Review Southern Maid Donut Shop - Cypress

I placed a $60 order through DoorDash but only half of the order showed up. They “didn’t scroll down and missed half of it”. The sandwich and kolachies were cold but maybe they’re supposed to be I’m not sure. Easy enough to microwave them I guess. Very disappointed with this order. No donuts or eclairs to go with the food. 🥲

Their crullers are the best I've ever tried. Massive breakfast tacos. Several booths to eat inside if you can't wait to snack on your donuts+. Staff is friendly and the place is always clean.

Awesome Ham and Cheese Kolaches! You really can’t beat waking up on a early morning and coming through here for some hot donuts or Kolaches. Everything is always fresh and the coffee is always hot. While it’s not healthy it sure makes for an amazing breakfast.

Friendly staff, semi convenient location, but good grief was the food aweful. I came thru for the third time hoping that the first two times I tried this place was just them have a day day or two. Unfortunately that was not the case. The bread for the kolaches was so dry and grainy, the donuts were so sickeningly sweet I couldn't take more than one bite, their breakfast croissant sandwich was unflavored and hurt my stomach so bad I honestly think that it had been left out for a few days at least. I encourage you to steer clear and take your money elsewhere.

Food is great, but don’t recommend the delivery. I was having donuts delivered to the hospital for a thank you. I left instructions and they didn’t do what I asked. I was told they wouldn’t do all of that work.

We have passed by this place many times and never thought much of it. My Aunt saw it when she was visiting and remembered eating at a Southern Maid Donuts back in the day and was excited we had one close to our house. So, I decided to stop this morning and give them a try and my expectations were far exceeded. Ordered a Croissant, Kolaches, and a taco and they were all very good. Quality ingredients, great bacon, good meat proportions, and not too much cheese. We will definitely be going back.

Boudin kolachies need I say more. Amazing.
