815 Chop House

My husband and I dined at 815 Chop House a couple of weeks ago and had an excellent experience. Great food! Great drinks! Great service! AMAZING atmosphere! We enjoyed it so much we decided to bring our friends back for NYE dinner. As expected they were overwhelmingly busy and we had to wait quite a bit for food and drinks. When our orders eventually came out there were issues with almost all of them. The owner's wife herself came to our table and made everything right immediately. All restaurants have their off nights and it's all in the way you handle it. If your experience is not good for some reason they will make it right!

Just adding a quick note to my prior review... I have been to 815 Chop House a number of times and always had a great experience. Both the service and the food have been consistently great. Last night we took a friend from out of town. I had the peppercorn encrusted pork. OMG!!! It was one of the best meals out I have ever had out at a restaurant. The meat was so tender and flavorful. I had the others at my table try it and they all agreed it was phenomenal . Next time I go I'm ordering the same thing and I'm keeping it all to myself! Original... Three couples had our first dining experience at 815 Chop House over the Labor Day weekend. It was pretty unanimous that the food was excellent, the service was great and the prices were reasonable. I had the rib eye and it was delicious! The fry twists, basically their version of french fries, were phenomenal! Next time I'm trying the walleye, which also got very high marks from our group. I already made reservations for a small family gathering in a couple weeks.

The food was excellent. Medium-rare rib eye steak sandwich was perfect. My 6-year-old granddaughter and I shared and she kept saying this is so good, justifiably. Mother's crab-stuffed shrimp was juicy and flavorful. Daughter's pork was delicious. She doesn't care for potatoes but after trying the roast potatoes and fries, said they were outrageously good. Exceptional service!

Overall was good. Maybe I'm just a little pickier the older I get. Food was delicious, but asparagus did not seem to be 'grilled ' as expected, more towards steamed. Wife's steak a little more done than the medium rare she ordered. Service was good, although no fresh pepper offered for wife's salad even though other wait staff seen with pepper mills. Server was attentive but not overwhelming. Selections and prices seem proper.

You walk in and you feel like you are somewhere else! The lobby, walk- in area is comfortable yet swanky! We were greeted right away! We sat at the bar waiting for our guests to join us. Behind the bar was the sweetest bartender and she let us know her specials. We enjoyed a cocktail before our lunch, and the manager Carl came over to say hello! We then ended up at a beautiful table and enjoyed a meal that was amazing! The pork wings are delish! Our meals were so good and the staff super attentive! I would recommend this place and will be back for sure!

Was here for lunch had the crab cakes and stuffed salmon. My lady had the pecan walleye. Food and atmosphere is outstanding. The endless bread and home made butter is to die for. Service and customer care is top notch . So relaxing with the waterfalls and decor. Tony our server was outstanding and would recommend coming here and enjoying a BEAUTIFUL time.

Went for a late week night dinner with the family. The service and hospitality were great. Very cool and unique décor. Beer and cocktails are very moderately priced for a steakhouse. Saving the best for last, the food was delicious. Steak was cooked exactly as ordered and seasoned very well, but not over-seasoned at all. Will definitely be back and strongly recommend!!!
