Kilburn's Tavern & Grille

The waitress here told us that all of the food is organic, bought and raised locally, and never frozen. If this is true, it's just another reason to be impressed with the place. I came with a couple of friends on a Friday night. We all ordered steak and all of us were pleased. It certainly didn't taste like the same pre-made, frozen, bland steaks you find at chain stores. It's hard to find a chef who will cook a rare steak and still bring it to you bloody- seems like a lost art. But not these guys- they know exactly what they are doing. Also liked the selection of beers. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and fast. Can't wait to come back!

After ordering and receiving our fried pickle appetizer, we had to ask the waitress for silverware. First strike. I ordered the Southwestern chicken wrap, and it was incredibly greasy. The chicken was dry, overcooked, and unseasoned. The corn tasted like it came from a can, and even the greasy cheese lacked flavor. The side it came with was some kind of corn relish which I thought was stupid considering the fact that my wrap was also filled with corn. I couldn't finish my plate. My boyfriend's fries and his burger looked appetizing, but were completely unseasoned. NO flavor whatsoever. I mean, what kind of place serves fries with no salt or refuses to season a burger patty before grilling it? There weren't even salt and pepper shakers on the table. My conclusion is that the place is allergic to it. The accuracy of our order depended on the memory of the waitress, which was a fluke. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to try this place. Next time, I'll take the few cars that were bold enough to remain in the lot as a sign that the only thing good to get inside is probably the alcohol.

Been here twice now, once it was a crowded Thursday night, another a slow Sunday. The food is great, the music was good but the service is horrible! The female bartender with long dark hair is so concerned with playing with her hair all night (over all the glasses, drinks, etc), that she never noticed our glasses were repeatedly empty, and we were sitting right in front of her at the bar. Served our food with no comment and never checked on us to see if we needed anything afterward. I will not be back because I prefer to have decent service and not have to beg for a drink.
