Reviews of The Bilge

ON Saturday 9/12/2020 we went to the bilge by boat for the second time this year. We had a group of 9 people. We arrived about 3:00 PM. There was one other table of people in the restaurant and 4 at the bar. We sat down and waited. it was over 20 minutes before we even got asked for a drink order. When our waitress did finally come over, it was another 15 minutes before we received our drinks. They sat on the bar for several minutes before she brought them to us. I even walked up to get them myself, but they were not on a tray, so I could not carry them all. We waited. Finally they were delivered. She wrapped them in her arms to carried them rather than get a tray. With the current Covid conditions, we did not think that was proper procedure..We finally were able to give our food order, and that too was VERY slow. In the meantime, we had to go find a waitress and ask her to get us another round of drinks for the table. She was very inattentive. We ordered appetizers, one of which we never got, asked for marinara sauce for the mozzerella sticks, and received that 15 mins AFTER they were gone! Now, after saying all that, the food was excellent once we finally got it. Everyone in our group was happy with that part of the trip. When we were there earlier this year, the service was super! We even asked to speak to the manager, and complimented her on the service and food quality. This time we were totally disappointed and are very hesitant to go back. What Happened? If you have a whole day to waste, the food was good, but plan on a LONG wait to get it. Will not be going back!

I was very disappointed in my visit there. The bar was not busy and plenty of help milling about. Our group walked in and we were told to find a table, after 20 mins. someone showed up took our order, we asked to move our seats. 15 minutes later our drinks arrived, one of the drinks was whiskey and soda. A coke arrived as well S the beers the rest ordered. No whiskey and soda. Our server seemed oblivious to my request. Poor service, never again.

Our waitress, Kayla was awesome. The drinks were great, the food was delicious. It took a little longer than usual for our food, but Kayla advised that they were super busy with a short staff in the kitchen. She kept our drinks full, and we just enjoyed watching the boats go in and out while we waited. We will be back!!

It's under new management. Manager seems very customer oriented. The waitresses need some coaching on making better use of their time. NEVER walk by a table from the bar with an empty tray while that table is waiting for drinks. Or at least dipping the head and saying your drinks are coming right up. Work in progress!! Food was good
