On our way to Lake Winfield Scott. Great place to eat before hitting the mountains. Staff was super friendly. We eat meatloaf with mash potatoes. Great comfort food.

I ask where the locals go for a good Ma - Pa type breakfast. "Danny's" came up so we tried it. Very good! Everyone enjoyed the food and service was excellent.

Our breakfast did not meet our expectations based on previous reviews. It surprised us that breakfast was an a la carte menu, A bit expensive for what type of food you get, in our case over cooked bacon, disappointing pancakes, and packaged sausages. The service was good, the food would be considered ordinary.

Not your mommas breakfast joint … From the outside it looks like a quaint little place and exactly what we were looking for this morning. We were hoping to enjoy a simple local breakfast before hitting the road but when it comes to details and service, forget about it.
We ordered three breakfast meals...and two sides of bacon ($2.50 ea). The bacon was served cold and very crispy. Next, we noticed (after our food was dropped off and the waiter left) that there was no syrup delivered with our order of pancakes. Usually this would be an easy fix by asking a waiter or waitress walking by or when someone stops by to see how everything turned out. Neither of these happened. Our waitress did not drop off the food, someone else did and no one stopped back by (or even walked by for that matter) from the time we sat down, until the time we finished eating.
My wife hates to complain or bother anyone so she tried to eat half of the pancakes without syrup (forget about real butter here, whipped margarine is all they have here), when I gave up on waiting and finally walked around to see if I could find some syrup but I couldn’t find any on their condiment table.
I asked an employee who was eating breakfast at a nearby table with two other employees if she could help us find the syrup. She didn’t know where the syrup was either but one of the other ladies at her table knew and she explained it was in a cabinet across the room. Thankfully this worker who was on her break was kind enough to find the syrup and drop it off for us. The bottom line here...we will not be returning to Danny’s.

After I ate lunch here I asked some local people and they told me it was a good place to eat in the past but it seem to have more bad days than good. My chicken seemed to be boiled before being fried and the cornbread and roll were so dry I assumed they were left over from the previous day. Don't know if I will chance it again on my next trip.

Southern fare. Nothing fancy. Biscuits and gravy were very tasty. Will go back again just for that. Had to bring home my omelette as it was way to much food. Our waitress, Melanie, was very friendly. Could have kept on top of keeping our drinks full a little better. We always go out for breakfast on Saturdays and we will now be adding this restaurant to our rotation.

Cafeteria style, friendly ladies and staff. Food was great! Loved the rolls and most of the desserts are homemade. Always someone checking on our table to see if we were ok. Can’t wait to try their breakfast next!

We were recommended to visit this place by the guy at our hotel. He said this is the place where the locals go. And I bet it is. Very cozy and delicious food at a good price. A cafeteria style restaurant great for breakfast with family.
