07/26/2023: My gal pal and I decided to meet up at Lucky’s to give it a try tonight. Let’s say this was a perfect idea. Jamison was our extremely friendly, professional, patient, and kind server. Chicken fried steak, fried chicken sandwich, banana pudding, and apple pie a la mode were ordered between the two of us. Let’s say everything was so gosh darn tasty and extremely satisfying. This is a type of diner that is so, so good and I am thrilled to have gone.

We recently passed by this amazing cafe while visiting Highland Park. Wait time was very short and staff members were courteous. The potatoes and eggs were well seasoned and overall everything tasted great. Definitely try their freshly squeezed orange juice!

The food was outstanding with a friendly service. Celeste suggested the heavenly potato soup which was perfect for the rainy day. The staff was happy, smiling, and keeping busy. Vegan and vegetarian options were available, and farm-to-table food made it even better. The delicious meatloaf only needed a bigger portion of mashed potatoes. Overall, it is one of the favorites now.

The tall stack with Apple Butter was fabulous. The bacon, eggs over easy and grits were good as well. Service very friendly. Calm environment. Will return when I visit Dallas again!

O yeah- food is fresh delicious and local. Most excellent. Bonus it is somehow still a secret makes it next level special.

Food and service are amazing! Started off perfectly with fried mushrooms as appetizer with some orange mimosa. You also get free delicious biscuits and cornbread. Main dish was meatloaf and would definately get it again. I also tried the banana cognac pancakes and man that tasted sooo yummy! Server was super nice and attentive. Also try the potato soup! Can't go wrong with anything here.

Met a friend for late dinner at Lucky's Cafe (her pick). Neither of us had been there before, but it was close to where we were going and it had good reviews. From the curb, there is no great appeal. Even inside, not really impressed. But the FOOD!!!!!!!!!! Oh, My!!! The reviews were spot on!!! She ordered the appetizer platter for her meal. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes with cinnamon brown sugar butter. It was all so very delicious!!! Her patter had chicken strips, onion rings and something else, but I don t remember. I was too absorbed in my fluffy pancakes with amazing flavored butter!!! We both waddled out of there completely satisfied!!! She called the next morning to let me know that she ate every bite of what was left of that platter before she went to bed. She is no bigger than a minute, so it has to be good for her to eat that much!!!! What a wonderfully simple place to eat beautifully prepared, very tasty food that is not good for you. I certainly could not eat there everyday as my cholesterol and waistline could not afford it, but for a special cheat meal with a good friend, this is AMAZING!!!!

What a gem of a diner. Both the service and food is outstanding. The menu options are diverse and has something for everyone. Complimentary biscuits and muffins are delicious. The portions are generous and our server made us feel like we were at home and very comfortable. I highly recommend this great eatery

Ate at Luckys and it was terrific! The service was excellent! I had the Almost Healty Pancakes with a side of bacon. The cinnamon butter on the pancakes took the flavor to a higher level. I also had a Bloody Mary that was delicious. I highly recommend Luckys, you will not be disappointed, happy eating!

I have been ordering Lucky's through Uber for months and finally got the opportunity to stop and dine in. This restaurant is so unique and nostalgic! It is very clean with plenty of seating, it even has a bar, which I didn't expect! My server Tyler was probably the best part of my visit. Great service with wonderful conversation, he really made my experience a great one. I love the banana pancakes, but I also tried the deviled eggs (which were superb) and a Martini. I will most definitely try and make it back to dine in soon!

The Staff seems happy with a smile on their face and staying busy. The vegan and vegetarian options make it so much better along with the farm to table food! The meatloaf is delicious, the ONLY thing I would suggest is a bit bigger mashed potatoes portion to compliment the meatloaf portion. This is definitely added to my favorites!!

Lucky’s is an exceptional farm to table breakfast, and arguably the most affordable in Dallas! Their 50s style diner experience is iconic, and they keep it clean and running fast like a well oiled machine. They are at their best for breakfast and brunch, so swing by and try one of their classic options or venture into something more exciting.
Pros:

- locally sourced ingredients
- consistent quality
- fast and experienced service
- attentive and friendly staff
- fun and relaxed atmosphere
Cons:
- a little more expensive because of the local ingredients.
- foods are seasoned with salts and dried ingredients instead of their fresh counterparts, which is disappointing considering the local options available.
I enjoyed my breakfast and plan to return to try some of their Tex-mex brunch options. I can safely recommend this establishment to anyone interested.

We met friends for an early dinner, parking was a little dicey for us suburbanites, but totally worth the effort. We had delicious food, intimate conversation (not too loud for those of us with hearing aids). A lovely evening, great food, and our server was so intuitive, non intrusive, but attentive. Sorry I can’t remember his name, sparkling blue eyes though!!!

I wasn’t sure what to expect based on photos but I tried the breakfast based on reviews and I’m glad I did. Everything on my plate was seasoned so well. The potatoes are some of the best I’ve tasted. It’s simple diner food however the flavor is so much more. Get at least one pancake just to try the cinnamon apple butter that comes with it.

Luckys is great. The food is normally good. However my patty melt and okra was not. My friend ordered breakfast and his was great. I'm thinking ordering lunch instead was my downfall.

Love the old time diner feel to this place. They even have counter seats. The food could suck it'd be worth it for the atmosphere. But, the food is quite good here definitely worth checking out. The waitstaff is personable and efficient. A really cool place to check out if you've never been.

I just love this place! The staff is so experienced and nice. The food is top notch! I don't think that I have ever had anything bad here. Just love how friendly and accommodating the staff are here, I can't say enough nice things. Try the brussell sprouts are amazing!

Good food, great staff. Went back to basics. Wish they would bring back grilled chicken Brest with cream cheese but other than that very good. Only drawback is parking or lack there of.

There food was awesome and it came fast too? My wife and I loved the people, the service and the food! We walked 1.3 miles in 90% humidity. So you know we can’t lie for it has to be worth the walk!
