Excellent Mediterranean cuisine the food is very delicious the in-house bread and the olive oil delicious. Must try the Chicken Chops in the grill kabobs. Don't forget to have the in the shepherd salad.
We had a nice dinner with perfect service, and great food that you can not stop eating. I will recommend it to my friends.
I would like to congratulate new owner Yusuf, he is extreme with all the new upgrades he brought in including most recent menu with tasteful seafood additions. Everything is so delicious. One of my favorites is “Octopus Carpaccio”. I have been to many upscale restaurants, and I can genuinely tell octopus carpaccio has the Michelin star quality taste with its unique sauce. Newly hired chefs deserve the credit. I had been ordering filet mignon take outs from Sofia Englewood almost weekly, then recently I stopped, thanks to new menu item “Saslik” from Samdan. Main ingredient is specially marinated filet mignon, and it is served with potato puree on the very bottom and chefs secret sauce on top, this combination is mouthwatering. Since meeting with saslik, we started ordering weekly from Samdan for our family dinners. I made the order on a weekday lunch hour to try this place. Compared to other Mediterranean/Turkish places I regularly visit, Samdan was okay. I order was prepared and packed well, and delivered within an hour.
I ordered the Eggplant tomato and calf liver appetizers, ground chicken kabob. The portion size and the taste was decent. I was little disappointed with the liver, as it wasn't cooked the way I was expecting. The chicken kabob also lacked in flavor somewhat.
Yes, the food is incredibly delicious but friendly staff and elite atmosphere is very hard to find and Samdan has it all….
I tried all the appetizers, most of the main dishes and all were delicious. You can order anything you want on the menu without hesitating because it all will come out delicious.
It is a restaurant for a date night, family/friends night out. Oh! And I also seen them hosting big parties.
You must try this place. Go, go, gooooo now :) and thank me later.
This is my firs time here and wont be my last at this lovely restaurant. This restaurant is really amazing, food is delicious and fresh, service excellent: bus boys clean up without delay, waiters are on point. If you live in the NJ / NYC metropolitan area and live fresh seafood, kebabs and amazing service this is a must go to place.
