My niece and I came for dinner. I was in the mood for steak and my niece had the special, which was meatloaf and mashed potatoes. My steak was sooo tender and I couldn't help but praise it. My niece decribed her meatloaf dinner the same way. When we left, we agreed we would have to come much more often!! Couldn't beat the service either! All in all, I give Mountain View Restaurant the highest of stars both to the food and the excellent service.
This was a really nice place. Clean, very well presented. Nice decor too. I had the ribeye steak medium rare and it was awesome. My girlfriend had the chef's salad and it was bigger than we both anticipated. The waitress was really nice and very attentive but I should note that we were the only ones there. I didn't stay in the hotel because I live in Clifton Forge, but as far as I could see, it looked decent enough.
I can't say enough about this restaurant if you would like a home cooked meal. I have been a loyal customer for awhile now. They have all new cooks (Steve and Mani) and all new staff. We always leave happy and satisfied. As I watch other guest too, everyone seems to enjoy the food. The decor is a little dated, but that doesn't take away from the new and great menu they created. If you would like to try some Indian Cuisine just let them know in advance (30 min wait at least) and the Indian cook, Mani, will be thrilled to make you something, proudly. Every staff member seems to love there job there and it shows in the food they make. See the photos attached for the new menu.
Also, there is a bar if you would like that is open until 2 am with pool tables.
There are new hours due to covid: Monday thru Sunday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Sunday for lunch from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm!
The service is a little slow (I think they have a small staff) but the food was really good! Very fresh, and the tea was perfect. Very friendly staff.
Try the Seafood Combo. You won't regret it. I have become a loyal customer of this place in th last few month. The food now really good. New menu plus Mani and Steve make this place awesome.
The food was delicious! We did have to wait a while to get our meal, but that wasn't a problem for us. We will go back soon.
