rum drink, and the mezcal drink were all delicious! Highly recommend the hummus, chicken fried steak, and braised beef tacos! We also tried the big biscuits with miso butter and hot honey which were a delicious, perfect starter! They are literally so big that you can save half for a perfect breakfast the next morning! We went on a Saturday night around 6 and it wasn’t too loud or crowded which is always nice. Our entrees came out super fast (about 5 minutes after the appetizers) and I will definitely make sure to tell them to hold off on putting in the entree orders next time so we have more time to clear some plates and avoid having to reach over everything. However, food coming out too soon is way better than having to wait too long! Other than that, we will definitely be back and can’t wait to bring friends for brunch!

This cute restaurant is located in the heart of Uptown. No need to worry about parking, there’s a parking garage conveniently located near it. I had such a great time here. The ambiance and the service is top notch. They have a wonderful patio for outdoor seating and large windows inside. We had so much food during our visit and I don’t really have any complaints. For appetizers we had the fried calamari and spinach dip. We also had a glass of Rose and their spicy margarita. For dinner my friend had short rib tacos, while I had the roasted (half) chicken, cauliflower, and sweet potatoes. My chicken could’ve used a dash more salt, but all of the food was tasty with generous portions. Our balance came to $106, so about $50 a piece. I cannot wait to visit in the spring/summer and to try their brunch.

The outdoor patio was very cozy. Our waitress was attentive. However, we were not served the wines expected. Would have been nice to be given another option vs being served their last minute change up.

I am giving 5 stars for the service! Our waiter was absolutely phenomenal! I tried everything at the table that the four of us ordered (Pork Shank, Crusted Salmon, Roasted Chicken) and my favorite was the chicken fried steak. The chicken was under seasoned, everything else has decent seasoning and the pork shank was crispy on the outside and tender inside. Leave room for desert and order the carrot cake!! It was the best carrot cake I’ve ever had in my entire life (and I am a foodie) The appetizers were okay but I would skip on them if I returned. For parking there is free valet and the accept tips, there is also limited 2 hour parking.

I am giving 5 stars just for the service and ambience. Sharon was amazing and the restaurant is so nice and high end, inside and outside.

The food is good and the place is cute. Went with friends for brunch. The freshly made Wanda’s donuts with cereal milk are THE BEST. Will be back just for those alone. Valet parking available. Cute outdoor seating too.

My friend and I attended an event at this restaurant and we decided to sit in the bar area for further relaxation. I did observe multiple servers helping out throughout the event but the primary bartenders (in the bar area) were not very helpful. The customer service was lacking and they were very cold (unsure if it was just to myself and my friend). The servers OUTSIDE of the bar appeared to be helpful and doing the best they can. As far as food, I ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup and Caesar Salad. The soup was filled with shredded chicken, veggies, and a tasty broth. It definitely assisted in making me full! The Caesar salad was your typical item, nothing extra about it. I enjoyed both dishes together but if you’re to get the salad add protein to it for a tastier meal. The drinks I ordered was an Expresso Martini and The One with Vodka. Both drinks were quality made and I enjoyed them. I never had an Expresso Martini and the OUTSIDE bartender informed me they add vanilla to theirs to sweeten it a little bit which is a smart idea! Overall, the food and drinks were passable at this restaurant but the customer service needs improvement especially in the bar area.

The food was amazing and our server Clayton was extremely professional and helpful. Definitely will dine here again!

Went to go check out the samurai museum and decided to eat here and was blown away by the proportion size of the crispy calamari. 10/10 highly recommend

A friend and I went here for brunch on a Saturday and there was a live band outside who was very good and the weather was perfect! I took a star off because it took the waiter a while, maybe 15 mins to approach our table. I had to wave someone else down and it wasn’t packed. Other than that the vibe was great! The food was very tasty and worth the money. We probably paid $100 including the tip, we had 2 appetizers 2 entrees and a carafe. Def recommend and will be going back! ☺️

The ambience at this place is spectacular. Our server Matt was awesome and very knowledgeable when it came to the menu. The grilled pork chop with cheddar grits was amazing and Banana bread pudding was delicious. I would definitely recommend everyone stop by and try something out of your comfort zone here because you won't regret it. Update 3/18/22 We came in on a quiet Friday for lunch and received exceptional service. Unfortunately, the food was not a hit. The chicken fried streak was extremely over cooked and tough to chew and the shrimp & grits was very watery like a soup. However, the 24 Carrot cake was delicious and so was the spinach and artichoke dip. So based on this recent experience, I’m changing my review from 5 stars to 4.

Made reservations for brunch and got seated immediately. The waitress was so sweet and amazing. The drinks were a bit expensive ($18) but delicious. It’s a cute restaurant and convenient before or after events at the AAC

My family and I came in for Christmas Dinner. This was a our first time here. Beautiful place. Great Christmas atmosphere. (Raymond) aka Dwayne ☺️ was our Server! He was awesome! He had a great personality and was very attentive to us. He answered all of our questions about the menu and gave us his honest opinion and I felt was very genuine with his responses. I personally think he’s a keeper! I’ve been a lot of places and food was great but customer service was horrible. My passion is customer service at the company I work for. I tell people at restaurants, you have bad food, I’ll come back and try a different dish, but you can’t fix bad customer service without replacing the people. DONT REPLACE HIM! 🙏🏽❤️ HE IS GREAT! Be blessed Dwayne- Keep being you!

