Will come back in a pinch but nothing fantastic. We had roast beef and it was good but waitress charged $30+ for 2 orders. She had worked a double so I didn't make a big deal but it seemed a little high.
I generally don't give reviews good bad or otherwise. That being said. We always have a great experience when we go to penny's place. It's like going to a friend's house. All the servers are friendly and good. The food is outstanding! The eggs Benedict is my absolute favorite.!
Stopped in at lunch time but decided to do their all-day-available breakfast. I ordered the country fried steak (choice of white or brown gravy) with 2 eggs, cheese grits and a biscuit. The food arrived hot, tasty and fresh EXCEPT for the biscuit, which was obviously left over from earlier breakfast
I have heard about y’all but haven’t had the pleasure to try y’all til this morning. I have been missing out. The staff hands down - down to earth, up beat and friendly. Not a glass goes empty or a coffee not topped off. Y’all are the exact example of what team work looks like. It is refreshing to
Staff was friendly even though they were busy. The food was absolutely amazing! It was our first time there and we will definitely be back!
Stopped on way after long day. The special for dinner this evening was Fried Chicken with 2 sides. The Fried Chicken was Crispy outside, juicy inside, appropriate temperature, and even though fried, it was not greasy (which is great!). The Cole Slaw was creamy, the Potatoes with gravy fluffy. The
I'm glad we found this diner. We from Jersey so...breakfast is always good. But sometimes food comes out bit differently even I order same menu. Otherwise service and coffee food is good. I will try dinner someday!
Prime rib aas good. Green beans had strange taste. Swapped out beans for okra. Owner is great!
Great place to eat a country meal with friendly waitresses.
Awesome place! We loved the breakfast. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding.
Small town charm that provides large portions with a country flair that will make everyone happy.
Had the prime rib omelette, it was great. Friendly service. Will be back!
Great sausage and gravy biscuits. Eggs Benedict was really good I mean really good. Hot chocolate and coffee were very good also. My wife was extremely happy with her waffles.Nice place and atmosphere we will definitely be back soon.
My pancakes were good and my husband says his hash had a nice crispiness to it. It's pretty far off the beaten path but if you're looking for a little local diner, not one of the big chain breakfast places this is a good spot. Keep the money local. The service was excellent. Pay cash unless you want
In a word, excellent! We're always looking for good new breakfast place and this one certainly checks that box. Everything we ordered was great the the biscuits and gravy are in a league of their own.
This is good living at this place. Knew it was my local breakfast place once I walked in. Locals greeted me, staff was super friendly and the food was great. I had the Biscuits and gravy and so did my wife, we took it to go because we had stuff to do. Man oh man was I full. I got double biscuit and
So I sat down for breakfast and everyone was super nice. Cool. I’m happy. I ordered some biscuits and sausage gravy with some cheesy grits it was good. It was all right. But I am a food scavenger. I look over at my wife’s plate and I see two sausage links that she wasn’t going to eat so I asked f
Just had breakfast at this location this morning, and me and my wife loved it! Good old country breakfast, great service with a smile and a good atmosphere. Not to mention the bread pudding is amazing and is a must have!!
