McDonald's in Cromwell is a convenient stop over for a quick meal or snack. In this visit we met up with an acquaintance and to grab a snack. Although this is not our usual McDonald's of choice since we have one closer to home it was quite close and it is conveniently located to various shopping venues including Stop and Shop diagonally across the street, the Dollar Tree in the plaza less than a mile down the road( which also has a grocery store ShopRite), and Walmart a few miles away. Thus it can easily be integrated into errands or weekly grocery runs. The parking lot is rather tight. Being near the interchange with Rte 9 and the connection to interstate 91 there are many trucks stopping in for a rest or quick meal. This time there was a large car carrier taking up several spaces, making caution to enter necessary. The spaces are not huge and in an SUV we had to take care. The lot was above 75% capacity mid day on a work day. The entrance and exit were well marked and visible from the street. The restaurant itself is as one has come to expect from a typical McDonald's. The service was pleasant and friendly. One of the biggest draws for me is the inexpensive food. The quality is very consistent as one expects with a box chain store. If you are looking for a healthy meal or gourmet, McDonald's probably is not the choice for you. What it does shine at is inexpensive predictable food served quickly with a smile and that's what I got. The restaurant offers indoor dining options. We opted to order in and eat in our cars because we were awaiting the arrival of someone and wanted to be able to spot them. There was ample space to dine in had we chosen to, and there are several window seats with a view of the world going by outside. The drive through line was lengthy, and we got a better parking spot. Departing from the restaurant and the traffic are also a point to consider as part of your trip. While it is possible to exit to Shunpike Tpk either to the right or left, the traffic in the area is heavy most times, and making the left to head South requires considerable caution and patience. Integrating this stop into your excursion so that it is on your right to enter(such is the case if you are driving north on Shunpike, that is, towards route 217) and that you will continue to the North on exit will make the trip more pleasant and safe. Overall this was a good visit to a different McDonald's that I do not frequent. It was a convenient stop to have a quick meet up and grab an ice cream snack. The service was good, the menu predictable, and options to eat as expected. Parking, traffic, and long drive through are minor annoyances to consider. With a bit of planning you can make the most of the trip, get a good parking spot and arrive and depart with minimized hassle.

This McDonald’s restaurant receives a low mark due to the poor customer service and overall rudeness of the stamp towards certain patrons. I have been to many different McDonald’s restaurants, and I have never been treated as poorly as I have at this restaurant. I was with my girlfriend and we were enjoying breakfast, granted it was a very long night we had been partying and drinking. I guess you can see the party between us we’re still going on someone, but it was good clean fun it wasn’t rude or rude to anybody that was around us. However the staff seem to constantly walk by our table, give us weird logs, making snide comments, and just an air of overall disdain for our presence inside of the restaurant. I did not feel welcome nor did my girlfriend. It seems as if all of those employees just absolutely hate life, and they hate their job even more. If I was a corporate employee at the McDonald’s corporation I would go and take over the restaurant so fast their heads would spin. There needs to be sensitivity training on behalf of the Stephanie management. It also needs to be known amongst the employees of the restaurant that rudeness towards customers will not be tolerated and the managers should not ignore the type of behavior. Due to this incident, I will never eat at this location ever again, McDonald’s will lose money because I will go to a restaurant across the street as well my girlfriend. Also all of our friends who we told about the poor service at this restaurant. The owners of this establishment should be ashamed of the pure, unadulterated, rudeness of their employees whom displayed this tasteless behavior, as well as the extremely poor attitudes on display.

Super fast and friendly. It was pretty busy and I was in and out of the drive thru on a Saturday morning in under 60 seconds from the time I ordered. Excellent service

Service was really fast! That's the one star I give them! The reason the service was fast is because the fries were old and the food was cold! All the toppings of the sandwich were literally (and I hate that word!) all on left side of the burger this was the toppings and the meat were in the middle right side half of the bun... My burger so cold you couldn't even adjust anything a little bit. No receipt unless you ask. Dunno if policy, but definitely not a good one! Had no time to fix it or I'd be late to work.

Just like everywhere else the new generation has no sense of urgency and the cost of the products you sell are way over priced. For $2more I can get a real cheese burger with fries or salad and its so much more healthier. Major disappointment for a food chain that wasn't all that healthy to begin with get less healthier and more expensive

Always slow and unhappy service . I'm writing this review because after going here today 6/11/22 @4:35pm I will never go back. Blame whoever was working the drive thru and serviced 3 cars before coming back to me. Unacceptable.

This is a good location. The staff here is an older crew. Ordered breakfast egg, cheese, bacon on a biscuit, hash brown and coffee. Food was as expected. Wait was not too long approx 2 to 3 minutes.
