Review Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Cypress

Stopped by when we were headed to the Houston Premium Outlets and wanted a little snack. Got the Blueberry Bliss smoothie (with blueberry, strawberry, and banana) and the Jalapeno Corn. The smoothie and corn were very tasty. We felt like there were a lot of seeds in the drink; we have been going to some different smoothie places lately and having some drinks with strawberry but haven't tasted seeds like this before. Service was quick and friendly. Craving satisfied.

There is nothing tropical about this place, all the reviews below giving 4/5 stars either never had tropical food or just fake! if you think you are going to get tropical flavor, don’t bother coming here. Ordered Jerk chicken - which was basically just boiled grilled chicken.. no flavor, same with the baja shrimp.. the saving grace were the smoothies.. I think they should just stick to that. Service was ok, bunch of uninterested kids just going about the routine, no smile, no thank you, no enjoy your food.. no warmth.. It’s as basic as you can get / no frills smoothie joint with falsely advertised pics of food from someone else’s kitchen!

Dear Tropical Smoothie Cafe, not only have you increased your prices, you have ended happy hour. I am highly disappointed. I have been a customer for almost 20 years. Because of this, we must depart ways. You wre my favorite smoothie place

Ordered a jerk chicken quesadilla. I got 2 slices with partial melted cheese, some grilled chicken slices with a few black beans. No pineapple salsa, no sauce, no roasted peppers.

Amazing place to buy food and smoothies! The employees are wonderful and very fun to talk to. I always feel welcome and the quality of everything is great! I always get my food and smoothies quickly and efficiently when I'm there even when they're busy. Definitely would recommend!

We really enjoy the smoothies and food items but we have ordered curbside pick-up the last 2 times and they never bring the order out. I understand staff shortage but there were 3 team members working and 2 customers in the cafe. When I asked the if they really do curbside and that I had been waiting he just said “ oh sorry”. My drinks were melted and my food was cold.

Ordered online for 11:45 pickup. Arrived at store at 11:48, no order. Waited 5 minutes at clearly marked "online pickup here" sign. No staff welcomed me or asked about my order. People in store ordering after my arrival started getting orders. Unable to get the staff's attention (they all kept their backs toward the pickup counter), I went to the register. The manager (she was dressed differently than everyone else so I assume it meant she was management) asked me what I wanted to order and I said I had an online order. She cut me off to point and say pickup is over there. I said I was there for 10 minutes with no order. She insisted and I asked her to look herself. She saw no order, asked the staff, who had part of the order up on a shelf. The manager said I just needed to ask for it at the online counter and shouldn't have waited. I then said I had TWO smoothies and she asked me if I were sure. I held up my email order confirmation and read off the missing smoothie to her. A staff member said she had it just about ready. It was now 12:05. I am extremely disappointed in the service. I have patronized this chain for more than 7 years, starting in Florida, and this store for the past 6 months. There was no effort made to make me feel welcomed, appreciated or even believed. The staff should keep an eye on the online pickup area if anyone is standing there for several minutes. At least ask for their name and check on the order. A designated staff member (maybe the one closest to the area who was too busy shoveling ice into the next blender container to ever turn to her right to say hello) should be assigned the task. The manager needs remedial lessons in greeting customers and ensuring they are quickly served with a complete order, not imperiously pointing at a different space in the store and insisting I don't know how many smoothies I ordered. The worst part is the sandwich was of poor temperature and texture due to the nearly 20 minute pickup delay. This was my husband's first order from Tropical Smoothie, for his birthday, and he enjoyed the smoothie very much but agreed we need to visit another location or try the closer Smoothie King down the street. Maybe I was spoiled by my Florida experiences in Fort Myers and Naples but this Cypress Fairbanks Texas location left a poor taste in our mouths, literally.

This is my new favorite smoothie place!! You know I love going to places that are not placed on every corner, where everyone goes..I honestly never heard of Tropical Smoothie, so I thought it would be another know smoothie place..I was wrong..the atmosphere & the customer service was awesome!! The menu was understandably were I didn't get confused about what was going into it..the bonus was the food!! Thank you Tropical Smoothie.. I'm a Satisfy and Returning customer!..oh and the prices were great!!

Very clean place, and nice staff. Today I had the Avocolada smoothie, and amazing doesn’t even begin to describe it! So refreshing and so good! I also had the Cali chicken club flatbread, again such an amazing meal! Unfortunately, this part of cypress is out of the way for me but I will definitely make the trip just to come back!

They have the best smoothies by far and the staff and manager are awesome. ���

We just left. It says smoothies are only $1.99 all day. And they were saying its only $1.99 off regular price.

My favorite smoothie is the Bahama Mama and Mocha Madness!!! Great customer service!!
