Review Cracker Barrel - Cypress

Dined here for the first time today Monday at 2:50 pm. There was nobody at the hostess stand but three cashiers standing around talking to each other. We waited 5 minutes for an employee to greet us even though there were several cashiers and waiters who made eye contact with us. Once sat we placed our order right away. The waiter was decent. Requested blueberry pancakes as one of the orders with Grandmas Sampler platter. Someone messed that up and served us regular pancakes. The waitress estimated it would would only take 3 minutes to get the correct pancakes to us. It took at least 10. The blueberry version was good and hot when they finally did arrive. We asked for our bacon and sausage to be fried hard and they got that perfect. The scrambled eggs were runny and disgusting.

Shay, our server, was very attentive. And got our order just right. The server who brought our food out was also great! Our food was cooked perfectly, and everything tasted great. Our only issue was our table had crumbs left on it and it took awhile to get our order in. Not a big big deal, just explaining our experience. Check out was easy, and all the staff was on point and courteous.

I love the food! But really, what is the point of offering Curbside/Online ordering if they don't come out with my order? Ordered at 11:22 online. I was already parked outside. Said it be ready at 11:39. I called at 11:40. They said theyd be out to my car. I waited and finally went inside at 12. I had to lock my toddler in the car to go inside for my food. My son has Autism. There is an auditory delay with Autism. He doesn't hear very well. So we avoid taking him too many places bc of it. I'm annoyed that when I walked in, there was 2 cashiers and a greeter doing much of nothing. Could someone , anyone, just have stepped out with my order? I wish them well but I'll just go home and cook next time or maybe just go back at a time they aren't soo busy. Also didn't like the way they packaged my food. I don't want to taste the dumplings while I'm eating the sides. Main entre spilled over into both sides.

Service was horrible! We waited for food for 45 minutes. The patrons next to us received their food before us and came in after us. We were told the kitchen was backed up. If the kitchen is backed up the table next to us should have received their food behind us! The manager came and was not accommodating ar all. The food finally came to the table and was wrong. Missing my cheddar scrambled eggs and French toast. We also have no silverware to eat with… no eating for us with the food that is correct. Horrible dining experience and I am not sure corporate has equip the staff with what to do when this happens. Sounds like they need a new SOP

Cracker barrel is an interesting place. While you wait for your meal, you can enjoy shopping in there expansive store. The interior is packed with old southern decorations and farming equipment. It looks like the south in here. The staff are mostly great. The waitress my family had was a bit stern and the food was good (not amazing). Overall it's a cool place to check out.

I'll be honest, I normally would rate Cracker Barrel 5+ stars. I know the "pandemic" and everything has affected companies in many different ways, but it just seems the food quality and the service has been fluctuating as well. It is still a great place to go sit and enjoy some time with family and get a meal out of the deal. And there are staff here that somehow know your visit may not have been the best, but they go out of their way to make it a little better.

We were hosting as last-minute hosts for Easter this year and decided to have CB cater the meal. We ordered the ham, green beans, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese (also came with a huge portion of peach cobbler!). This was the easiest meal we hosted. We did forget to grab the dessert hook our pick up but when I called, they were so polite and kind about it so it was not an issue at all. We enjoy going for breakfast and appreciate the team who put our yummy Easter meal together! Great value, delicious and homemade tasting and generous service.

Please do yourself a favor and don't come here to eat before 1pm on Sundays. I was really craving there breakfast so I waited for 45mins to be seated. The service was horrible. The food took about an hour or more to come out. I'm usually really patient but the server just couldn't get it right. Our order was wrong. I asked for jelly and ketchup he brought just jelly. So I asked kindly again can we get ketchup, please. He said anything else like if I was bothering him. If he would've brought both at the same time I wouldn't have to ask again! When our food came we had no napkins, never asked if we needed refills. I asked for napkins kindly again he brings me the tab. Then again need anything else? I lost my patience at that point because I had asked for napkins. I had to ask a manager. The manager didn't seem to care about his listening skills. He needs to speak up if he doesn't know what we need to avoid having to make multiple runs. Really just annoyed at the service here. It wasn't worth it at the end. Save yourself a headache!
