Decent quality Thai and easily the best in the area. The spice levels are pretty hot though with a 3/3 being Thai spicy so make sure you want it hot before you order hot. The wait can be quite long so I recommend ordering ahead and picking up vs waiting in the restaurant. We usually get the seafood red curry and a noodle dish and both are quite good and large portions for the price.

Under new management since August. Extremely friendly staff, great food, menu selections are in line with other Thai restaurants in No. Va. Ingredients seem fresher now and they welcome any suggestions and will make dishes to individual tastes. Prices are reasonable.

The best Thai food in the area. They'll cook things to your specifications and remember what you like. The service is great. EDIT Aug 2018: as of August 1, they are under new management. I cannot vouch for the food, service, or atmosphere as I have not been since this change.

My husband and I tried Thai Orchid for the first time recently and it was wonderful. We had the green curry and the pad Thai. Both were fabulous! Just the right amount of heat/spice. Tender chicken and fresh veggies. The peanut sauce with the Pad Thai was delicious! Highly recommend if you need a good Thai fix!

Ordered to go while there. Food came out fast. Friendly service too. Ordered the Shrimp with green curry and veggies. So good! And perfectly spicy! Love the Thai tea and spring rolls as well.

The food here is really good and is probably the best Thai in this immediate area. Nice amount of vegetarian selections, including appetizers and salads. Atmosphere is more on the casual side, but very focused on sit-down service. Service is kind of spotty, because sometimes it is good and sometimes not.

I've had two great experiences here since I moved here recently. Food is great and service is great. I make it a habit to eat at different Thai restaurants when I see them; Thai Orchid can stand up to any of them. I get the Pad Thai. Great taste and if you want it spicy, they'll make it spicy.. trust me. The give you the option of 1-3 peppers (representing spiciness). I've gotten level 3 both times and it's SPICY. A good amount of spicy that's hard to get at other restaurants. All the while, the overall taste of the dish is great. The server is very friendly and on task. She really cares about your experience. Enjoys conversing with guests. Price is higher than some, but for good reason. The crab meat is real crab. Their shrimp is high quality. Some products are seasonal and priced accordingly. After visiting twice, cost would never keep me from going back. Its well worth it. If you like Thai, as I do, you shouldn't be disappointed with Thai Orchid.

The food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The service was warm and friendly. One of the best Thai foods I have had in a long while. Will certainly drive out of my way to eat here!

Stopped and ate here on a whim while traveling. The food was amazing, well priced for the flavor and serving size, and the service was friendly. Overall, I would definitely recommend it! It's the type of excellent hole in the wall type place that deserves more attention.

I was in the area and decided to get a carryout order and was greeted by new staff - apparently, I did not know that a new ownership took over on August 1st, and I ordered a pork ka pow entree to go. When I brought it home and had it, I could tell that flavor of ka pow had more of authentic flavor compared to my previous orders! Additionally, the new owner is noticeably more personable. I will be dining here more often anytime I am in the Woodbridge area, and strongly recommend others to try this place under their new management.

This is a very nice , cozy restaurant serving Thai cuisine. I have been to this restaurant so many times loving the food and the friendly service staff. This time we ordered pad Thai and it is so delicately balanced with spices. Another light fare is the coconut lemon soup. It is a blend of spices and mushrooms cooked with coconut juice. I have tried the fried mahi mahi or a choice of red snapper. It goes wonderfully with rice. This place calls me again and again.

My favorite restaurant - hard to see some comments complaining over mediocre things. The people that work here are and have always been nice, even the chef! I've been going here for 5 + years and have never been disappointed with my food or the atmosphere. From Pat on down - everyone and everything is 5 star in my book!

My family loves the food from this place! Our favorite is the Beef Basil. We usually get the spice on the side so we can make it as spicy as we wish that day. The spring rolls are great also.

Pad thai is bomb ! My sister and i did not think they were going to be all that, because we were raised to make these dishes at home ourselves. Occasionally we like to dine out, and this is our "go to" spot. Definitely worth the try !
