Review Chilosos Fresh-mex Kitchen And Cantina - Cypress

Unfortunately, I didn't actually taste the food, as the customer service from the waitress as I entered the establishment was slightly below terrible. Common sense seems to have left the building prior to her shift. I had not been there before and had a few questions about the menu. She asked if I had a mask, which I did not. I informed her that I could not wear a mask because of health condition. I was swiftly informed that I could scan the bar code and place an order outside. Without anyone actually in the dining room, I wouldn't be within 6' or even 12' from another person. I tried to ask a question, but again was referred to leaving the building. I mentioned that those outside were not wearing masks, and if anyone had actually been inside, neither would they be wearing masks, while dining. (I suppose the CV19 only travels horizontal, and doesn’t affect those 2'-3' at an angle of one another). She felt uncomfortable, and so I stepped outside. In the midst of ordering, I became uncomfortable that she may have been wearing the same mask all day and possibly could have come in contact with someone with the swine flu, a paper cut, or dirty shoes. Since her comfort is more important than a business making money I decided to eat somewhere else that seasoned their food with lots more common sense.

I heard Chilosos was good, but I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was! All the food was fresh and delicious, quickly made as well. The place nice environment and the staff was friendly. I got street tacos with barbacoa, which I would definitely get again. The green sauce on the table was pretty good as well. I'll will for sure be recommending this place and coming back in the future.

UPDATE: Today is the first time I visited my favorite place to get tacos in the evening and as I sit here doing this review it hurts me to say this is a very horrible experience. The experience you'll receive in the morning and noon shift isn't the experience you will get in the evening. I literally feel I'm at an entirely different establishment. The young lady taking the order is non-attentive and standoffish. She didn't correctly take the order so I wasn't able to eat with my colleague. In addition, they didn't bring everything she requested with her taco plate and seen to have a passive aggressive attitude when she asked about it. After placing my order it took roughly another 20 minutes to get it and the only reason they brought it out was because my colleague enter the establishment and expressed I hadn't got my food. The staff and environment is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the first shift staff and provides an experience that would make the conscious customer fail to return or provide a good review. With all of this said, due to the first shifts AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE I will still eat here but doing lunch when I'm in the area. If you're looking to eat here in the evening I suggest looking elsewhere. Due to this I'm changing my 5 star review to a 4. If it was my first time here it would be a 1 star review. The Taco's and experience here is always great! It's very cozy sitting outside on a nice day. The staff are all very polite and serving of anyone who enters and the Taco's are always delicious! I suggest if you're in the area looking for tacos (Ground Beef) you should stop by and try them out.

Let me tell you about this place if you guys want some great tacos and amazing service make sure you go when they open that first group of people that serves are amazing I can’t speak for the afternoon but the morning group for lunch amazing. Now let’s talk about the food I said outside right in front of the door which makes me very happy I love the atmosphere they bring my food out with my cold beer let me not forget in a coma and my food is always hot and fresh. To me this is authentic Mexican food. I’ll be back soon with pictures cause I’m going to visit again this week I go once a week and I love this place . Trust me if you’re ever in Cypress check him out.

Hint:: if someone orders cheese enchiladas there is a good chance they wanted to stick with vegetarian option...Ordered 2 cheese enchiladas with green sauce to go....how difficult could that order be? Received 1 order with green sauce and other with chili sauce..and to top it all off the one with green sauce was completely dry...barely any cheese or sauce on top of it...like many others we had high hopes but this experience was disappointing.

This restaurant is honestly stellar. I was really reluctant at first because as everyone knows texmex is a diamond dozen in Texas and most of it is actually decent but none of it is hardly outstanding. Between the fresh tortillas and some other little odd and ends that I don't find at other restaurants and that it's small and quaint I really like this joint. The tacos are pretty generous for the money which is rare as people are getting shyster and sheistier with razor slim profit margins especially during rona times... But this place is really legit. I've ate here a couple times lately and love almost everything about it except that it kind of stinks. I mean like literally, the restaurant kind of smells like cheap disinfectant and just nasty truck stop bathroom. I don't mean to say that to be condescending because I really like this place the staff the location everything about it but when I sit at the bar in the back it stinks. Apart from that and I'll give them grace...I really love this place.

Very friendly service. Great tasting food. I had the taco plate, and the ground beef was flavored just right, and the rice and beans are very flavorful and tasty. Great salsa and guacamole.

Walked in at 7:55 not realizing they closed at 8. The staff was still more than happy to serve us and were very nice. We even got free margaritas! I will definitely be coming back. The food was also really good and well prepared. Think I found a new favorite place!
