Review Restoration - Crozet

I ordered the steak and fries, well done. I'll start off by saying my steak was not well done. Which is probably because they were short-handed. But the food on the other hand was pretty unacceptable. I am not sure why the steak came precut which made it super dry and tough, and the portion was inexcusable. The smallest portion of steak I have ever gotten for such an expensive price. The wait-staff was very nice and tried their best, but the chefs disappointed me with their food. Food was without a doubt awful.

We have had the delight of dining at Restoration on two occasions over the last week after having recently moved to Crozet. The patio is one of the most absolutely beautiful spots to enjoy a meal in the area. The service is always so friendly and attentive! Even during these times when the menu is limited, they still have a variety of options at really excellent prices! In particular, the spinach & artichoke dip is to die for and the salads are yummy and fresh. I cannot say enough good things about the environment, service, and the quality of the food!

Great first experience! Had a burger and a beer and both were excellent. Burger was cooked according to my request and the waitress and the bartender were very friendly and provided excellent service. Definitely will return and recommend.

mothers day brunch was good. drinks(soda juice) were extra which made pricy.

I already reviewed this place under a different heading but here goes another one. The patio is absolutely lovely to sit on for a meal and the food is really good. The staff is trying hard. And that counts for an awful lot. The people were really nice and I would highly recommend this place.

I really want to like this place but they've disappointed me a couple times now and the most recent one, on Mother's Day, was the worst. I don't know if there's some issue with the management or the scheduling of the servers but the service was very slow. It was at least 35 minutes before we even ordered our meals and that was really at our prompting. No refills on drinks without pursuing it. We had to go inside for help multiple times because no one returned to our table. I don't mind lingering over brunch if I don't have anywhere to be, but whenever you're not getting refills on your drinks and request condiments that don't arrive until after the meal's cold, then I have a problem. Also, out of six adults dining only one of us cared very much for our meal. The rest thought that it was mediocre. It really is a gorgeous location and they did a lot to set everything up nice for the day, including a photographer to take family photos with the lovely mountain view in the background. However, we all left saying that we would never return again, which is such a shame. It has great potential.

Seating options both inside & out. Good breeze & shade from umbrellas made outside tolerable even on a hot day. Nice mountain views. At noon on Sunday, could order off both brunch & regular menu. Pork belly was delicious.

We went there tonight for Mother's Day. There were 5 of us. 3 people had fish and chips - the fish was doughy with no flavor, the blt was lacking bacon and the fried green tomato was soggy with zero flavor, one meal was good and it was the salmon. The creme brûlée was horrible- didn't taste right and sat in some sauce, the ice cream had paper in it. The server was nice but he never ask us for a drink order we had to ask for our drinks, he kept forgetting things, the ice cream took 20 minutes to come out everyone had finished their deserts and then it had paper mixed in it. We were very disappointed. And the bill was way to big for the terrible food we were served. We won't recommend or go back!

Thrilled with our most recent trip to Restoration since reopening. Portions are large, prices are reasonable, food is delicious, menu is varied and special, drinks were made well, atmosphere is fun and service was wonderful. $4 menu options from 4-7 pm daily are an unbelievably good price for the amount and type of food you can get. The cheddar cheese curds were more than enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Children could not stop raving about them. The side of Mac and cheese was huge and one of my favorite I've ever had. Burgers were excellent. Salads were flavorful. Al a cart vegetable sides (we tried the caramelized fennel and rutabaga, French fries and the roasted brussel sprouts) were also a great treat. Definitely excited to try other menu items in the near future. So happy this place is back up and running.

This is a correction. We had dinner in two different restaurants and I got the reviews backwards, sorry for the confusion. The restoration restaurant was totally outstanding from the food to the waitress to the atmosphere. I recommend and will definitely return.

We had nice dinner here Friday. We love sitting on the patio for dinner - looking at the mountains and the golf course. Food was very good, service was great (Caleigh!). Prices are reasonable. A good place for kids to run around outside. They are starting live music, karaoke nights and some other promotions. New management seems to be doing some things right. I hope they stick around for a while; the constant change didn't help any.

Had our wedding luncheon there today. We had excellent caring service. The food was very good and the desert outstanding thank u Restoration staff. A beautiful place to have a celebration.

Went to their so called crab feast and it was horrible!!! Crabs were soggy to the point they were mush like baby food. I didn’t think you could cook crabs to that point. Had to wait over 30 minutes for the crabs to come out. Last years crab feast was amazing! I was so looking forward to it but what a disappointment, drove all that way to have to leave early. Did get our money back which was good but would have rather stayed and ate crabs. Will probably not be going back ever. What a shame!!

So the best night ever! Joined by our neighbors with their sweet daughter Clementine. Food and service were great. Add to that a great DJ and lovely young people that played on the lawn and it was magical! Great job Old Trail.

One of the best burgers I have ever had. The homemade pimento cheese was delicious. The staff was attentive, but most importantly, the view was amazing!! I highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful meal at Restoration. It was a gorgeous summer day, and the view is incredible. The food was excellent and the service prompt and friendly. i would highly recommend it!

Hidden gem in the western part of Albemarle. Open to everyone. Food is amazing. Great wine selection. Love the staff.
