Review Bb's Tex-orleans - Cypress

Me and my husband came here today for lunch. It was our first time coming to this location. When we first walked in and went to the host stand a rude older gentleman approached us no hello or greeting , grabbed two menus and walked off to seat us. We ordered 5lbs of the “wet” crawfish and 1/2lb of shrimp with mushrooms and alligator sausage. The crawfish tasted as tho they were previously frozen and were extremely over cooked as well as extremely over-seasoned on the outside. The shrimp were also extremely over cooked , tasted as tho they had been previously frozen and were rubbery. The alligator sausage tasted like just regular sausage and wasn’t good either. The only good thing was the loaded fries. Service was good and very attentive. Definitely not worth 80$ We did ask the server if it was fresh or frozen seafood and he said it was fresh but it definitely was not.

4/22/22The service provided by our waitress Morgan was awesome! She delivered to our satisfication.I hope she gets recognized for her great service! Also, I believe the manager came by to check on our experience there, which is a plus. The food was great! Applause to the chef and team in the kitchen. Great crawfrish and the secret seasoning sauce was one of the best. The interior design is an esquisite view and reminder of New Orleans atmosphere. I would recommend people this location for great cajun food and service experience. Please Like, Share and Follow for more #JaysTrueRating

We have came to the location multiple times before. Today just seemed a little off for the staff. I originally ordered the Thursday special but was extremely dissatisfied by the presentation and portion of the item. After asking them to take it back I ordered the Tuesday special and once again wasn’t quite satisfied with the meal seeing that one piece of chicken was a scrap piece and not even a full piece like it says on the menu. I noticed a lot of staff walking around either talking to one another or not being productive while I had to personally get an employees attention just to change my order. This establishment definitely needs a revamp and boost of motivation.

Love the Tex Orleans flavored boils and all of the add ons available. This location has never let down. Customer service has also been superb here. Nice outdoor seating area.

AWESOME I had the fried catfish, macaroni and cheese, and gumbo. DELICIOUS. The french fries were given to me by accident but I’m happy because they did not charge me for those and they were also very good.

Really good food in a really nice atmosphere. Went for my girlfriend sister's birthday dinner. She said it was her favorite and I understand why. The bread pudding was better than what we had in New Orleans. We tried a bit of everything. Didn't find anything we didn't like.
EPIC PARTY
Awesome customer service!!! Was our first definitely coming BACK… crawfish was savory with spice .. great quality clean environment!!!

It's our first time at this location and we absolutely loved the restaurant and customer service we received from Lana. She was great at recommending dishes and got our order out in a timely manner. My husband's margarita was a bit delayed but she jumped on it and took care of it. She never ceased to check on us.We highly recommend her that we had to speak to her manager Nick. She deserves kudos for taking care of our table. We not only like to pay for the food but also our service. Thanks and we will visit again.

Went for dinner tonight with my husband. Happy there’s another seafood place in Cypress. Decor was nice and can’t wait for warmer weather to sit on the new patio in the back. Several TVs - Saints game was on so that made the place more lively. We had a good dinner - shrimp gumbo, dinner salad (good ranch dressing), fried shrimp and shrimp and grits. Portions were generous. Fries were over salted but everything else was good. 4 stars given because of service. We weren’t greeted at our table for a while and the hostess stopped to ask if waiter had been by yet. Hostess ended up getting our drinks. When gumbo was served waitress asked if my husband wanted Tabasco, etc. He said yes but she never brought it so he ate the gumbo before it got cold. It’s a Cajun restaurant - leave the hot stuff on the table with the salt and pepper. We had to request drink refills as well. Waitress was very nice which made up for the few negatives in service. We will be back. Looking forward to crawfish season.

