Review American Hero Family Restaurant - Creedmoor

I have never had a bad experience at American Hero. The food is great, especially the cold subs, Philly Cheesesteaks, and chef salad. The portions sizes are reasonable for the price. The owner and staff are super nice.

Awesome subs that are worth the money. I highly recommend the chicken Philly, the lamb gyro, and the gyro platter. They have weekday specials and you really can't go wrong here.

Philly Cheese Steak was wonderful. Pizza good too. Prices worth it. The large Philly is enough for 2. Definitely recommend and will come back.

American Hero is a nice place to get great food fast. The best pizza in town also!

Found this randomly on Google Maps as I was traveling through. The Italian sub and Chicken Salad my mom got were both delicious! Definitely worth the detour!

We love eating here, mostly the pizza. But everything we have had has been great.

Been a consistent if not regular customer for about 5 years. (about once a month). Had a very rough day at the restaurant that i work at, and called to check the hours for a pick up order. I explained i was driving up and it should take about half an hour, this was at 8:10 pm. I was clearly told the posted hours were until 9pm; putting me there around 8:40. The guy then backtracked and said i had to arrive by 845 to make an order. I'm not clear on why the sudden change, as they normally recognize my voice, and I ALWAYS tip on take because I'm a restaurant employee so i get it. What i don't get is the tone deaf back tracking on the hours for a 35 second transaction to grab some food. I had a bad day too, but i pushed through it and finished up with my valued customers before heading home on a super rare early night. All i wanted was a chicken parmesan pasta to go. Arrival was well within posted hours but they were clearly more concerned about leaving versus a transaction. The food is pretty good here, but nothing super special, and it's a simple thing to find Italian places that want my business. I picked up a $30 take out order at another local restaurant at 8:45 on the dot. A pleasant lady answered the phone, thanked me, and told me to take my time, and drive safe. That's how you do it The loss of my business will not hurt them financially I'm sure, but I prefer to do business with people who value my patronage. I work my tail off to be able to call for take out and treats like this. Epic fail guys