Service was poor! Multiple servers standing around chatting; when i asked one to take my drink order he said im not your server.....really? Our server really didnt seem to care to be there, not friendly at all. Lastly, the place was super hot, i was sweaty the entire meal

I wouldn’t rush to try it out. It was cute. Aesthetics: The outdoor area looked amazing, but no way was I sitting out there in 100 degree temps, before going out. The bar was quaint (small) and messy (looked my kitchen trying to impress friends and make drinks with too many ingredients). They ran out of ingredients for a really fun drink at 5:00. Overall cute and clean. Restrooms upstairs. (There was an elevator) Staff was constantly rushing. Our server was very attentive. Ceviche was mediocre, at best. Short ribs and polenta were tasty. The short-rib flatbread had flavor, but lacked something-we were thinking arugula and/or fresh jalapeño... be we aren’t chefs.

I made reservations well in advance. First time to this restaurant and was excited to try it. Before our group was seated the hostess stand let us know that we would be seated at a "quick turn around table and you have one hour to have your meal because the next reservation is in one hour". I have never been told to be done eating at a certain time. We were seated 10-15 minutes later then our reservation time (again was reserved well in advance). As soon as we were seated the server was in a hurry to place our order. None I've the staff was friendly or inviting. The food was great. We also were not informed there would be gratuity added to our check- for a party of 6.

I had heard good reviews on this place and decided to host my best friends bridal shower there. I reserved in advance and was told we'd be seated off to the side which was fine (I asked for the patio area because it would be quieter and was told they have an area where they seat large parties). We get there and we were seated directly by the kitchen where staff was constantly running in back and forth. I was bumped into several times.... The dinner menu was very limited maybe 6 things to choose from (so if you're a picky eater don't go). It was also extremely over priced for the quality of food. How do you mess up chicken fried steak? Since this was a bridal shower of course we brought a small shower cake. I was charged a $30.00 "cake cutting fee" for bringing in an outside dessert. Mind you they didn't offer to refrigerate the cake nor did they cut it. This was the first time I'd heard of an restaurant charging for bringing a cake. I don't see why they feel that they should charge for a cake when I brought them business in such a large party. We would have been better off cutting the cake in the parking lot...the music seemed to be very loud where we were sitting and we had to literally yell to participate in shower games. Oh and there were flys flying around our table and food. All in all the restuarant atmosphere is nice but I would only go for drinks and maybe an appetizer and that's it.

Excellent atmosphere, superb food. Highly recommend for any Sunday brunch. Great experience and kudos on the Bloody Marys & the Crab Benedict. We’ll be back next time we are in Dallas.

We were there Sat. Feb 3, for baby shower. I had the omelette and is was delicious and huge. The wait staff was fantastic. They handled all of our needs even cutting the cake and delivery of the togo boxes for several. The atmosphere is very nice . Highly recommend!

The first set of drinks we ordered were so disgusting, all 3 of us sent them back. Service was very slow, I think our weighted only came by twice. Appetizer trio was great and so was the lobster Mac-n-cheese, my filet had no flavor though. Too overpriced, but a nice location and patio in Downtown.

I was there for my 33rd Birthday celebration. The first table was full of gnats ! The waiter was horrible, everyone's food was incorrect, some was cold and some was delayed. The place is very nice and the food is good after reordering, this place is short on CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

I don’t care for French toast but this was the best French toast I’ve ever tasted in my life! I can’t wait to try the other selections on the menu.

My party reservation was at 1:30 Sunday didn’t get a table until about 2:00 but while at the bar the bartender was trying to take my bar stoll as I was getting ready to sit down to give to someone else.. We also had to move to another table because we were sitting next to a table with two very large dogs & one of the dogs tail kept hitting my friend arm or the dog would turn around & put his face on our table waiter (bus man)spilled my water over on me didn’t say excuse me or try & wipe it up..The food was ok.. I only had the breakfast potatoes.. This was my first time here I wasn’t really impressed with the service but the atmosphere & mimosas were good

I just had the Greek Salad with Salmon. It was good, especially the salmon. The Greek salad didn't have the typical taste of a Greek salad. They only have Happy Hour prices on hard liquor and beer not wine. We asked for bread for our table (twice) of 4 and we had pretty much finished our dinner when we finally received one small piece and we were charged $2 for it. Restaurants don't normally charge for bread with dinner.

Very slow service - had to wait 15 minutes just to get water ( and we had to ask for it as well), no AC on the patio because someone forgot to turn it on so the hostess finally came with the remote to turn it on after people started complaining. I was also disappointed with the Classic Benedict which looked like it came from McDs . I'm not sure why this place is so popular since the food is very basic and plain. The brunch menu is very limited. The only thing I liked was the Bellini. The restaurant has a nice décor with plenty of seating and there is a free Samurai museum upstairs but based on the quality of food and service, I will not be recommending it to anybody.

I've been here once before and the service was ok and the food was great. However, the experience this most recent visit was terrible. We didn't get service for over an hour and when we expressed that to a service he wasn't very apologetic about it. We literally had to ask for the manager 3 times. although the manager tried to make it better by offering free appetizers, it kept going downhill.

Food and service were fantastic. Our server was great, even considering there were 11 of us. Definitely coming back.