My name is Amanda Cox and we ate dinner at your Cypress location this evening around six o'clock. It was myself and my three children, we ordered the Tex Cajun fries and the Pollo bullets for an appetizer. When the appetizers arrived my children immediately starting eating the chicken bullets and a few minutes later I had one and when I cut into it, it looked a little pink but just brushed it off as maybe a lighting issue. Then when my middle son went to grab another one I saw that there was a whole piece that was completely raw on the outside. I immediately picked it up with my fork and moved it to my plate and tried to cut into it, and you were not even able to cut into as the chicken on the outside and inside was completely raw on the ends! I was in shock that myself and my children had been eating contaminated chicken and potenially raw pieces. I summoned the waiter and had him look at that piece and he agreed that it was raw and went to get a manager. I witnessed him take the plate over to a young woman who quickly came to our table and picked up all of my childrens plates and the plate that held the chicken and went to the kitchen. Then your manager Alfonso Chable came to the table and expressed his apologies for the raw chicken, I expressed my grave concern that my children had consumed raw chicken or contanimated at the very least. He tried to assure that their kitchen was not a breeding ground for salmonella and they handle their food with good quality, yet I don't understand how that raw chicken was able to leave the kitchen in the first place due to the fact it was clearly visible on the outside. I was extremely concerned to learn that the manager did possess the proper knowledge of what salmonella is. He was under the impression that if you have a clean kitchen then even though the chicken is raw you wouldn't get sick. How is he supposed to be a manager and train on food quality control and not know that it doesn't matter how clean your kitchen is, you can get salmonella or food poisoning from undercooked and raw chicken. This is a major concern that the proteins are not being checked for proper temperatures. He back to the kitchen and the waiter brought out are meals, if it weren't for the fact my children were hungry we would have walked out then. I checked the cooking on my children's protein and waited for them to finish, as we were sitting there Alfonso came back out with a clipboard and paper and pen, he then proceeded to ask me for my full name and phone number all in the middle of the restaurant making me very uncomfortable. I asked him why he needed this information and be expressed he was filling out an incendent report to make sure this didn't happen again and it was his protocol to ask me if I wanted them to call medical services due to me expressing concerns over salmonella poisoning. I was dumbfounded as to why I was being interrogated in the middle of the restaurant and why he would ask for medical treatment when we had just injested the raw/contaminated chicken, I never gave him a yes or no answer and he left the table. The waiter returned with our check, only for me to see they were wanting to charge me for the raw chicken bites...I was flabbergasted to say the least! I told the waiter to please take this up with the manager. I also expressed I had no problem paying for the food that was eaten but, I did not feel like it was ethical for the restaurant to expect me to pay for potentially poisoning raw chicken that was served to myself and my three young children which are 5, 4, and 1. The manager came off as uncompassionate and defensive and I felt he was only concerned about taking steps to protect himself from a lawsuit. This has by far been my worst restaurant experience and it is very unfortunate because, I am not a first time customer to BBs. I am concerned about the food quality control and how that raw chicken was ever let out of the kitchen. I am praying my children do not get sick from this negligence. I am also highly disappointed in how we were treated after such a horrifying experience.

We took the family on Sunday and it was extremely busy. Our waitress was overwhelmed and the bar service was slow. We ordered crawfish, but I was expecting real Louisiana style. I was impressed with the size of the crawfish but they lacked flavor. Real crawfish doesn’t need seasoning on the outside of the shell. The flavor is found in the boil. I will definitely stick to their other menu choices.

Dog friendly patio and amazing food! The waitress was so sweet to my dog, I provided a bowl for her and the waitress kept it full of water for my girl. I’ll be coming back for the food and the service! Thanks so much!

My husband and I went this past weekend and LOVED it! The service was great and the food even better. I had the Rockdale Redfish and it was bursting with flavor. My husband had the fried fish and shrimp. He was very impressed and satisfied! My drink of choice is a margarita on the rocks and I enjoyed it. The only complaint I had was the music. It was too laid back for my taste. I would have preferred something more lively. Lol I suppose no one goes there for the music anyway, so no biggie. Haha We will definitely be going back!
